Have you ever played Warface? The “Anakon semi-auto shotgun” is a piece of work. My understanding is that, in real life, it’s a conversion kit for a tube-fed pump-action. Adds a detachable box magazine to the bottom. Yet in Warface, you still manually load all the shells into the usual spot like you would with any tube-fed shotgun. The mag just...sits there. I also have this vague memory that the conversion kit also turns the usual loading port into an ejection port (not sure about that, and I’m probably wrong), in which case, all the shells are being loaded through the ejection port.

Way of the Samurai: Forget about gear. Equip whatever you find, and concentrate on learning enemy patterns and rhythms, and learning your way around the levels.

Way of the Strong: Okay, now the enemies are tougher. Gear matters a little. Start collecting divines, and keep playing around with different sets and bonuses. Do a little reforging and soul matching to alter a stat or level here or there, but in general keep trading up as you find higher level and better gear.

Way of the Demon: Okay. Now gear matters. You've played around and tried enough different things - aim for a build and max it out. Reforge. Temper. Get all your stats buffed up, get your build tweaked and get your gear up to level. In the beginning you'll struggle. Towards the end, you'll feel like it's easy mode.

Way of the Wise: Okay. You've got great gear. Tough shit. Enemies are going to 1 shot you, and pummel the hell out of you. Your debuffs will now BUFF bosses. Most of your margin of error is removed. Same as Demon - you need to start upgrading your gear, leveling it up, maxing out stats, and collecting ethereals and their new set bonuses and stats. Again, like Demon, at first you'll struggle. Towards the end it will feel easier as your gear gets better.

Way of the Nioh: This one you get 3 choices: 1) Git Good. 2) Co-op. 3) Cheese build. I really can't offer better advice. It's a tough difficulty, with missions going up to level 1200+. I've had a lot more fun playing in the abyss and fiddling with my gear than I have running through all these missions for the fifth difficulty and bazillionth time. I can do them. I've finished almost everything. But it just feels like a grind at this point.
