Because getting more fps than that:

• Causes slight display latency
• Is a complete waste of energy and resources/computing power
• Can and usually does cause screen tearing

Setting in-game fps limit to match the monitor's refresh rate is always the way to go

I can get why the destruction was a lot more limited in V and 1 because the maps were not huge urban areas, but 4 overall had more complex looking destruction, and it was more balanced to where it was chaotic enough to look cool, but no so much that it disturbed the flow of the map
