Pets is a must and its pretty hard getting 5 pets without spending money. You do get atleast 3 from quest if i remmeber corectly. Value pack is kind of a must aswell. It gives less market tax, more weight/inventory slots. But you should get a few of these when starting the game.

Anyways the game is much better now than when i started. Some better awards and stuff, making it easier to progress. But personally i would play private server only anyways.
