So like a couple of days ago I decided to give Alan Wake Remastered a try since I never played the original Alan Wake game. I only completed the prologue and one episode and it seems boring to me? And clearly a very limited by Xbox 360 hardware game? The narrative, the enemies all remind me of quantum break which is similar to Control. Now I know they were all made by Remedy but that doesn’t mean they all have to be the same with confusing stories and same mechanics? Max Payne series felt different to me. I loved Control btw and Quantum Break was alright so this isn’t a diss per se. I just expected something different with Alan Wake. I did buy Alan wake 2 as well earlier this year. It’s actually the game I really wanted to play but I feel like I have to go through the first one before I play the sequel. I know it’s super early to tell cos I’m only an episode in and the game might turn out to be really good.

So, apparently The Half-Life 2 Overcharged devs released version 2.0. This version added code to one of the DLL's that if any one of three critics, those being NoClick, Scolcer, and Keron, attempted to play the mod, it would crash immediately with a message saying "STOP talking SH1T about us".

They had also attempted to block Radation Hazard through the same method, but they got his steam ID wrong and as such he was able to stream the mod.

NoClick was able to as well, he just had to play on an alt account.

What's funny about this is that the second name, his channel is not popular at all, his video on the mod had less than 500 views, yet the developers still felt strongly enough about it to block him from playing the mod at all.
