Black flag requires you to use it for a lot of it's missions, and it was designed as something you need to put some time into to progress through the story, but it still manages to do better than skull and bones.
Granted that's coming from reviews I've seen, but the control feel, strategic options, tone and reward is just flat out more satisfying in black flag still

This is the crux of it for me. I approached it during the beta like Destiny but with more abilities and a longer ttk, and had a good time. But that price for it just doesn’t feel right.
As well as even though I personally enjoyed it I could see the discourse and just knew it wouldn’t have too many people playing it
I wish it did better though. Especially when marvel rivals is getting the opposite treatment while it looks, in my opinion, not as fun. Now deadlock which I understand has the backing of being a valve game and it’s free, just feels like concord could have had a better chance

Honestly, yeah. Their recent assassins creed games have hints of good in them, there are parts of their design that if pushed properly could make the games far more fun, yet they still hold it back and play it safe
Shadows is the first stealth game since Blacklist that I can recall having light and shadow stealth, but the game will be lesser because its story by the very nature of the game’s structure will be poorly paced
Mirage had excellent city design, tool design and progression, but its parkour wasn’t given a meaningful boost to accommodate, and its story was dreadful.
Like, it’s annoying how many times you can see good in what they’ve made, but it’s shrouded by the rest.
