on console it's probably faster to launch since it's actually an app, on pc it's the mw3 client so whenever you want to play mw2 you have to open mw3 then wait for it to restart to mw2

It has to launch mwii because mwiii is launched by default in the cod hq

Yup pretty much I tried to play MP again not less than a week ago and launcher is still bugged, it has been destroyed with a WZ update and has never been fixed, Activision is aware of the problem but won't do anything
