Finished my sea of thieves game. Ended up gaining around 200,000 gold. And I did a bunch of captain ashen chest voyages, an emissary voyage, a riddle, sank two skull sloops, and randomly finding loot.

Before the update the best way to gain loot was stacking events, now it's back to the way things were when the game launched.
