Cod has always been a sweetfest. The issue about this matchmaking system is that it will just actively rig things to make things to be worse or better just to keep you playing.
Its all a massive smoke screen for actual underlying issues the way I feel.
You focus more on that than its shit mechanics.

Like I said, the game is really fun 50% of the time, when lobbies are fairly balanced, people plays whatever they want and have fun, when TTK feels right, when there is no packet burst/loss, when latency is low etc...

One of my friend and long time COD player always had around 1.2/1.4 K/D in any CoD before the reboot era (and jetpacks ones). He is by no means a slayer nor a very mechanical gifted player. He does his part and contribute to the wins by other avenues. Since the reboot era, he has like 0.6 K/D but with WORSE win/lose ratio than ever before because he is matchmade with literal demons to "compensate" his stats
How is this fun for anyone, even the 'sweatlord' in the lobby trying to carry the game everytime

I love BF for that reason because every skill level and every playstyle is very diluted across the large playercount
and BF has what we call PTFO centric rewarding gameplay/mechanics
So going for kills and being the slayer is cool but we also need the little mate behind us to get the flag capped when we're busy fraggin'
In CoD you cannot play objectives safely, you need to be the slayer and the objectives oriented one otherwise it's a lose

I did say to my co worker. The lowest of skill players can contribute in battlefield. They can throw ammo, heal or fire the odd rocket at a tank.
You don't have to be good to play battlefield. I get annoyed at players that rely on cheese but honestly.
When I take a step back it makes me glad that battlefield doesn't really pull off this shady shit.

What's cool about Battlefield is that..there is a way to contribute, express yourself and your skills by many different ways. It's that cohesion of vast variety of playstyles that makes it so unique and lovely
I LOVE people throwing me ammo, meds, acknowledging that I might be the slayer in this very lobby and people backing me up and having my back. Getting revived, helping everyone I can. It's like having a friend giving you a high-five and saying "I got this"
