I don’t oppose longer ttk in video games I suppose, guns are on average 600 rpm or higher so even a “average” ttk can still get fast, it’s really subjective though

but the best thing about bf for me is just how many skillsets there are to master, so I feel I can stick to it over several years and still enjoy it

Yeah i think the creativity must be so low and controlled that you just have to go with the flow of it. They give you a blueprint and a focus and boom, CoD every year. Like it has been like this since COD4 but COD was also known for their attempts at innovating itself every year. Sometimes it worked, sometimes it didn't. Like WaW is like COD4 but in WW2 settings. So it was also perceived as 'DLC' at the time and the setting didn't appealed to everyone. So MW2 came out and it was ...the same with extras
