Thereās a reason for it. But, spoilers. ||If you build stuff or put stuff in there when one of the 2 big events happen in New Atlantis, it removes everything.||
Didnāt know that before I did all that decorating.
||I guess when the city exterior updates. It also updates your penthouse back to ānormalā when the event is over. Since the penthouse isnāt actually behind a loading gate. You can jump off the balcony straight into the city. The elevator load screen is just to get you to the top||
So yeah. If you got the new Atlantis penthouse. Iād avoid decorating till you beat the main quest.
