when you go to a space dock and speak to the tech there, hitting the option to upgrade your ship will bring you to the menu where you see the active ship...you can scroll between all your ships you have in your "fleet" at the top
and then basically just have to look at the scorecard on the left side and A/B compare

I had that horse for so long 😭 He was speedy fast, the best boi arthur knew... And at my destination I also realized that i was travelling to the wrong location, so i could've avoided that train mishap 😦

if you go to the desert on earth there's an abandoned airbase. stand in the yellow aura and do the flight missions and you'll be max pilot skill afterwards. need to be named CJ though for some reason for it to appear

but then there are people shitting on it for being too boring and doesn't have action right at the start of the game

while to a degree I do agree with the sentiment that you don't have that 'choose a direction and find stuff' that skyrim offers, that's just the nature of the setting. Without a close confined map you simply cannot have that
but even then the tiles offer far greater storytelling, progression opportunities and don't sap your performance like a simulated planet would
