technically it isn't. i mean yeah it's half-life 1 remade, but it's interpretation made by fans. a damn solid fan made one, but officially not done by Valve. i would still recommend it to people who can't get into the original cause it manages to retain the core essence of half-life 1 and its story, but it's not like the difference between RE2 and re2make. those are both made by the official developer, whereas that's a bit different with HL1 and black mesa.
