honestly if you look at if from a muggle perspective how is it any different than pulling a gun lol

if you pull a trigger at someone, you are conscious of the fact that it will kill them

similar to how , in order for the killing curse to work you need to have the intention to kill

its almost like its a safety feature lol if you cast killing curse on someone you dont want to kill it wont kill them
