I'm playing it on Hard difficulty and it's, well, hard. I did try it on Easy and Normal, Easy makes it so that you really don't need to follow the beat well, but bosses are still a challenge

No matter what your attacks land on the beat, but pressing attacks on the beat is more effective

Also the combo system is pretty good, feels almost like Devil May Cry but not to the same level. Surprisingly works well on KB+M!
