Rockstar released GTA V and then immediately tasked almost all of their dev studios on RDR2, which took 8 years of work to build. Then in 2019 they moved those teams onto GTA 6, so its only really been in the oven for a couple years by this point. People are speculating that the leaked footage is from various points in time starting in 2019 up until last year.
Given the time it took them to make RDR2, 2024 for release is optimistic but unlikely, it will probably go on longer

yeah there's been people saying that the leak is good because now there's footage of the game in an unfinished state online, it will give a generally poor view of the game and destroy the hype and interest, so rockstar will have to work quicker and release it to avoid the backlash... like what is this fucking logic
if anything the game is going to be delayed due to the source code leak. Rockstar now have to patch security vulnerabilities, re-write portions of the code that could be used to create exploits/cheats and ensure that it won't lead to security issues with their online services also.
game was already looking at a 2024/2025 release at best, can expect it to be pushed back a year or more now most likely
and so many people complaining that its been 9 years since GTA V came out and we still haven't gotten a sequel... we know that they had post launch support to work on, then had RDR2 to work on, and they've only in the last few years started real work on GTA 6 beyond the concept phases

I think they canned RDR Online cause it didn't seem like it was going to have the lasting appeal that GTA Online has, but the thing with GTA Online is a lot of people have invested a lot of time in it because it's been out for so long, and it's not like cheaters in GTA Online started out being able to fuck the game up as badly as they can now, that happened over time. RDR Online, they had people fucking up the game very quickly after the launch, which caused a lot of people to not wanna play anymore because they've not invested a lot of time in it.

The gun play movement is slow, reminds me of BF1. The gun mechanics is cool kind of like it over 2042. Map designs are weird, very tiny. enemies camp like crazy. The specator mode is amazinggg, all FPS should have a similar spectator mode as MW2. Gameplay6/10 . Gun gameplay 8/10. Map design 5/10(FARM18=CAMP18). There's def room for improvement. Very cool game. I'll consider buying it if i can get it on sale.
