The big issue with 2042 is the severe drop in visual fidelity, lack of core battlefield features, poor engine coding (cpu bound source) poor optimizations for the gpu, and a very bad case of memory leak. I played bf1 last night and was amazed at how nice it looked on medium settings vs ultra on battlefield 2042, it's disappointing. As a result, it feels empty and allows for even more camping so snipers can just sit back and pluck infantry from the fields
I've actually went through 3 seizures from visual stutters, texture pop in, and poor frame rates, all within 30 minutes of game play for each separate occurrence

imo this is the scenario that made bfv end support. they couldnt make "cool" skins to sell because the community was raging that it wasnt "ww2" enough, so there wasnt enough income to support maps and weapons (which were previously paid for dlc)
