I think it's highly probable that it's your GPU that's the problem, not the PSU. Do you have another PC or a friends where you can install your GPU and see if you're still suffering the same issue?

At this point, wait for a Day 1 patch for 2042 and see if it fixes your problem. If not, then you should probably have your GPU checked out by the store you bought it from. They'll usually let you test for free.

It has nothing to do with battlefield now. Like battlefield is my probable cause of this.. I actually had uninstalled bf2042 just earlier to see if maybe it would somehow unfreeze my gpu. But nothing. I feel like it migthve been an issue between nvidia control panel and 2042

I have an alternative solution for you
which is far easier than what you are trying to do
what you are thinking can be done however it's highly technical to implement
because of physical limited distances of the ethernet cable
you'll need something called a CAT extender a few probably and to link them together with your router and the modem, it isn't particularly practical because you'll then to figure out a way to run the wires (aka on a wall or something) @obsidian sedge
after that you'll need to turn your modem exclusively into receiver only mode

There's an issue right now in BF2042 where any RTX 3000 card runs horribly. Even at low settings you can only get around 80-100 FPS.

especially for multicore, going from the i7 9700k to the r9 5950x was a day/night difference in terms of video rendering performance and recording

I personaly think it'd be well executed for bf2042. If you plan on running 1440p res, then it's a perfect match imo. Way before bf2042, i planned on same rig, but went with r5 5600x and a 3070ti (even tho i have 3080 laying at home rn) since it's 1440p, it doesn't need much cpu power. Will probably switch over to 3080 once i buy a new monitor, for now, it's just pointless. And since bf2042 uses (just now, who knows if they will fix that) only 8 cores, 3800x would be good fit. Maybe sum water cooling and cpu oc and you're all set

Yeah i've had the issue but i've seemed to resolve it. Re install windows drivers (make sure they are up to date) if you've OC your card just tone it down a bit, also re install gpu drivers.

I'm assuming you saw Hardware Unboxed's vid? In that case he only got 1080p60 because he has a way overkill CPU (for benchmarking purposes of course) AND he has the 6GB version which is far faster than yours.
There are some tips you can do to help your performance:
Enable Dynamic Resolution Scaling in the in game settings.
Go to your Documents/Battlefield 2042/settings/PROFSAVE_profile and edit shadowquality to 0 and DX12 to one

Im not sure what you're getting at. I have a whole ccx at 5.1ghz. The 5900x auto boosts to 4.95 single core my all core is 4.875. I have a top 2% 5900x and never heard anyone saying i lost performance before with those numbers.

overclocking individual CCXs totally fries CPPC2 scheduling for finding the right complex to assign resources too, CPPC's SC is dependent on the CCX clocks not being tampered with to operate efficiently
