You can still request a refund with Valve. They will do it case by case basis, you just have to explain exactly the issue. Now, if it's 10 hours, maybe no luck, but they do help sometimes by refunding over the 2hour limit.

Hi, about one month ago all of my Battlefields stop working (BFV & BF4) I thought it was something with the game so I ignored it. I recently just downloaded and tried playing BF2042. It also doesn't work. When I load it up it puts me on a blackscreen. I also tried it on my xbox. It works their, but not on my pc. I'd suggest you do all updates on Windows then newest Game Ready RTX 2080 driver and do a "Clean Install" when it shows that option in the RTX driver install.

I have a really weird issue with using mouse to look around, if I move my mouse any direction it doesn't track there smoothly. It snaps pretty much 45 degrees immediately in that direction. If I try the keyboard for freelook it's nice and smooth but not really playable. Mouse works fine in the menu and the buttons fire and such.

maybe it's included in the BF2042 root folder too

Yeah you'll be fine there. Though you should do a bit of testing first and see if it does work since performance is really variable across all systems. You have 24 hours to refund it after you launch the game so make most of it.

What many people dont seem to understand for performance is that with crossplay, you get matchmade with console players who predominantly play on WIFI rather than PC players who predominantly play on ethernet

Example i got ingame when chatting to people: Austria/PC/Ethernet: 35ms | Germany/Xbox/Wifi: 60-70ms

its sometimes really not a performance issues when you see people hanging or rubberbanding, its simply cross played players on wifi laging

These are some graphs while playing forza 5

As you can see there is a power and power percent drop while the fps drop

The fps go down

Power of gpu goes down

Power percent goes down

And the frametime spikes up

Might my psu be bad or what

Cause i had problems with a lot games

With sudden fps drops

And dont know what to do

Maybe someone knows

There's many things that could cause a frametime stutter, sometimes it's just the game

PSU should be fine as long as the voltage is relatively stable

If it was really unstable then you'd probably crash

Also I overclocked my memory like earlier today and I can say that it does help my performance in 2042

It seemed smoother and seemed to use more of my GPU

OC'd from DDR4-3600 18-22-22-42 to DDR4-4000 at the same primary timings, though secondaries and tertiaries are heavily tweaked

and VDIMM is upped from 1.36 to 1.46V

and had to add a RAM fan as well and a piece of cardboard to redirect the hot exhaust from my 3090's backplate

Typically wo/ drops maybe 70-120 ish without really measuring it... CPU frametimes are a lot more unsteady while my GPU frametimes are pretty good and normally above 100 FPS, you can check using perfoverlay.drawfps 1 in the console

You could, but it can be tricky to OC memory in general

Raise voltage, increase freq, tune timings, all the while testing in between to see if it is stable

In anything else though, the 12900K will probably give a big boost. It has a pretty huge IPC improvements over 10th gen. I mean, it trashes the Ryzen 5950x in most games.

10700K IIRC has slightly worse latency than 9900K between the cores/ring since it's a bigger die that's cut down from 10900K

He's talking about marketing terms which is used wildly incorrect. For example 4K as in 2160P isn't actually 'true' 4K as well but since marketing used it so much, 2160p just became "4K".
