then get 3200mhz for your next cpu
ram speed
Btw since I was talking about that Gigabyte PSU a few days ago here, I gave it away to a friend to test some stuff on it.
He tripped OPP on it, loaded it to about 70%, it blew.
thats smart
Gig
byte
hopefully it didnt break anything
Well, he wanted it for that exact reason.
lmao fair enouph
Who doesnt want free explosives
Who wants a paid time bomb at home tho? No one should risk their computers or their safety for a part with terrible built quality
Derek
premium from gigabyte
yeah same as GN
Though one of them died without OPP and just a constant load instead over a day
I think GN's popped even earlier, at around 60%
Need help
I destroyed my mouse
And need a new one
Can anyone dm a decent cheap mouse
Like
Under 50 dollars
you're going to summon Nyphon with that
@storm osprey
i already have this 😎
Is it normal 3700x-3080ti 1440p bottleneck
yeah why i warned about it
yes
i wasnt, the different 1005 SMD for the different z height means its a problem
thats not so simple, the layer is packed on a top and bottom layout, which doesnt exist for RKL, or 10th gen
it will have to be done exclusively for ADL, existing techniques dont work
wait why did people delid cpus again
For better cooling performance
LOL
@pale quartz so, I've got a tricky issue. My PC started to randomly lock up. I tried a 60 min run of Prime95, no errors, a full run of Passmark Memtest86, no errors, ran Furmark for 45 mins, no issue, ran on each stick of RAM individually, no luck there as well.
is this a full system lockup or part freeze lockup?

Initially I can click tray and taskbar icons and get visual feedback, then it locks up.
hm sounds like a kernel level induced panic, check if there's any kernel exceptions present on event viewer (if there are inform me but don't paste them here)
Critical event coming from Kernel-Power. I assume that's because I had to force it to power down.
shit yeah was anticipating it but hoped it wasn't, right I'll get back to this, can't handle this here since event viewer shows sensitive information, dm me and I'll handle it from there
the razer basilisk esstential is decent
the cpu is the bottlneck
but when i try to play bf5 cpu around %50 and gpu around %60
1440p 90-110 fps ultra-rtx on-d12
fps drop and laggy bit
what ram and motherboard
laggy when the match starts?
when i try to run :D
x570 msi gaming plus
trident z neo 16gb 3600mhz
temps under 60 degree
game freezing like 1sec
the ram is dual channel right? (or quad-channel?)
could you check task manager to see if there's anything maxing out at 100% while you're gaming?
do you use a hard drive to launch your game?
m2 ssd nvme
msi afterburner shows %50 task manager %80 cpu load
while in game
could just be some windows bug or its kinda normal for the game to freez and stutter when its loading the massive maps
two different measures for the cpu?
yes
Does it just power down or black screen?
Neither. I get feedback from taskbar icons for a few clicks then it hangs completely.
And you tested the RAM in a different system?
I tested each kit using Passmark's memtest from an USB
All 13 tests ran with 0 errors.
Possibly OS drive failure? If it were power supply, the system would shutoff partially, GPU would be signal loss, RAM would be blue screen, same for CPU
@hidden pumice Some basic troubleshooting things ,
Are you 100% sure that you enabled XMP? This is what makes the ram run at the advertised speed and if it’s not it could be causing performance issues.
if you previously upgraded from a older GPU, specifically radeon, did you do a full DDU to get rid of drivers?
I guess also make sure drivers are completely updated just as a general rule of thumb but that probably won’t fix it.
rams at 3600mhz full speed xmp on
i was using gtx 1080 and bought 3080ti, installed fresh w10 and drivers
What is the agreed best CPU for BF2042 paired with a 3080 Ti. Not going for a 3090 as there is no real performance gain compared to the 3080 Ti.
My monitor is only 4k60hz atm but I might buy a 4k144hz or 4k120hz TV in future
Ryzen 7 5800x
Ryzen 9 5900x
Ryzen 5 5950x
Ryzen 9 3900x
Ryzen 9 3950x
Intel i7 10700k
Intel i7 11700k
intel i9 11900k
intel i9 10900k
intel i9 9900k
intel i7 12700k
intel i9 12900k
all valid options
Think my AIO is dead
My ryzen 5 goes 101c with an aio according to msi aftetburner 😩

At least i can still use my pc, but it does overheat at high load
I think i'll contact the place i bought it tomorrow and return this one
my dirt cheap deepcool aio still going strong after a few years
bit gutted im going to have to get rid of it for intel 12th gen.
unless deepcool come out with a bracket for it, but considering its completely outdated and replaced i doubt that will happen
G502
G502
one day nyphon will just accept that he is wrong and that the g502 is the best mouse on the planet
I suppose so, just as simple as changing fan if there is issues
Mine isn't even 1 year old yet
its a 240mm aio, cost me 45 pounds. all the rgb a man could ask for. keeps my cpu under 60c
ive owned 2, i gave both away, ill never accept a lie
a 2600, which is a cool running cpu, but a 100w under synthetics isnt anything to scoff at i guess
I see, i see it was red
indeed
i look forward to the nice 150w 12600k
I think i got mine to 160-180w i think it was
and thats if intels "turbo power" is accurate. wouldn't be completely surprising if its more than that
i9 9900k
plus you bet ill have it oc'ed

I think those was no oc
what, the 12600k?

It has base at 3.6 i guess that's where they do TDP from or something
probably
they said the tdp was 125w. with the turbo tdp being 150w
but i dont think either will be true tbh
But it will run 2 cores i think at 5ghz and rest 4.7
my old i5 7400 was a 65w tdp and i never saw it go over 40w
The watt i said was with turbo mode tho
Let me check what watt i get now, i had to clock it down to 4ghz lol
4ghz, thats yikes for a 9900k
I usually switch off turbo and hyper threading
a whole ghz lower than what it can do

is that 100% load?
at 4ghz?
Mhm
All cores
Should keep hyper threading
Nah. That was my old Xeon tho
Well also turbo if your cooling is good enough for that cpu
I only got 1 cpu fan and 1 exhaust fan for that build
No need for for cooling since it don’t get hot anyway
I don’t play games on that pc
If your gpu is at 100% anyways it don't matter, won't get more fps
It is fast for browsing YouTube and not kidding. The SSD is fast
Ah
I see, i see
man that was bad lmao
i wanted to SS how much power my cpu draws at 4ghz to show its about 95w (more than a 9900k at 4ghz which has more cores)
i set cpu z's priority to high to see if i could get more juice flowing, and the system was so slow after that the test wouldnt stop heh
task manager crashed, cpu z was responsive but the buttons werent doing anything. had to sign out
You need 3090 2 way sli and 256gb ram for youtube

I remember I did however, set a RAM disk before
So the cache will go directly toward the RAM disk
But since google chrome just cache it into RAM these days anyway
I just don’t see the whole point of doing that anymore
Didn't intel make somekind of cache or ram disk thing?
Not sure
Like to boost HDD speed or something
What I was referring to, is not making chrome to make any single traces via SSD
Well, optane is good for system drive
Low latency but it isn’t good for the price
Would rather grab a Samsung SSD coz it worth the price anyway
Was gonna get that actually but got a m.2 instead anyways
random question but does anyone know of any white tower coolers?
preferably with no rgb, just w h i t e
because rn im getting an nhd15 with the chromaxx.white covers, which will be expensive
...
spray paint one of your choice
i was considering dark rock pro 4 and painting it
but id be scared of ruining it. so thats a last ditch i guess
pretty sure id cooling and arctic have white cpu coolers
yeee that one
it says suitable up to 210w. but i cant see it tbh
similar to a hyper 212
Zen 4 has double the L2 cache of Zen 3, no info on L3 cache yet
the second one looks beefy but its a brand ive never heard
same, i like arctic... obviously
hmm.
i feel like 88c at 150w is still pretty hot.
considering that im assuming the 12600k will draw more than that when its turboing. im not sure
if its worth paying double for the nhd 15
the 11600k peaked at 220w iirc
So building a high end pc what's the verdict on cooling.. Not doing a water loop but what are my options and pros and cons
depending on price the arctic liquid freezer ii is just too good to pass up unless you dont need that much cooling
I need to cool my 187w ryzen 5 2600
yea for essentially 90 bucks anything 60 bucks or more i would say this dominates those suggestions
i guess the only con to the arctic aio is longevity, air coolers just naturally last longer, but its not like a quality aio is going to die within 5 years anyway
pretty damn sure their warranty is 6 years, so they believe it will last at least that long, but if something other than a fan goes out youre looking at replacing a whole new one, compared to air coolers its only the fan that will go bad and those are easy/cheap to replace
Great cooler and very easy to install
how tf is that using 200watts
what aio do you have?
honestly best cooler is the noctua nh d15 unless you go watercooling (360-420mm)
arctic liquid freezer 240 > nhd15
Artic liquid freezer 2
actually not, the nhd15 is compared to a 360mm aio in testing
Overclocking 4.3 ghz all core at 1.4v
damn that 1.4v
noise normalized and it is the 280mm, which isnt THAT much better than the 240mm
oh well alright i guess
It scored over 8100 in cinebench it was beating a few Xeons
I have the 360 mm
If I try to post at 3600mghz which is what the ram is rated at windows will tell me that it lost parts of the kernel
The silicon has been degraded sadly
I just bought the chip to update the bios to support 5000 series which I’m getting a 5900x
Lap the aio and try 5 gigahertz all core
sounds like a fantastically horrible idea
But on the 5900x
So 12 cores at 5 gigahertz how many watts should it draw?
400w?
Yeah
One message removed from a suspended account.
One message removed from a suspended account.
One message removed from a suspended account.
thats a damn good chip, mine will only do 4.1 at 1.4v
although i still cant see that consuming 187w
mine consumes 100w at that speed
considering the voltage is the same, the power draw shouldnt be much higher
The silicon bin and temperature of the chip are the main factors of power draw for a cpu
yeah but thats like up there with a 10900k with an all core oc locked with locked voltage
The score of the cpu or the silicon bin?
essentially 90 bucks
what dat mean]
its 89 bucks, so i rounded up to 90
but people are fucking pedantic that they would argue "its actually 89, not 90"
colloquially yes but really it doesn't make any sense either way
hmm sounds a bit.. pedantic
i saw that the 12900k can do better in almost every benchmark than the 5950x
il will run 2042 like smooth butter
lets just wait and see
Got to 6.9 GHz at 420 watts
what did?
Oh interesting
Long hair guy has some biceps

Same
Hi I got amd Ryder 5 3350g pro cpu can I be able to run the battlefield 2042
The cpu it self
you cannot no, it does not meet the minimum requirements
Ok thnx
yeah they're all good cards really regardless of the vendor, you won't have any issues
Xtreme is decently binned iirc, so it's what you're after
yes
the fuck is that plate, that doesn't look right
Eh, old pentium chips were also bare die 🤷♂️
Derp, I was think of athlons and the like. Wrong manufacturer
which old athlon has exposed die
Some of the mobile ones I think. But truth be told that's not desktop
i need that beefy noctua cooling nvidia gpu
rtx 3070 50-60c 30db
on max load
lol
Parts retirement from my old rig is just a beginning for my 2nd machine
perhaps to no short the cpu wit liquid metal
I have;
3080ti evga ftw3
3700x ryzen 7
16gb trident z neo 3600
x570 msi gaming plus
Want to change cause bottleneck with that cpu, what should i buy?
💀
TBP (total board power) will be around 600-650 watts
They really need to stop cranking up the power
I love number but I hate math.
rtx 3090 msi one has very very beefy heatsink
at its power draw is like 360w
3 fans
i mean thats a pretty good cpu if you want to upgrade get a 5800x i guess
or even 5900x but it costs more but its better and has more cores (if you do video editing or streaming its better)
gonna buy a new psu just for the gpu, double psu system 💪
i have that gpu and sometimes it spiked up to 400 or more watts but normally it sits like at 350
The wattages are indeed stupid. Gaming computers act like space heaters which is the last thing many offices, rooms, apartments etc. need.
Plus it's bad on the environment
I bet EU will ban 500+W gaming GPUs
Imagine all the miners using thousands of those kind of GPUs, there would be blackouts
more for us in na land
Wouldn't they just make those cards unable to mine? Like they did with the second batch of 3000 cards
i dont even need my radiator ever turned on in my bedroom i just get my pc to heat up my room
It sucks ass when your PC heats up the room/house during the summer
yeah it does
Lmao..yikes tier self promotion
i have a fan but it does literally nothing in my room lol
amd all the way
id say it depends on resolution and of course what you can even get at what price
RX 6000 series is fun to overclock
bro its actually a good thing so you dont have to pay to warm up your house /s
jokes aside my pc really does warm up my house while playing bfv
Drivers for RX 6000 GPUs are fine
Also seems like you can almost get a 3090 for just a little more than a 3080Ti and have double the VRAM
3080ti is for all intensive purposes a money black hole if you're buying one, just get a 3090
and yeah the drivers have been fine lol
If planning on keeping a GPU for 2+ years, always go for higher VRAM capacity
You never know what next gen games demand
i feel like its going to start to really test the abilities of blocks/cold plates/ thermal paste/ cooler efficiency. if there is 500w packed into a gpu by default
not just the surface area of the heatsink
it doesnt, just ramp up the fan speed, you solve your issues pretty much
if inaudible*
500w bioses already exist for the 3090 and have for a while
used sparingly for those in the enthusiast community
but if the tdp of the 3090 is what? 350? and the tdp of the 4090 is 550
then the Xoc bioses might be pushing 700w
if it stays proportional
tdp doesnt matter
hardware manufacturers already push the 3090 beyond 400 as a standard
450w is common for the most overclocked 3090's, and common spikes for the FE 3090
Nvidia power does spike like a mf even with RTX 2000 series
what the trouble with this 3090ti is, is that spikes will push towards 600w of power
my 2070 doesnt really power spike as far as ive observed
which is verging on big trouble for 850w PSUs
it doesnt have the cooling headroom for it :P
it does
it just isnt measured in software
i see
3090Ti supposedly is bringing a whole new power connector from the already new 12-pin
seriously. the cooler on my card is totally inadequate, i hit thermal limit before the stock power limit
never mind cranking the power limit like most people say to do
ive never seen it not on temp limit
with a 100% power limit and a cranked temp limit tho!
still at temp limit
173w, 2w below tdp. 87c
100% fan speed
that’s a problem h
what are you doing wrong where you’re at 87c on a 2070
gigglebyte
im debating a re-paste.
because if i touch one of the two heat pipes its like room temperature, whilst the other is hot. so im wondering if somethings not right there.
Gigabyte be skimping on actual heat pipes..the other ones are placebos
also its currently 4 degrees Celsius outside so its not air temp
is it not to do with your pc cases air flow or am i way off target ?
Just curious do you guys think the system requirements will stay the same or change for the launch of the game?
checkk the temps with hwinfo 64 so you can also see vrm temps and other sensors on the gpu
also 87 is kinda high
perhaps also thermal pads
i used the noctua nt h2+ gelid thermal pads and i saw a 10c drop on my 3090
My card doesnt have sensors other than core
Case airflow can be a factor but its not that
Not in my case should i say
oh
If I'm cold all I need to do is game, my 3080ti keep this room warm all year long
lol thats how ive felt recently
Man I wish my room can go cold
Even with all windows open it doesn't become cold as it's too insulated
Would not be surprised if the next GPUs use even more wattage that they will begin having memory on the backside of the cards with their own heatsinks
6 fans on a GPU here we go
Just gamed for 2 hours, 24c
Oh no
Hopefully it doesn't require a lot more or it'll make the power bill a lot
then something is 1000% wrong with it
not even my 3080 gets that hot
Yeah but your 3080 has a considerably better cooler
Its a windforce 2x. They are notorably bad designs
Which is why im on the fence about even bothering because the chances of it changing anything are low
If i have the temp limit at 81 like it is stock. It will stay there
But it will thermal throttle a lil
Well not even, just it wont boost
1615mhz is boost speed. It can turbo to 1800 easy, but with the temperature limit it will be stuck at about 1650.
okay dudes my keyboard MK70 space just broke and in need for another keyboard, any recommendations
budget and wants?
about 200$$$
jesus
well if you want meme rgb lights with brand recognition corsair k70 or whatever is around that price now
What case?
yh ik i was recommending razer
ooo gotcha
lack of sleep
oh rip
Corsair carbide 275r
Is the front panel solid metal?
I can’t tell from product images on google
just at face value id probably recommend whatever DROP keyboard is under 200 bucks
even if they arent the BEST value, they are better than just about any gaming keyboard
Its solid plastic but there is a good 3/4 inch gap all the way around the edge
what about 910 the one from logitech ?
Take off the front panel someone here had temperature issues here not that long ago on a 2060 and lowered temps by 6c if I remember correctly
Oh
Its a big gap for air
iirc those have laser etched keycaps which are horrible and they have their proprietary romer g switches which means you can only use logitechs shit keycaps, thats a hard pass imo
Yeah
It’s a gigabyte product nothing to worry about
standard cherry stem on left, romer g on right.. 99% of keyboards use cherry stems, and 99.9% of keycaps use stem as well
are gatreon switches good nyphon ? i want to get them in my next keyboard probs
Sadly oh well
cant really go by brand in general, especially with switches
ahh
gateron, kailh, and cherry make like... 200 switches between them
oh
and within a brand you can get switches like gat browns that are scratchy because their tooling is old so the molds are worn which fucks up tolerances, when their red switches could be brand new and super smooth
I've a G815 and love it, mainly because it's low profile though.
https://youtu.be/6poHkIBSGhw these are the ones i like atm but it might change in the future idk
Keyboard Kit: GK61X https://amzn.to/2FaYU2Z
Keycaps: https://amzn.to/35edD80
Cable: https://tezcables.com/cables/
Switches: https://www.pcgamingrace.com/products/gateron-switches
Lube: Super Lube
Note: Sound will differ depending on case, plate, keycap material, and profile. Video from a Galaxy S10 & Note 20 Ultra. Audio from Samson G-Track Pro...
i like stock and lubed ngl
last i recall their blacks were good, but that was years ago and idk how their tooling is holding up now
oh
to showcase the importance of tooling, cherry had their patent or something exclusive to themselves for a loooong time, once it ended other companies started making switches too, but other brands made much better switches because their machines were new vs cherry using tooling from decades ago
so for the longest time if you knew anything about switches, you were a damn fool for buying cherry mx reds because they felt like shit, when you could get gateron reds that were waaaaay better and cheaper
i dont like the sound of many clicky switches tbh like reds or blues
to me they just sound cheap for some reason
reds are linear, blues are clicky
wait reds are linear
blacks are just harder to press reds
thnks nyph 😄
thats the simplest answer i can give without asking if you want custom, stock, what you want it for and why, can you solder, etc
i like green clicky switches as i have them rn but blues i just cant stand
razer green?
yeah
those are literally razers "proprietary" blues
i would say that greens are kinda quieter then blues which i think is why i prefer them
(razer uses kailh to make green switches)
oh
theres a ton of factors to why that could be, housing tolerances, spring ping, mount type, materials used on the keyboard, keycaps
so unless you are directly comparing two switches where everything is exactly the same BUT the switches, you cant really draw a conclusion to the differences in terms of sound, and technically feel as well
i think they have the same materials but just different spring
would only make sense to me tbh
well there are 2 "springs" in a clicky switch, theres a leaflet and a spring, but im talking about a KEYBOARDS materials changing it
ohhhh
i wish razer made their keyboards hot swappable as well but i guess that would be pointless in a way as it is a "razer" keyboard
id be willing to bet a kailh blue and a razer green would be indistinguishable to almost everyone
and that includes someone like me...
well if kailh make razer switches basically then there probs is not much of a difference
Subtle differences between the Azio MGK1 RGB and the Razer Blackwidow Chroma V2.

but to go back on what you said earlier, i would highly suggest people that have a vague interest in keyboards to get a hotswap keyboard
see with a hotswap keyboard do you have to solder ?
or would that just defy the point of it being a hot swappable keyboard
i might just build my own hot swappable keyboard then so i dont need to solder
there are a lot of hotswappable keyboards out there, just not by "gaming brands"
plus i can just change the switches if i want to whenever really ig
glorious GMMK probably being the most popular and one of the cheaper options
i might get a TKL keyboard aswell instead of 100%
glorious has 3 size options
i used my keypad but its not all the time and its just sitting there most the time
full, tkl, and 60% iirc
wait do the TKL keyboards have F1 and so on keys at the top ?
yes
only when you start getting into less than 75% do you normally see the function row go away
i will most likely get a TKL if they have them keys at the top as i used them often
some of my mates have a 60% and get done over without the function keys to
a TKL gmmk with gat blacks is 130 bucks for me
would building my own keyboard be cheaper then buying one or would it depend on what PCB and other accessories i have ?
if i could get a cheap hot swappable keyboard and then buy my own switches and probs keycaps i would do it just to save time
uhhh... theres so many factors i cant give a straight answer
oh
you can do piece by piece, buy a kit, barebones, pre assembled, etc
i assume piece by piece and pre assembled are generally the cheaper options but thats kind of a vague statement
welcome to my ted talk

Its not enough
Tkl just doesnt have the numpad
And thats pretty inconvenient to press ctrl and then the key
What if a keybind is left ctrl + f1 lets say
It wont detect it
And i use the function keys on bf4
For seat switching
just upgraded ram
It’s plenty
I want to keep a BFV server up any advice? Should I run in like a Virtual machine?
are they really not planning any 120 Hz support for consoles?
In 2042 or in general?
in 2042
they are to weak to get those stable framerates
really got that average dice optimisation at release i guess
I heard they planning it for later.
And what i know Xbox X running 1440p to dynamic 4k? So i guess their solution for a 120 fps is go down to 1080p which wouldn't be a issue for me, cause then we have 120 fps which is a total difference to 60.
Not this generation but last gen console
but how tho?
i thought they were like 3060 or 3070 performance?
I don't get
tell me now or Japanese man unclogs your toilet the hard way

and he's serious this time
Why buy a 3070ti?
they arent and they already said it
its not a matter of resolution bcs that would be even worse, they re already stressing the cpu too hard
128 players is a lot for a console that uses an apu basically
they re not
more like 2070
Even the newest version?
My Xbox series X handled the beta battlefield just fine
The console was outputting at 4K 60 HDR a LOCKED 60 fps
its not 4k
its upscaled to4k
not rendered in 4k, thats how consoles work
for native 4k you need way better hardware
nah you can also play on native 8k but you need a 3090
i mean the ps5 probably doesnt even output 8k
even pc cant do 8k easily
Sony says the ps5 can do 8k but they are limited by the bandwidth of the hdmi 2.0 port
8k is more of like a fever dream for consoles now
no the ps5 has hdmi 2.1 afaik and it can do 8k
but not gaming at 8k
probably just output
or its downscaled
According to Nvidia 8k gaming is a thing
i mean you play on a 8k tv but the game is at 1440p for example
it is but its basically impossible
very fee games can run at 8k 60 fos
Nah they don’t
it does google it
i mean even on pc it is, like you can only play very few games than actually run at that res
like doom eternal
Ok
Though I wish Sony would support Dolby atmos and vision
Do you guys think my specs can run BF2042 at 60+ fps at 1080p?
CPU: Ryzen 7 5800x
GPU: rx 5700 xt
RAM: Corsair 16 gb 3000mhz
Motherboard: asus B-550
Psu: corsair 750w
yeah but like battlefield is battlefield so mans wanted to be sure
i mean if he cant run the game 90% of the community cant as well
Give me source on it
google it a dev already said it weeks ago
1080p ain't "worse" there is plenty of games with good graphic on 1080p i don't know what u are on.
didnt mean that i meant that lower res = cpu has to do more work i meant it could be worse for the fps, in the beta for example the game was using all my cpu at 1080 and i was cpu bottlenecked and at 1440p i git higher frames bcs higher res=less cpu bottleneck and more gpu bottleneck
higher res = gpu has to do more work
a dev already said they re hammering the cpu with 128 players
lower resolution would require the cpu to do more work
here you go
@wise walrus
i have a 1650 and if bf 2042 doesnt run well then i might refund it
it wont run well
Super or non super
non
what cpu?
i have i5 10gen
10400 then
Yeah you'll need low settings with that GPU
10500h
ooh.
yee ik
yea
is it a 1650 max Q?
no
How much did you pay for that bro
Oh then that's much better
A 1650 ti is pretty solid
which has better performance in gaming than win 10
it wont be great. but it will run
if 50 up fps then me happ
on win 11 u get less cpu and ram usage while gaming
On medium I could see that
not really
ohh ok
its a very small difference
true but less cpu and ram usage
it is faster, but its not gonna be the difference between playable and not playable
its like 3 fps higher
also whats logical processor lol
hmm true
Actual cores.
The core count
Wait no
That's threads
Logical processors is thread s
That's off the top of my head
most of the time 100 or 110+ fps
apex is ez to run tho.
yea optimized too
2042 is probably gonna be the most demanding shooter of this generation
yea
kinda sad tho
no. IS going to be the most demanding shooter of this generation
Bro it's not that hard to run Granty
bro i was getting <50 fps in the beta
I have a 1060 and I played on medium to high settings 1080p at like 50 to 70 fps
i mean in bf 2042 beta it used to run at like 40 up fps
just couldnt utilise high end hardware. same as the launch of bfv
Occasionally at c objective when there were like 48 people it would drop to 40 but that was rare
yea we will have to see it on full realease
But still I was impressed with the performance
i get 70 up on bf v
which?
lmao. the performance was one of the consistent negatives i saw on reviews
2042
it was terrible.
no like gpu?
Idk for me and my PC it worked really well
1060 6gb
1060 very good
Nah bruh
like the launch of bfv i had a 1060, and loads of people on 2080's and 2080tis were complaining of stuttering
What are your specs
when i upgraded to a 2070 that whole issue was fixed
lol i was about to ask the same
What is your CPU
r5 2600
i know im cpu bottlenecked
C'mon
is ryzen or intel better
Really doesn't matter look at specs and performance and decide whatever CPU
k
Some Ryzen CPUs are better some Intel CPUs are better
true
Just depends
i think latest ryzen ones are better
again
it depends
on SO many factors. Its just media. OoH rYzEn gOoD iNtEl SuK
5 years ago it was the exact opposite
All hail Lisa su
lmao
yee
but in reality ryzen couldnt offer any good budget cpus for this generation. the 5600x is like double the price of intels budget cpus
ye
but on the other hand, the 5950x is basically peak performance in everything
But its much faster
since your on a laptop, check your temps
I hope the system requirements change for the final release lol
if they re high clean the laptop fans, and replace the thermal paste
meanwhile cysis remastered
much faster… than what? it’s barely any better than a 11400f with power limits off
Found my old laptop!
ryzen 5 3500x will be enough for bf2042?
Yea that
the 5600x is almost 100$ more, at least in the US
yes, but it also depends what GPU it’s paired with
@raw turtle
should be enough, enjoy!
My lappy defo couldn't run 2042
Not with that attitude
ddr2 💀 💀 💀
Should be fine for chrome
The store
its not hard to get
Do you know any real websites than can get me one around retail price or close to that?
What stores?
bestbuy does drops from time to time, just join stock radar servers that notify you when there is stock
Alright
damn
Is there anyone who knows how to fix the "You have lost connection to EA servers" message on Battlefield V? I just got the game today and I wanted to try and play.
Channels not for technical support but i recommend checking on the battlefield server status
as it was for ps4 pro when it was a thing
but i mean damn
ps4 pro 4k looks amazing
and i play on pc
like cold war looked good and bfv looked good it looked like I was playing on pc
that's good the resolution looked
How come when you make community game it doesn't save your title if you change it

Cool
Cool
cool
Amd has a fx cpu at 8.127 gigahertz der8auer
Nice
On power efficiency cores or power cores
That’s not true I call bull
Also that’s before reviews went live
So it looks like when the e cores are enabled it’s at 5.5 gigahertz but when it’s just the power cores which is only 8 cores it’s just barely past 8 gigahertz
Cool
That’s hot
tbh its adorable
your imagination
but costs 5 times more than a pc with a 3080 ofc
you just have to zoom in on the price tag
bad
maybe something to do with origin i had the same problem a while ago
is there any cpu except amd-intel
not for PC no
well, technically the M1 chips
unless you want to build a ARM based computer with a mobile phone chip
its nice to see competition between flagship cpus but most people want more value-oriented and balanced price/preformance products tbh so this looks cool but does´t peak my interest
lmao thats a cool project
and just because a CPU has more cores does not make it better, by that logic AMD threadripper would win by default
lmao yes
cpus should be rated by real-world preformance, value, price, core count, frquency, architecture and heat output all at ounce, not just one variable
yeah but one that beats a pc with a 3080
in what?
and btw 900usd is still more expensive than a 3080
it's not
GPU's are still hilariously expensive
and you won't do much with a 3080 on it's own
the 3080 msrp is 700
msrp doesn't exist currently
fair enouph
also
pretty much yeah but the max mini cant beat a 3080
naa but i see your point
the mac minis can game more now with the X86 compatibily i think
also just games being more crossplatform these days in general
a lot of people buy it for status, percieved being better at A/V stuff. (thruth be told they do have better integration into that world so why change), and...it's what they're used to in the US. unlike europe where we mostly used IBM PC's way back then
i have two 3 devices, they all live seperate from eachother
my phone is my phone, the TV is the only thing that plays netflix, and my computer is for everything tht needs power and gaming
its a valid use case
same but i watch movies on my computer
Anyone have any suggestions to fix a No signal display?
I've removed my RAM sticks and cleaned them. No results.
And my Temperature staying at 62C.
it's not going to be a temperature, memory, or other hardware problem, it's a GPU or driver level issue
what is the GPU?
3080TI
No results
what connection are you using?
any suggestions for CPU's on a total budget of 1200 euro?
1200 euro for a cpu? shiiit man get a 12900k and a nice ass motherboard and good kit of DDR5 and you’ll have the best gaming rig available
1200 for the entire pc
I was looking at a 5600x and 11400f or something
gaming, rendering, video editing
for the gpu, I am using my old 1060 until the prices drop further
probably just getting some vengeance ram
16gb ddr4
ryzen 5 5600x
no not the 11400f the ryzen 5600x has better real world preformance
ive done a lot a research previously believe me cause im also looking for a 1200 euro budget pc
you'll be wanting 8 cores if that's the case
6 cores won't cut it for rendering
5800x best pick
tru tru the 3700x or the 5800x are better but a bit more expensive
still if it doest fit in his budget lmao
an extra $100 isn't going to break the bank
32gb memory will be standard for this type of setup 8x4 kits + motherboard can be had for under his max budget
if he’s gonna do rendering, he could save money and get a 11400f and use a good GPU to render the videos
technology

i mean only he can tell
lmao yes tbh the 1060 isnt temporarily the worst card he could have rn
@toxic wigeon how long till the pc? 👀
Hi. I just updated bfv
And now it's not working
I tried verify the files more than once. Moved it to different partition. Run as administrator. Checked the dpi. Etc
Not working. Any help?
Wow
Games stopped working for a while for me
I restarted my pc and did stuff
Nothing worked
But when I updated to Windows 11
It started working
Yeah it is
contact EA support before doing that
My friend told me that the frames decreased about 15%
Well in apex it increased for me lol
Lol
I reinstalled win 10 with all updates and all the programs I use yesterday.
It will take a long time to redo that all over again
Is win 11 even supported by all apps?
Np
yes
bcs its basically just an ui update
does he have an amd cpu?
there were problems with that
that was fixed
No 7 10th
2070 card
He didn't update the game yet. I will see how it goes with him
indeed
Yes
they have not released anything interesting for long time so it was about time
I am going to buy one myself on my bday tmw 😔
Yes yes
same price as ryzen 5 5600x but delivering much more performance
ddr5 ram are super expensive for now
by the time im upgrading to a 12600k im hoping ddr5 prices will have settled
not for another 2 years tho...
for high quality bins? 2024

I have this bug
Is annoying
damn
problem is money here, I can do enough with a 5600x, budget is like 700 without gpu, I do need a new case and power supply too
not like anyone will be able to afford alder lake chips lmao

This is neat
If you had to choose between a 5600g or a 5700g, which would you choose, and why?
Neither
This will be for an under $1k PC.
where's the neither option
Don't need a gpu if the cpu has integrated
For gaming? Or general web browsing?
It might not be the best, but it's a foot in the door for upgrading later on
Coz would rather get a cheap i5 for web browsing
if it's trying to have any remote gaming capabilities you can pretty much toss it in the garbage
I just don’t see the point getting a 5600g for gaming if you already have a good gaming pc
yeah save the cash and buy decent components you're just burning cash pretty much
I dont.
That's why I said 1k, all in.
Hmm that’s tough
For upgrades later
What for? Bf?
yeah even then you're pretty much scamming yourself
that won't be capable of anything gaming wise until that GPU slot is filled
the 5700g is just a inferior 3700x with 8 CUs on board
5700G is Zen 3 tho
How? The cpu has integrated graphics and can play games like New World at 30fps.
And get a good GPU later
see above
Correct.
Might as well get a Xbox Series S for $300 instead of a fucking iGPU
it has Zen 3 cores
it is nowhere near a Zen 3 class desktop CPU
the cache onboard is cut massively
@vast valley are you aiming to get a RTX 3060 or above in the future?
5700G is less than double digit performance loss compared to 5800X
Closer to a 5800X than 3800XT lmao
pretty significant loss considering you're talking about the same cores
technology
I can't justify spending $500+ on a PC with integrated graphics, rather have a console lol
even at that laptops have better performance and are cheaper
Tbh I will just get a 3060 with a cheap 10th Gen i5 and call it a day. That will come closer to your budget if your local computer stores didn’t mark up their prices too rapidly @vast valley
At least consoles these days are 120Hz capable
Rather than getting a 5600g alone
just print money
it is
Eventually a 3000 series, yes.
But I'm not spending $600+ on a GPU. I refuse.
https://pcpartpicker.com/list/RXtmnL
This isn't the exact build I'm looking at, but it's similar
Hmm it seems it cost too much from are you live
Coz our asus 3060 is 759 AUD
so around 500 USD without tax
Scalpers. They still exist
Your build is just too fancy
you're going to need to downgrade that memory
Asus does not certify 4000MHz on that board
and you're going into 2:1 range with it aswell
chances are it won't even boot
Look. You can pay $1000 for the parts you have selected. Or $700 with the correct parts
Yeah I'm aware. This is just a quick list that I threw together. I don't have my actual link
cl163600 is what you're looking for
Wait up
Let me grab the link of my build from my work computer
Pick a motherboard first, before you pick RAM
Coz some ram sticks won’t even boot on 3000 series Ryzen
it's Zen 3 not Zen 2
That's the build I'm looking at
yeah that'll work fine
The exact build
Nope. You don’t understand. I’m talking about the overall compatibility
lol
Apparently the latency of the best currently available DDR5 kit is comparable to a CL20 3600MHz DDR4 kit
overall compatibility differs from Zen 2 and Zen 3 Zen 2 only supports up to 3200 for 1:1 FCLK Zen 3 supports up to 3600 for 1:1 guaranteed FCLK on the IMC
DDR5 as of now is worse than DDR4 for gaming
It will work if the manufacturer have listed it is compatible
And eventuality, yes, I'll be upgrading up to a 3000 series card. And I'll also be upgrading the CPU when that happens too.
intel or amd?
AMD
k
