Yeah i dont wannna break sth
they are designed not to break.
Cause im sure i would
components are very strong. they have a fool proof design.
It goes down by a bit which is... meh. But iam fine with it (first build with bending and that pipe has 4 bendings which is hard anyways)
I could use straight pipes and millions of fittings
But no. I want it as clean as possible
if you are unhappy i imagine you always could just get some more tubes
i cant imagine they are expensive?
You didn't cool your GPU using the pump?
The block i want is not buyable atm so i have to wait
I mean the point of custom water loop is to cool both the gpu and cpu with custom tubing
i see
I want the original evga block since my warrenty doesnt void while changing it.
what material is your cpu block and radiator made up of?
Not at all. I built a Waterloo with metal tubing . . .
Copper nickel
Looks GREAT
eh
aren't you supposed to have both made out of the same material
like copper radiator
copper block
Copper with nickel cover
Certain metals mix, others do not
It is the same
Copper-Nickel is fine
ohh in that sense
The only thing thats different is the pump which is no surprise
No Aluminum though
Nickel is anti corrosive
Nope. None
Aluminium and Copper are a bad combo
And i have anti corrosion fluid which works with these materials
Straight copper is the "best" for conduction. The rest is aesthetics, for the most part.
Which fluid are you using?
The Corsair XL5
Right on. I use DI and Utopia
It took me long enough to pick those parts
I bet!
if you've studied electrochemistry
Copper has a +ve reduction potential
Aluminium has a -ve reduction potential
Al will displace copper
and that's BAD
very bad
D5 pumps! The only way to go. 🙂
Am I the only one that has a problem with Youtube? I can't loop or randomize my playlist.
ohhh thats the membrane keyboard isnt it ?
yes it is
its a really weird adjustment
huh, so arctic does make rgb fans
This is pretty sad if true
theres apparently 2?
kind of a misleading title/article. from reading the tests are gpu heavy, the scores are extremely similar (most likely by the test being gpu heavy), and in the article it also says that the thread director isnt implemented? idk anything about this but it also says it wont be a thing till windows 11?
they dont really look nice imo
the ones i sent i would rather get lol
you know my stance on spending money for aesthetics
how much is plain?
i mean its cheap anyway
yea.. but its 2x the price
Stock i9-12900K consumes around 30-40 watts more power than i9-11900K
Despite big.LITTLE 'efficient' design
yea.. but its still cheap for a fan
i would pay an extra 5 pound for RGB arctic fans instead of spending 30 pound per RGB corsair fan
well yea, if you absolutely want rgb get arctic
but you can just skip rgb, get the same performance for cheaper, and not have a meme build
Omfg
This is a friends build
I love those fans
They arent rgb. Just white
Just 1 3 pin cable like a regular fan.
that GPU looks thick
in a future pc i might choose the lian li case, but i might get either LED fans or RGB and put them on the side and the top of the case but i might get none RGB/LED fans to put on the bottom or do you think that would looks weird in a way ?
Imagine getting flashbanged by your pc every time you turn it on
just dont look at it then
when your friend pays way more money than me and gets the same/less performance
damn u really hate lights
when a smart person decided to make his own API because dx sucks balls
That GPU is looking THICCC
Yep, a 4 slotter lol
minecraft
you dont need 32gb.
alot of minecraft
"i use chrome"
you dont need 32gb ram.
i need it
you dont need it.

i do
Unless you use it as production machine , VM machine or play High demanding high usage games (uses more than 16gb, then you need it)
RAM : 4GB vs 8GB vs 12GB vs 16GB vs 32GB
Buy computer hardware at newegg.com - https://bit.ly/2YmtsEA
All games were run on Ultra Settings, 1440p!
Games :
Forza Horizon 4
Battlefield 5 - 01:24
Assassin's Creed Odyssey - 02:28
PUBG - 03:25
Red Dead Redemption 2 - 04:23
System:
Windows 10 Pro
Intel i9 9900k 3.6Ghz
Asus ROG Strix Z390-F Gami...
NEED, no
i didnt ask how much i need
you do not NEED it, you might want it to the point that you say you need it, but you dont
you asked for a recommendation. and my recommendation is dont waste money.
just say youre going to get 32gb no matter what and go from there
brand doesnt matter
anything you prefer?
corsair is probably the most popular
whatever is cheapest
Actually no
try to get something that 3000mhz+
ok *cheapest while meeting a certain criteria
Get a dual tank 2x8gb 3200mhz pack
i run 4x8 GB 3600 cl 14
yea but you kinda go for over the top
Intel adding an overclocking utility to their Arc GPU driver software, similar to Radeon's WattMan
im gonna assume you got 4x8 just to fill the slots
How does 12GB RAM run on a Ryzen CPU
I play cities skylines and the benefits of using 32 GB of ram does speed up loading speed
From 10 mins to 3 mins
So at least 3 times faster
Other than that, nah
i play msfs2020 so i probably could benefit from 32gb. i havent checked with that game
who would have thunked it
even the most intensive game out atm doesnt benefit from 32gb ram.
ok yeah im wrong nvm
ive seen it peak to all 16,000 mb when ive been playing
like actually bouncing off 100%
it goes to like 16,002 mb i think.
i thought tarkov was bad with ram using 14GB most the time but i didnt know msfs used literally all of the ram
is msfs optimised ?
imo optimizations are largely based on reference
and what do you reference msfs2020 to?
Congratulations!!!
between recording a video and eating popcorn, i've been messing with the color settings and it's so much fun
I love the reactive set the most, where the keys light up when you press them
currently it's set to a blue fire effect, but with a red reactive layer on top of that
so it glows blue and moves, but any key i hit is red
yeah my keyboard has limitless customisation as well. being able to assign any number keys or key combinations to any key. but i just cba with any of it
it just set a colour cycle and left it at that
you can add animations too it also but i have just never figured it out
i also have to learn how to set it up to react to my games
yeah this can also do that but it kinda sucks.
bfv is pretty cool. but its the only game ive found that it works in.
all it does is flash and stuff when you go down.
change colours if you are alive or dead
BFV has the V key light up and some others to make the shape of a bigger V iirc
any reactivity to my games is cool enough
as long as it stays colorful
The game is massive what you expect
but it doesnt benefit from 32gb of vram over 16gb
i can tell you have spent a lot of time arguing over vram
You guys mean ram
-_-
well i had a typo
Sorry
soooo
its actually not that complicated
and is actually kinda dope
my keyboard is logitech
g513 carbon
no lights in mine, prefer it that way
What do you guys use to monitor your pc other than afterburner
I got to try a deathadder v2 in person the other day.
And i can confirm im never buying one
It was very comfortable. But felt super cheap and the click was amongst the worst i have ever felt
I have many Razer products, including at least 4 mice, but I have never wanted a deathadder, for the same reasons.
The click had a really long travel and was super spongey
my razer mouse felt cheap aswell
I actually like Razer, and my other mice have been great. It's the Deathadder that is lacking.
At the moment I am trying an EVGA X17. So far so good. I got it for nVidia Reflex in 2042.
the other stuff i have had from razer is fine but the mouse i had fell apart after it hit the year mark
all the rubber grips fell off in the end
i might just stick with the G502 for many years
i have only had like 3 mouse but this one is the best ive had
Ill keep using my g502 until it dies
Ive had it for a few years and its dirty but like new
No physical damage what so ever
I was all Logitech years ago. They make good products. Now though, I try different companies and see what works best for me.
I would struggle going back to a mouse with just 2 side buttons again
if my mouse was to break i would just get another G502 if its out of warranty
I use all 8 secondary buttons for bfv and ark on my mouse
but if my keyboard was to break out of warranty i might try and build my own keyboard instead
LOL, right! My main mouse for the past decade had I think 19 buttons . . . .
bruh
MMOs
But, but . . . I just spent more than twice that amount this past week alone . . 😆

i bought an 80mm to feed my gpu more fresh air from the back of my case
Mate leave him alone he has unlimited amount of kidneys he keeps selling
Not sure if I should get a gold plated start button, or platinum . . .
#lifeishard
See unlimited
unobtanium
Definitely for the next build, but the next shipment from Pandora isn't scheduled to arrive for another 4 years.
just in time for an upgrade

clean
im currently wondering if i made a bad choice not buying a 3060 ti but a non ti version
why?
as there seems to be a 1/5 improvement for like 60 dollars
3060 is a great card
i kinda regret not buying a ti
thats why
dont get me wrong it runs all my games very well but seeing the benchmarks and shit i cant help but feel a little bit of regret
yeah for just around 70 dollars the improvements are completely worth it
yeah it was just a momentary thought i probably have a better rig than %80 of people in my country
Nice!
looks rad
i like to do watercolor effect on my keyboard
it looks very nice
hey
my keyboard rgb isnt turning off after shutdown
there was an outage so i plugged the computer out
when i plugged it back rgb turned on
do i really have to turn on my pc for this
i could just remove the usb tho
probably will do that
do you guys know how to turn power off on usb 3.0 ports
i read that it still gets power after a shutdown
probably why my rgb is still on
80mm fan
smol
Will console have KB+M support?
Maybe
Dayum, Wayland is great!

@supple bane it is time

I would like to have seen how another PSU would have handled that shock.

if you pressure tested it properly then it will be fine
that will probably stop once you have all the bubbles out
i3-330
i5 10300h (yes laptop)
35 pound audio setup. basically invisible too
very happy
a cheap soundbar that is ziptied to my monitor arm. and the subwoofer on the floor that my brother gave me for free
not sure why that video is so grainy.
🔥
damn, looks sick ill stay with my gaming laptop
Its too dark thats why its grainy
hey it gets pretty loud
very loud actually
its too much bass to listen to comfortably
hi
Pre built
I can’t afford to build@my own
So expensive for anything where I live
Prebuilt cheaper
Us?
Yes
the uk is pretty cheap for parts lol
Nana no politics

So. Eu has a few pre built shops
Like mifcom, Hi-Tech, caseking, alternate

Will it ship to uk tho
Dunno
Gigabyte kept claiming that media testing was over "extended time periods," so we decided to speedrun the explosion of one of its GP-P750GM PSUs to prove a point.

THERE ARE ZERO CUTS IN THIS VIDEO BEFORE THE PSU FAILS. This is a single-take, one-shot speedrun to challe...

apparently i didnt respond to this... i bet that setup cost in the hundreds tho. this cost 35 pounds.
The speakers and woofer 35
€
The receiver 100
Its not the newest stuff, but high qual old stuff. Still sounds pristine
I could hook it up to a 5.1.2 but thats to overkill
i think i have already fucked my mouse up
its a vibe subwoofer
like i said i got it from my brother for free but i dont know how much it cost
How
If you ever need a high qual audio setup for cheap price. Search for Magnat
Those things are sick
And a yamaha receiver
the way i have it hooked up is super jank
the sub is RCA(?)
i think thats what its called
it has a left and right channel input, and i have an adapter that turns those two cables into a single 3.5mm
and then i couldnt get the dedicated sub 3.5mm output on my mobo to work so i just have this
So its not an active one ?
Weird sub lol
Normaly they have a subwoofer connection and not left right
Funny thing to see
The more you know eh
I had some harmon kardon soundsticks 3
Sticks
but I replaced it with a few sonos one boxes and a soundbar
Harman Kardon is a pretty decent sound company. Mercedes is using those boxes for the high rated models with an upcharge of like 2k€
For Home Cinema, i use Magnat and a Dolby Atmos system from Teufel

Samsung’s Exynos 2200 SoC is well on track for a late 2021 launch. As per the latest leaks from the Clien forums, an engineering sample of the chip (from June) is up to 50% faster than the Apple A14 in graphics workloads, all courtesy of the accompanying RDNA 2 GPU. The graphics processor integrated into …

i9-12900K prototype hitting 810 score for single-core on Cinebench R20, current 11900K scores 623
Around 25% increase

i call lies
It's happening
No way around it
DDR5 memory is already in mass production
PCIe 5.0 SSDs in 3-6 months
There won't be PCIe 5.0 SSDs available at launch of 12th gen
It'll be a couple months after
12th gen should be around 15% faster than Zen3 refresh
and will it be more than 8 cores?
8 fast cores + 8 efficient cores
Efficient cores lack hyperthreading
And only boost to 3.9 GHz
so 16c24t?
Ye
so it still wont beat a 5900x or 5950x in mutlithread then
wait 5900x is 24t so scratch that
but i have a hard time believing it will make up 8 threads from just a faster core
considering 1/3 of its threads are slow
but hey i might be wrong
12900K is like 30% faster than 5950X in per-core performance
When each core is 30% faster, you can match the multi-core performance of a higher core-count CPU
yeah i know that.
but i cant believe that 30% will make up more than 8 threads essentially
we will see
im more interested in the 12400 and 12600k anyway
The 8 efficient cores are roughly equal with 10th gen in performance
There's 2 different architectures in 1 package
so ive only done a single rdr 2 benchmark test, but my max temps dropped 7c by adding a small 80mm fan
would an i5 7400 and 1080 work together or is the cpu to slow for that gpu ?
i used a 4790k with a 1080 until i upgraded

ℹ️ Give us an idea of what you're looking for in #technology:
- What is your budget, currency, and country of purchase?
- Any preferred physical shops or online sites you prefer to purchase from?
- Are you gaming or streaming? What's your resolution/FPS target(s)? What games are you playing?
- If this is not for gaming, what applications you will use and the workload involved? Elaborate as much as possible.
- What else do you need to buy (i.e. monitor, keyboard, mouse, headset, speakers, operating system, etc.)?
- Anything else you want to tell us? RGB, Small Form Factor, already have a part list? Tell us!
- If you have a build list and are looking for a second opinion or are upgrading an existing system, please have a PCPartPicker permalink for it (https://pcpartpicker.com/list).
I have a list already
well post it
Just need a secound opinion as I don’t know much about computers
the i5 7400 is a shit cpu
get at least a 4c 8t
so... you're planning but not planning?
use pcpartpicker, and theres a lot on that list i would change
Ya that sentence hurts to read
What should I change?
honestly the only thing i would keep is the cpu, but changing stuff around you could even get a 5800x for the same price
Ya that’s kinda around my budget
@proud thunder https://pcpartpicker.com/list/7tRHPV
It’s saying there’s comparability problems?
cpu is a straight up upgrade. cpu cooler you really dont need more than a 240mm for a 5800x. tomahawk is more than enough for a 5800x and most users. ram is same but cheaper for some reason. ssd is slightly worse but you wont tell the difference for just gaming. i would get an evga gpu over zotac. phanteks -400a digital is a damn good case all around especially for that price. better psu
SOME b550 motherboards might need a bios update for 5600x, this should be very rare to come across
The computer is for gaming and professional art btw
well considering i improved the cpu and only barely reduced the ssd it should be better, and cheaper
most motherboards now will have the bios update factory installed
at worst you will have to flash it yourself
i do price to performance builds btw, i dont care about rgb and colors
Ya its a waste of money it seams
personally yea, i think it is a waste of money
It does look cool ig
it does look cool, but for me a pc is about performance, im not spending extra money to keep/lose performance to make it look nice
i dont paint my walls because it has no impact on the properties of the room
i also dont paint my cars as its cheaper to just leave it bare metal
whats the point in having ornaments on the walls? all it does it take up space
at least painting walls is like.. 10 bucks for a whole room
(i was mostly kidding)
hes poking fun at me because i dont care about aesthetics for anything
painting a wall doesnt make the walls stronger so theres really no point
i can get behind the no ornaments thing though
hell if there was a scenario where i could rgb/bling out my pc build for 10 bucks or paint walls in a room, id rather paint the walls
well yeah thats obvious
i would get the RGB
just to piss you off
but is it? to rgb/bling out a pc would cost at least a hundred bucks more
oh i thought you meant if you have 10 bucks what would you spend it on
and rgb is not necessarily any more expensive
my rgb fans were 30 pounds for a pack of three. and my 240mm aio i got on sale for 45 pounds
which are similar prices to their non rgb counterparts
could i have gotten better performance fans for the same price? probably. but we are talking 2 degrees here
but is performance the same?
isnt arctic p12 30 pounds for a 5 pack?
arctic p12 gang gratata
you look boring
not wrong
theory, boring people want an exciting looking pc

hence why my pc is plain, because im interesting and cool as fuck
you are not cool
correct, im cool as fuck
you carry an arctic p12 round with you all the time i swear
i should make a keychain arctic p12 fan
now that would be cool as fuck
they look cool on bags
of course the location in my state thats getting stock is 2 hours away
yea, lets not provide cards to the 5th largest city by population in usa... that makes sense

I just realised... I won't be able to access Nvidia freestyle if I buy an amd gpu
Lis the 6800m worth it over a 3060?
While dropping features such as dlss, highlights and freestyle?
isnt the 6800 way better than a 3060?
amd has their version of dlss and depending on how important highlights and freestyle (i dont even know what freestyle is) to you it depends?
also depends on the price and what youre using them for
6800M vs 3060 laptop that is @storm osprey
but yeah it still is
but it depends whether he needs freestyle i guess
Most of the other things AMD has equivalent of or there's third party
hm
tl:dr this person doesnt care they dont know what they are talking about and are wanting to continue giving bad advice
oh, more insight, the reason they are dead set on 120hz is because thats what console support
which you can do on a 144 monitor anyway
Except mine, since you can only do 60 over HDMI on this
worst part is they are a mod in the server they were giving advice to, so people are likely gonna trust them because of that
He should just get a 144 anyway
since it'll just run at 120
or be set to it
They seem kinda arrogant
Bloody hell
144hz monitors are cheaper than 120hz monitors 99% of the time
it's because the os is still running in the ram
120Hz is usually only found with ultrawide monitors and smart TVs, standard widescreen monitors most of the time are found only in 60/75/144/165Hz
Also, Microsoft and Sony could easily expand to refresh rates beyond 120Hz for modern consoles, there just isn't much reason to
I just got a 360Hz monitor . . .
Wow! Nice!!!
Meanwhile I'm running a 1080p 144Hz one and my friends are flaming me for it lol.
But of course . . . lol
I'm getting it a lot too. I'm excited to try it with reflex/dlss/etc. 🙂
8K 144Hz is actually gonna exist next year lol
I got 1080p 75hz
Does that even exist? 👀
Oh yes 🙂
It is one of the few, so far, ready for/with nVidia reflex
if i had like 144 i would have to constantly play at that fps i am sure of
I tried my friends 144hz and it was really good, but it would maybe be a bit expensive in the end considering my previous statement
I also would want to play at max settings 😛
For sure! Everyone prioritizes different things, and max settings is definitely one of them.
I never have before, but this timme around I am going for max settings and max FPS. I'd lie to see how that fairs in BF 2042 and see how well Reflex does with DLSS.
360Hz is not for playing at max settings lol
It's for playing at low resolution and minimal settings in esports
I am going for both 😉
My priorities are basically max graphics at my monitor hz. You would need a really good cpu for 360hz i am sure of
For sure. I have achieved it with my GPU 🙂
Well a fast one at least
No CPU can achieve 360Hz in modern titles
Check out the REFLEX videos, like the one with Linus
👍
I mean in certain games i can reach 300+ fps with ease but others not
You'd be lucky to even touch 200 fps in a Battlefield title
Then artificial cap hits
I think i have managed 200 fps in some scenarios in bf5 if i don't remember wrong
Looking straight up in the sky maybe
I mean like not that 😛
lol
Let me check my fps
The cool thing is that you can ddo it.
Got about 100 fps with ray tracing
I haven't heard of any performance numbers from the BF2042 playtest
Y'all remember when the BF5 alpha and beta both ran better than launch
Love that 2042 will have REFLEX and DLSS
It will have DLSS?
lul
Could have been some disabled rendering features in the alpha/beta tho
@wintry prairie @latent light
If i overclocked my cpu maybe it will get stuck to 100%
Can't really overclock to much on this mb as of vram temps
This happens if i look only on the sky
Oooouuuuu
😁
Damn, feels like I'm missing out
Not sure how Relfex will help, but I'm ready. 🙂
Now to finish building my new system . . . I've been procrastinating a bit
Unfortunate thing with DLSS is it only supports RTX gpu's so maybe they could have added the AMD one aswell, for those who have non rtx gpu's
What are your specs 👀
I would hope/guess they will add that too
DICE, FSR, plz!
Would be nice for those with lower end gpu's also 😛
New system is a 5900X/3080ti/64GB 3600RAM/nvme pci 4.0 1TB
All in a custom water loop
360Hz 1080p
only 1080p with that setup?
Got it in less than one month
He's going for fps
Ah
For Reflex, yeah. I can switch to my 2K when I'd like
You sure would need a good/fast cpu to get that gpu to 100% in many cases
oh cool
Should be fun 🙂
I'd be lying if I said I wasn't envious
I got i9 9900k and not able to reach 100% usage in some cases
I'm running a 7900K, but will turn it into a second system.
Nice
I use it for business so I can justify it. Thanks boss. 🙂
But BF games have run fairly ell with much lower specs. The important thing is to have fun, whatever your specs. And for me, who I play with. Friends are the ones that end up making a game fun, imo.
I remember BF4 beta and people complaining so much about it and launch.
Most of what I remember is having fun.
If only
Having fun is the most important thing, but personally i want to have my monitor hz at all times 😛 At least now i have 75hz for a long time
Human interaction is my piano
lul
3080Ti will get bottlenecked by even the best CPUs at 1080p
Awesome! Future proof!
But wait two generations and CPUs will catch up
Exactly! :0
AMD Zen 4 and Intel 13th gen
Is 144Hz (1080p) and 240Hz (1080p) monitor noticeable?
I plan to change 60Hz (1080p) monitor.
From 60 to 144, very. From 144 to 240, a little.
Thank you
60hz to 144hz
bro
thats so much
noticable
and u gonna get unused to it cuz too smooth
i ever change my monitor from 60 hz to 144 hz lol
its fell so smooth
and now my old monitor is in garbage
I went from 60Hz to 360Hz recently. 👀
nice 👀👀👀
Thank you for all suggestion. Well I will go for 144Hz.
Awesome! I think you will enjoy it!
Making the move from 60hz to 165hz was great for me
My cousin was offended when I told him "oh my monitor is at 60"
Glad he advised me to change it out
:)
Nice move! 🙂
BF2042 with 144FPS is not bad. I guess
Yes its noticable.
You do realise that fps doesn't natter after a certain point
Skill does XD
120 Hz is more of a laptop thing
I'm mostly worried about not having freestyle warzone and dlss on 2042
seems skill can only carry you so far these days

Well 144 and 240 isn't that much of an improvement
Beyond 144 Hz and 144 fps
Things start to depend on skill
I get flamed to death for running a 3070 @ 1080p. Jokes on them... I'll be running a 3090 at that exact rez, real soon.
I’ve only used 60hz monitors before is 144hz really that good
It's very noticeable to some, not so much for others. It depends on how your eyes perceive it.
Isn’t it better if you can get the next Gen 4000 series card?
The power draw of those seems massive
I had a 144hz as my main monitor for a while and it is cool but not really necessary, definitely notice a difference between 60hz and 144hz but at the same time, anything beyond a 60hz is really only for if you don't want tearing/artefacting when running higher fps
Coz I felt like the 3090 isn’t an ideal choice
And I really want those sweet sweet toasty 24Gb's of VRAM.
It is too power hungry, too big
I'm planning on running a Pimax HMD w/ knuckle controllers
I'd trade VRAM for better cooling tbh
In what world would you even need 24gb of VRAM unless you're running 8k everything
Pimax is running at 8k if I'm not mistaken.
It does
i have a feeling the vram chips are running too hot for the card
There's a 5k and an 8k
I know, most probably I'll waterblock it when I get it.
Nah, you can avoid those at 60 as well. But going higher is smoother and more responsive
Only reason I really held back on a custom loop is that I'm currently running a 3070
Reminder that it has vram on both sides
I want to get a 3080ti but I feel like I'd throttle my 8700k
Yeah I won't let my VRAM sit at 105C
Cause clamshell design
Didn't EVGA sell backplates for that exact reason?
The 6900xt crushes the 3090 at 1080p btw
The 6800xt beats the 3090 at 1080p even
I don't even let my gpu go above 80C cause I feel like I'd fry it.
I'd stick to a 3070 if I wanted 1080p performance, but 8k on the Pimax HMD is my goal.
That temp won't fry it
I see
I think so?
Could get some benefit from the extra vram if developers start using really high res textures
I know, but I feel like running at 85+ would just screw it over, I fried my 2070 cause it ran 88 or so constantly
What even is the intended res for 3090 anyways?
You should have RMAd that then if the cooling is actually that faulty
4k is the intended usecase I believe.
Running up to 85 is fine to nvidia
I see, i see
I had to look it up why it did but it's apparently because the one I had (MSI Armor 2070 8g) had a tendency to run hot. Didn't help that I was running 3 monitors and a VR headset
Don't the 3080/3090 perform about the same in 4k tho? Might have been 1080p if i don't remember wrong
It's still faulty if it dies with that usage
RT performance is better, I think.
Its not supposed to be able to fail at all under normal use (For some years anyway)
When I got it, the box was beat to hell, possibly second hand or returned, most likely a contributing factor.
i do think MSI Armour has a lower end cooler
The armour had horrendous cooling
They're the cheapest of the series which is probably why
Their X Trio cards have brilliant cooling.
Should still not be able to destroy itself in any case
Ah, well at least you get more than just extra vram for your money then
For anyone in OCE. Does anyone have experience with Scorptec?
yes
it is alright....
Like EVGA that had an issue with fan controller which they will replace any failure of
not good nor bad
It does its job but it's nothing special basically
i reckon you need to check ozbargain
The one where RPM's went up to 1mil or so?
Yeah
coz it isn't the right choice paying the same product with a different price tag
which one are you looking @toxic wigeon
I'll share
i usually get the card with a better cooler
ZOTAC GAMING GeForce RTX 3070 Ti Trinity OC (Boost: 1800MHz), 8GB GDDR6X (19000MHz), PCI-E 4.0, 3x DisplayPort 1.4a, 1x HDMI 2.1, IceStorm 2.0 Cooling, Spectra 2.0 RGB Lighting, Metal RGB Backplate at Scorptec.com.au, the online Gaming PC, server computer and technology experts. Fast delivery to Australia.
Well iirc it was 220K ish @light wave
I'm looking at this
Not happy with the price but as long as i can get one through after pay especially i'm fine
I have a second hand EVGA 2080 ti and so far, even though the previous owner water blocked it, the fans havent had issues, and luckily, EVGA warranty covers anyone even if they're not the one who bought it originally
Yeah it was more of a dramatisation on my part, still, it fried cards haha
i reckon it is far too expensive...
Meanwhile my 3070 has it's fans turned off if it doesn't exceed 10% usage lol
And never has it ramped up to max fan speed
depend on how you look at it
I made it so the fans are constantly running, otherwise the California heat would constantly have them turn on then off
I'm not gonna get a 3070ti for 1240 dollars anyways lmao
Cause that shit goes outta stock easily
I'm going to wait until I can get an ROG 3080 ti at msrp because 2700$ is a bit much
You'll either wait long or be lucky in store
I wish there was even a store around that would sell a 3080 ti, let alone a 30 series card.
I know damn well Best Buy wouldn't have one
@toxic wigeon It supposed to have a better cooler than other 3070TI. It is far too expensive coz there isn't much 3070ti till now. Check out cashback website. i think they are offering 0.7% cashback
They're just about to restock
so i guess that makes it 10 bucks cheaper
The nearest micro center is 100 miles away, and my car, which is probably on the verge of breaking down with the amount of mileage it has, wouldn't even get there.
Jesus
But in store?
Yeah
Damn, so they're going to have them, but I don't have the money.. ain't that a bitch
that sounds like a few trailers of GPU
The closest store to me that'll have them is still 55 miles away
squints eyes yes i see now
There's 2 or 3 Best Buys in my county, but not a single one is on that list
You know, if it weren't for the earthquakes, or polar bears, or moose, I'd totally consider moving to Alaska, my PC would never heat up there.
Alaskans with 3080s but no Internet
that doesn't make sense

Even as a Californian, earthquakes still scare me, and with the ones in anchorage averagely being 5.0s and above, no gracias
There are so many earthquakes in California and human aren't able to detect it. Power board with Surge Protector is more likely be able to save your computer and other electronic goods.
i mean it will be so unlucky to get hit directly
but i usually switch it off during power storms
we usually have power storms every 10 days
*Laughs and crys in no storms ever since 2017*
I'm confused between a 3060 and 6800M
That's very low
well 13000 is the actual number xD
like Ray tracing is something i dont give a shit about
But its the DLSS and Freeplay Filters
3070s laptops are either too expensive
or they are out of stock
No it's up to 10^10J
in air, yes
since air has massive resistance
and the current is massive too
but in wires
resisitance is exponentially low
and power = (i^2)R
well it's more likely to fry a long tree or the lightning rod instead of the house
anyways
what do you say?
about the gpus?
6800M unless you absolutely need freestyle
i need it for just one game tbh
warzone
laptop D:
cool
well the 6800M is 5% slower than a 6700XT
now you do the rest of the math
modern gaming laptops are not thar far away from a gaming desktop
I bought two of those power boards
So I can control it through my phone
They are 78 AUD MSRP each
monkaS
Because web apps will obviously run better 🙄
what are some surge protectors you guys recommend?
my pc draws 550 watts
type c socket
Powerboard
recently there is just an outage every day
im tired of it honestly
what if it goes out when im at sleep and my pc gets destroyed
I use this: https://www.amazon.de/APC-Surge-Protector-Steckdosenleiste-Überspannungsschutz/dp/B00T7BZ8W8/
Don’t know. The substation near mum’s house around 35 years ago got struck by lighting strike
hmm yeah i think i need a capable protector
I can’t remember what brand it was
240 V
turn the page into English? isn't that hard to do
it just gets me to the main page
The best one I think is the yellow one with 6 sockets
is 230V enough
idk if it is
theres not really a chance of a lightning striking
so im only worried about the daily outages
HPM
Dont you live in the us?
Hpm?
i dont
Ah
i live in turkey
any models you recommend?
I speak German and I don’t either
or the one you use
lol
I replaced all of the stuff with a surge protected powerboard
Its dutch thats why
which model do you use
Wait up
??
There is no type c socket AFAIK
most of the are type A
then
Oh
type f or c
yeah type f
Not sure if they sell it
That diagram is wrong
Yeah we use type g
No Aus on there
Type g best plug
Its so well thought out the uk plug. Everything is designed with safety in mind
You have to buy it from your local shops
and is the one i use good enough
.
What you should look at is the Joule
4500 is rare and expensive to get
I don’t have a recommendation. If there is amazon in your country, maybe you can get it for a cheaper price. But it seems you have to buy it from European countries.
Also
needing to buy surge protectors
my house isnt grounded
so
I think you have to upgrade your house first
Coz this is the first step
but it happens every day
Maybe the power grid from your areas isn’t stable
some people hijack the meter to pay less
so they use a metric ton of electricity
and the grid cant handle that
Sounds like dodgy businesses
probably
normal people do it actually they just glue the meter
i think its a crime
yet they still do it
Anyway. What you have to look, is the joule value from the surge protected powerboard
it doesnt say joules
That might not have a surge protector inside
If you really want to fix that, get an UPS on top of the powerboard
OMG PPL WHO PRE ORDERED CHECK UR EMAIL OMG OMG WTF
It cost money, yes
Not many people has an UPS at home
what happened
its a troll lol
intel is going to do gpus again
Everyone should! I currently use 4 of them. :)
Just make sure they dont explode
my setup got shown on the gamescom livestream today. kinda happy :3
I don't use any UPS and recently I accidentally unplugged my NAS

Nothing happened though and I have snapshots anyway
That is awesome! Congrats!
I could get an UPS maybe if there's any for Type K
Though power is very stable here
I have a 7-year-old monitor
Nice
I want to leave here
(my country)
Same, also don't have a UPS power goes down maybe once a year here
and don't really run anything special
if the power goes down here mid day, i wouldnt even notice it
our solar power generates more power a day as we use
Yeah power outages are very uncommon here
Our coal and gas plants have a steady supply
Plus I got solar panels on house
coal
Most of my power is generated by windturbines
Would love to have solar panels but I rent a house so it isn't worth it
in my state, every new build house has to install solar panels on the roof. Which i think is really good
We are using solar power as well
guess who got their new keyboard today
