3080 laptop is basically an rtx 3060 ti
its impossible due to thermal and power
but yeah they should add an M to it
like AMD does and that nvidia used to do
AMD is good
like 6800M
Yeah
nvidia used to do M as well
Max q and Max p
but iirc after pascal they use same die as desktop just much lower clock due to power and thermal
so they called it the same since
before that they weren't the same die at all
Now you can't know what gpu you're getting like you might get an rtx 3080 with 80w
I'm talking about normal consumer
i know
they should be more clear
but noone should expect same performance as desktop
they should just add an M
yeah absolute dick move
They do actually specify that in software and on the hardware
just not in marketing
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OF_5EKNX0Eg this dude describes me now
they do actually make them identify as it
but they don't slap it on the marketing for laptops
yeah
I guess "hey here's a desktop gpu but it's 40% slower" didnt fit in marketing
60% lol
š
but yeah its impossible to have same performance
they should return what they used to do pre pascal
I remember with 10 series the difference was like 10%
the power difference was much lower
I was saying lol
doubt
it has kept increasing each gen
more transistors and higher clock
and more hungry memory
Actually back then in 600series or 700 series it was way more than 1000 series
gtx 680 was like 200w
most 1080s were around 180-200
Yeah you're right i was wrong
I remember back then all people i know where getting a high wattage psu like 850
or 750
it went down from vega to first gen rdna
but vega was also hungry
vega 64 use more than 2080 ti
Morning
People just care about performance and they don't give a shit about power consumption
yeah well
they don't have to as much on desktop
but on laptop they do have to
since they are always limited in cooling and power
desktop is much more unrestricted in that
in comparison
I know ,I was talking about AMD gpus
same thing applies
i used vega 64 and 2080 ti in same pc for a while
before i got my vega 64 sold
my PSU is stronk though so no worries
You got like 1000w?
ye
Neat
its never had trouble with anything and its quiet
Can you run 2x3080 sli?
What the shit nvidia
only 3090 does
AMD removed crossfire support completely since rdna
Nvidia nearly removed theirs
I see
Except on professional cards that is
AMD has quad ones there
Which is wild
and dual GPU on one card for macs
they just removed it on consumer since sli/crossfire died out
so why bother
Not a plenty of people had sli back then
Only pros or people that wanted to break 3d mark record
thats nvlink
CDNA cards and nvidias professional
yeah i know
pcie 5.0 removes the need of the secondary connector
so you can do it without the connector there
which is pretty cool
on IBM cpus and soon intel
@quick locust do you play bf4?
not much, didn't game much in that period when it came out (also why i skipped BF1 and Hardline)
Only played it shortly after launch
So youāre more of bfv player?
Kind of? Well I played the old ones but held a break due to studying
During that era
So it's more I played the old, skipped middle then returned
Wanna play bf4 now?
No sorry
Ok mate you good
I don't like 75 keyboards really
but looks interesting
I always go full size
One of my PSU is 2400W
My review of the Framework Laptop. This is the best laptop you can get right now if you want a completely repairable and upgradeable device.

I'm on the list, now I just have to wait:
Damn im in a dilemma
on one hand, i can get the flagship Strix G15 6800M advantage edition with 12 GB vram
OR
Acer Predator 11800H and 3060 with 6 GB VRAM
Cost is almost the same
idk which one to go for
since there's no direct comparision available
3070 laptops are just Out Of Stock everywhere so either i can get this 6800M OR a 3060
as far as GPU, they are VERY similar
Tbh, Idc about Ray tracing
There ya go then 6800M
I'm just worried about driver support tbh
Don't worry
AMD drivers for rdna2 is decent
The 3060 is probably a 130W variant
So how does that 3060@130W compare to 6800M in modern titles where fps doesn't reach that 200 mark
Seems the choice is straightforward
So team red?
who in their right mind would use rt on a laptop

sounds terrible
If your choice is ONLY between those two choices, then yep.
yeah its around 3070 most of time
I wanted to get a 3070
But the thing has been out of stock for like 1 and a half month
And i gotta get my laptop in 20 days tops
Good luck
Yea, if 6800m is the only option, and no 3070
I'll go for that
Hopefully a 3070 variant comes in stock
6800m is really good value
yeah
too bad theres not many laptops with it
its pretty good
between 3070 and 3080 (all laptop variants obviously, all at max power config)
What laptop was that guy talking about because am lazy to scroll up
on one hand, i can get the flagship Strix G15 6800M advantage edition with 12 GB vram
OR
Acer Predator 11800H and 3060 with 6 GB VRAM
5900hx
Has mux switch?
No idea
Acer is one of the worst laptops companies ever
Wouldnāt go for it even if it was 3080
My friend had an acer
And it started throttling when watching youtube
600 bucks for that lmao

We were roommates aswell
I once literally was like
"dude can you hear that? Someone has a really loud hair dryer somewhere"
Oh geez
Yeah, about 15 years ago I stopped using fan coolers because of the loud blowing sounds.
The differences are quite big on fan coolers though
I looked up the performance differences on the m1 macbooks
And its quite massive actually
The regular m1 is fanless and the m1 pro is with a fan
So to cool itself down itll reduce itd power output and blabla but yeah there was a difference
Much different tech now, but I went with water blocks and never looked back.
Im sure it wont be an issue for people using it for what theyll be using it for though
š
Water blocks?
Ice cubes? Lmao
My laptop should arrive tomorrow aswell so im quite hyped on that
Yeah, running water through block instead of using fans
Not many. But I meant computers in general.
Yeah
There are quite silent fans though youd be surprised
My fans make 0 noise basically lmao
Mine too ;)
And there are psus without fans and stuff like that nowadays
Fanless gpus aswell
Techs getting weird
Yeah, but there are no fanless gpu worth getting for gaming unless it has a water block.
They just have clunky heatsinks
They perform aswell though
Still quite an interesting way for cooling
I can't think of any top tier gpu that's fanless, unless it has a water block
Its a prototype but yes
Its quite interesting either way
But the heatsinks are clunky
Yeah acer sucks ass
I've never seen one in my life
Lmao
More like fanless mode or something but no fans nah
@arctic crag well here you go
Fans are good nowadays and quite silent aswell
They perform aswell as watercooling aswell usually
I was thinking actual product
Watercooling is imo just the overkill option for pcs
ĀÆ\_(ć)_/ĀÆ
Not even close, tbh
You gotta sell 4 kidneys for that
Have you looked up performance tests?
Because the tests ive seen had barely any difference
They were also fancy top of the line fans aswell ofc
Well, you have a point. I jumped to the temp issue, not performance.
You can more easily get better performance with watercooling, but without oc yes performance should be on par.
I wear headphones, lol
Who doesn't mate
I thought you were saying using them is stupid
No i said 'no fans is a stupid idea' because most people wear headphones
I dont even think that general gamers would find air cooling to be an issue either interms of temps
I dont think their pcs get hot enough for them to need water cooling
Its imo just more of a overkill pick
yeah i saw someone water cooled his gpu using nzxt custom water cooler
he got like 50C max temps
I dont think gpus get that hot anyway
Atleast its hard to see it bring any issues
85 is considered safe
You gotta invest some money to get a decent cooler to keep you cpu in 60s
anything under 90 is safe
Dangerous temps are 95-105
Cpu will shut itself down if necessary
But tbf i think your gpu would have to be faulty for it to let it go thay far
Yeah
That*
I'm talking about cpus not gpus rn
Cpus will just lower the power so they will never really go into dangerous temps
Yeah
Pickles on a pizza are also mad good ngl
That's why you should invest some good money and threw intel/amd stock cooler in the trash
Tbh i dont think there are many issues with stock coolers nowadays
Intel did have quite horrid stock coolers with old gens though yeah
Not really issues just high temps
like 70-80 while gaming
Also cpu cooler speed goes brrrrrrrrrrt
Like it will fly from you pc
80 while gaming
90+ would be scary to see
Idk i cant really think of background apps that use a lot of cpu
ide gas
Mate not a background apps
Why would a pc randomly open up a program anyway
what?
Like you mean open up a program as in open up an app?
no
Then those are background processes no?
working on a program
Working on a program while gaming?
Lmao what
are you able to sell tech in this channel @woeful crater
No
As in it downloading something?
Because pcs have it enabled on so that if youre playing it cancels out installations/downloads usually
You can disable it aswell but from factory its set on that usually
Or well force stops downloads
Let's say you're working on Maxwell Render
While gaming?
no
Oh
Just
You said while gaming thats why i was confused
no
Idk anything about rendering so i cant comment on the issues it can bring
Like something like Maxwell Render use 100% of the cpu
so gaming doesn't stress cpu like a program
Idk how many people work with rendering usually on pcs but yeah that could be an issue for them
So it's expected to get 95c+'
Fair fair
So long story short throw the stock cooler in the trash
I dont think those types of cpus were meant for that anyway though
I know that intel makes like
More gaming specific cpus and then more like whatever else type cpus
Like if we were consider what its marketed for then its fine
But yeah unless it was some rendering specific cpu then its quite horrible
I just know that there are some cpus better for other types of usages
Nobody knows
dabg
Has anyone else had this issue? When I play Battlefield 1 and 5 (don't know if it happens with others) it will start to cause problems to my internet like when I'm using discord it will keep restarting.
can't find anything on it
You suck balls at googling

way to be helpful
Alr bf5 sucks it can't run well on my pc benchmarks online similar or worse specs get 100+ fps low š”š¤¬š”š¤¬š”
Boita uninstall this mf game

Ever heard of an express card sound card
Yes
I have not experienced this.
Nope
MB/cpu/gpu/RAM/etc
I know, these requirements are rediculous
Dude these numbers make 6800m so promising xD
like the 6800m can actually get 1080p60 Ultra on a game like cyberpunk 2077
LUL, you've posted this like 6 times in different channels.
Yes, its a good chip.

any kind of technology talk is allowed here?
naa man not in the technology section
my laptop made a weird bubbling noise while not being water cooled
should I be concerned?
I would be curious for sure
isn't the rtx 3060 laptop one enabled ray tracing?

Hello
I recently installed BF V and as soon as i launch it it takes me back to Origin
I tracked it in taskmanager and i noticed it takes up to 228 MB of RAM and then it just dies

I get at least one of those every round lol
My internet is super
i got low fps warning at 120 fps?
wtf

by the way
how much FPS should i be getting with an RTX 3060 under normal conditions on lets say BF 1 ?
I hope you know that zeppelin is a bot
I get it at 165fps
lmaooo
i do

Just put in ryzen 5 3600 rtx 3060 bf1

I saw something similar the other day
Those look nice š
ultra 1080p 140-200 fps in multiplayer
1440 ultra 144 fps average
4k ultra 60-144 fps average
i get around 130 tho
yeah sry that was more for the 3060 ti
mine is non ti
Iāve been meaning to go to 1600 dpi since I saw this but keep forgetting. Plus Iām gaming in the front room lately.
I used to run 800-1600DPI and low sens on everything. I've switched up to high sens, low DPI (400-600 range depending on the game)
My problem is that games seem to run out of sensitivity values when I run high dpi if Iām trying to calibrate it to what Iām used to.
yeah
Is anyone willing to help me with a technical issue? I cant get my game to launch no matter what i do. I can provide more details if needed
please ping if responding
Google.com is a good tool
looked all over, this is my last resort
Youre doomed then
Who has the knowledge from google
google cant fix everything
It can if you try hard enough
epic
Ye
man 600 is way too slow
it atleast has to be 1200 for me
i use high sens 1200 dpi
Post your specs and any pertinent info and maybe we can help.
Thank you so much for responding but i literally JUST figured it out lmaoo
I had to use stupid frosty mod manager and frosty fix and run ea desktop with mods enabled
This was soooo dumb
I dont even have any mods š
It can be a pain sometimes. Glad you figured it out, have fun!
I'm looking to get a new graphic card here is my pc specs
MSI B450 GAMING PRO CARBON AC
G.Skill Aegis 16 GB (2 x 8 GB) DDR4-3000 CL16 Memory
Amd Ryzen 5 2600
PowerColor Radeon R9 270X 2 GB Devil Video Card
Corsair TX 750 W 80+
What graphics card should I get?

wow i would like to have a pc
rtx 3070 or rx6700 xt
At 1080p the Ryzen 5 2600 will bottleneck a RTX 2060 in some cases lol
It will bottleneck a RTX 3070 at 1080p and even 1440p
yeah but those cards give em room to upgrade the cpu quite a bit before needing a gpu upgrade
the 2600 is still a fairly competent cpu
Can't hit 144 fps with it in BFV tho
doesnt matter bc who plays bfv
if hes only going for 60, which i assume he is judging on his current set up
both of those would be good options for his current cpu and his future upgraded one
From how I see it
Zen+ is most suitable for 90-120Hz range
Zen2 for 120-144Hz
Zen3 for 165Hz
if i were him id go for a new cpu as well
also you dont need a ridiculous cpu to do high refresh rates
i can play halo, splitgate, bf4 and a bunch of other games capped at 165 in 1440p
on an i5 7640x
needless to say his cpu can do 165hz with no issues lmao
you should give your budget aswell
people could just pick the most expensive gpus that are cool and all but if it doesnt go by your budget then its hard to recommend them lmao
and keep in mind that gpu prices are very high at the moment
I'm baffled by the actions of tsmc
The mofos can't supply enough 7nm chips
And they're working in 2/3/5 nm fabrications
Global Chip Shortage is yet another crisis going down in the history
There is a bottleneck with the 3060 ti at 1080p
But yeah still good because you can upgrade your cpu later
Just get any appropriately priced 3060 or above gpu, and it'll work like a charm
considering the global chip shortage, consider yourself extremely lucky if any gpu is even AVAILABLE
hi
well my brother wants to buy a pc (accessible in Argentina) well I want to put an i5 9600k and a 1050 ti, 16 ram, he only plays fortnite and he doesn't mind having everything to a minimum. Is a computer like this okay or a 1650 for 10k pesos more?
1050ti is fine. Cpu is even overkill in terms of saving
gaff tape.
Haha
yes obviously
just overkill with the ram unless you need it for something specific
I'd get 5th gen ryzen instead of 64 GB ram
I play DCS and it has some memory leak issues they haven't fixed for the past couple years lol that's why 64 go
Gb
I stream and also playing my pc uses up 31 gbs of ram
ah
@pastel sandal have you tried repairing your windows 10 system with entering the ārepair windowsā command in the terminal? That has fixed the memory leak issues on my last Intel machine.
I'll will try when I get a chance thank you
Si
im seeing a lot of rumours that rtx 4000 will be a similar jump in performance from rtx 3000 as gtx 1000 was from gtx 900
which is good news for me as im planning on a new pc when it launches
I might as well wait for a gpu then
i mean there is still over a year at least to go lol
I have a 1070 zotac Amp extreme edition
I have boot camp next year so by the time I get out it will be launched šš
based on the past releases it will be the end of 2022, but if the shortages arent better by then then we may not see it until 2023
True true
But now we can just pre order the pre built pc and then get a wait time of 30 to 90 days better then paying overpriced gpu and don't have to wait a year
š
fuck prebuilts
thats the spirit!
when you feel that you arent getting performance that you would like, then its time for an upgrade
idk if its worth upgrading when 4000 series comes out
What do you have?
Not bad what about storage and what games do you play ?
for storage i have a 240GB ssd for windows and then i have a 1TB SSD for my games and then 2TB HDD for vids and random shit
games i play rn are BF, tarkov, rust and thats about it for the time being
im mainly waiting for newer games to come out such as FC6, new BF etc
I heard the high end Nvidia GPU are always 26-30% faster than their last Gen
i still dont have any games that i cant play up to my standards with my specs so im good with what i have for a while.
An apu is like intergrated graphics isnt it
thats exactly what it is.
an apu contains a cpu and an integrated graphics chip
Thatās AMD
Artificial? No
thats the name for AMD
Accelerated
intels solution is the same though
i assume intel has a different name but it means the same thing though right?
APU is a product name for AMD processor with AMD integrated graphics inside the single package
ye
what cpu are you planning on getting then?
because not all cpus have integrated graphics, you know that right?
Havenāt heard of intel with their lineup since we called it as an intel processor anyway
I have tried one of the earliest intel integrated graphics on the MacBook 2008? 2009
The GMA graphics isnāt great
Yeah i know dont go for it. Thing is, its cheaper than buying a second hand GPU
But at least it works
It will work for me for a while
You should be getting intel at that price rangeā¦
that doesnt have an integrated graphics
wrong reply
Donāt get 3200g or 3400g, thatās all
amd doesnt have an apu that is high performance
all its apu's are budget stuff
they are good value. but nothing compared to a 5800x
The 4750G is fine but I wouldnāt use it to game other than BF1 at 1080p
Its gonna work for me until i can get my hands on a 3070ti
i mean the cpu part also.
Thats pretty much how im handling it
980Ti was 50% faster than 780Ti
1080Ti was 60% faster than 980Ti
2080Ti was 30% faster than 1080Ti
Do not get those parts from JB or HN
if you want an igpu to just see you through then go with intel.
i7 10700. it has an igpu and is also a decent cpu.
Ryzen 5600G is the best value APU if you wanna do light gaming
if you wanted an igpu from amd the best you could do is the 5600g
I decided to go for a 5800 cause it fits into my budget anyways
its a solid cpu.
Its a big upgrade from a 2012 cpu lmao
but you will need to wait for your gpu. as i said it doesnt have an igpu

Sounds like a prebuilt desktop
Demand for APUs is gonna skyrocket when RDNA2 graphics is on desktop Ryzen
Not everyone can purchase the highest tier of the high end gpu unfortunately. But generally speaking, it has at least 25% performance boost over the years.
Ohhhh and u is for laptops
well after some digging it seems to be highly regarded. its about 5% slower than the 5800x in benchmarks but is also cheaper.
so yeah, id say its a good choice for getting a pc running without a gpu.
Its better for me as a wait for the gpu anyways
Yeah!
Obviously i cant play anything big but
If i can discord and youtube, im happy.
you could do more than that.
Steam Deck only has 8 CU of RDNA2 graphics clocked extremely low for the architecture at 1600 MHz, it is able to run every single existing game at 30 fps minimum
Now picture Ryzen 6000 APU with 12CU of RDNA2 at over 2500 MHz...

I'm looking at a Deepcool matrexx mid tower case cause it has four fans
More fans good
Vwoooooom
you can just buy more fans lol.
LET ME DREAM!
if you can mantain positive airflow
increasing the number of fans wont help
just cuz a case comes with 4 fans. you could get a case that comes with 1 fan and then buy 8
Ah deep cool
That is true
I have one of their case and I bought it from PCCG
I reckon i have pretty ok airflow
best way to design you cooling
TOP 240mm radiator + 2 fans
One Rear Fan
2 Front Fan
best cooling configuration
Is there a website that allows you to build pcs and show a 3d graphic of it?
You meanā¦
all the hot air is gonna be exhausted through the rear fan
That game
pc building simulator is the closest thing to that.
i own it. it works but doesnt have every component.
i can build my pc to the T basically.
We were playing it simultaneously
i was there.
I shouldn't be too stressed. I should be fine really.
we did who could get the highest score in 3dmark lol. that was a lot of fun actually
well im looking forward to buying a Strix G15 Advantage Edition
or maybe multiple people played at once on different occasions
5900HX and 6800M
only concern i have is the driver support
Are gigabyte power supplies alright? I've heard some rumours they explode
all but one model are fine. but after what has happened i couldnt recommend a gigabyte powersupply
Fair enough
i dont plan to do anything TOO professional
although i do plan to do some game projects on Unreal Engine
some photoshop as well as some Blender related projects
Others may recommend antec
From my perspective, it is better and cheaper to get PSU from the manufacturer brands
is the 6800M good compared to 3060? Since their pricing is quite close for me
and 3070 variant which is as much as the 6800m model, has been out of stock for like 2 months
What I was referring is, the manufacturers makes PSU for their own brands.
Not all laptop variants of 3060 and 3070 are made the same⦠the wattage matters
A 3060 running with full power can be faster than a 3070 running with the power limit
the 3060 is 130W variant
strix models have their 3060 and 3070 tgp as 115+15
@opaque saddle
Depends on whether you wanna spend that much for a laptop
I mean it is always be good if you can opt for the more expensive model if you can afford it, and the laptop allows to run it without an throttling
well i need to get a laptop
since desktop is not gonna work out for me
Iām not an expert of laptop performance since the manufacturers have got all those dodgy stuff running
AMD has fastest mobile GPU iirc
like my possible options are
3060(115+15) + 11800H 1730 $ Acer Predator (In Stock)
3060(115+15) + 5800H 1630 $ ROG Strix (OOS)
3060(115+15) + 5900HX 1930 $ ROG Strix (OOS)
3070(115+15) + 5800H 2050 $ ROG Strix (OOS)
3070(105+5) + 10870H 2050 $ Acer Predator (OOS)
6800M(110-165) + 5900HX 2050 $ ROG Strix (In Stock)
Like swapping the memory to dual rank will be faster than some laptop which has single rank preinstalled
As of now... the competition is between 3060 +11800H and 6800M + 5900HX
the 6800M is better than any of the 3060 laptops
except for RT
it's closer to 3080 than 3070
Heard the ram sucks in that laptop but that's the cheapest part
yea there is a 15-20% performance loss
the stock variant ram is just 1R+16
When choosing a laptop, I look for things like cooling capacity, screen, or build quality, not the hardware specs
Much preferred to get an AMD processor with Nvidia GPU, but it isnāt a bargain
I can literally see a 25% improvement to my FPS (almost like going from 3060 to 3070) for plugging in an external monitor and using 1R+8 RAM
Don't get a laptop that runs hot and makes you lose performance
There are a lot of things to consider in 2021
Buddy, all these are Strix laptops xD
Doesn't mean its good
they literally use liquid metal on their cpus
although the amd advantage edtion comes with liquid metal on cpu and gpu as well
I've seen Strix hardware be completely junk before
Like 3060 can potentially be faster than 3070. Single ch vs dual ch memory, single rank vs dual rank
2R+8>1R+8>1R+16 right?
Will that laptop run as expected, laptop parts
I thought it is good if you can get 16 GB ram in total (preinstalled), TWO of the 8GB dual rank memory running at dual ch
yea the 6800M comes with 2 ram sticks in dual channel which are 1R+16 sadly
so slower sub timings
the 6800M is clearly held back by that
You will need to swap out that ram to get 10-20% performance of out the box
yea, that's why i said
if 16 GB doesn't seem enough or im not able to get 1080p60 in graphically demanding SPs
ill do the upgrade
to 32GB dual channel and 1R+8
15.6 inch IPS-Level
99% sRGB, 72 % NTSC
300Hz @ 1080p
165Hz @ 1440p
340 Nits peak brightness
5-7 ms GTG
But if you think you considered that machine as your main computer, think of extended warranty
yea, gonna get that one
Others will judge why would you wanna get it, coz they may not owned a laptop at all
I need to be mobile with my laptop
Coz laptops arenāt really good for gaming for a really long period of time
So the motherboard will bend overtime
and this guy can give me 9H of battery backup if i just watch youtube or read PDFs
Even with ASUS laptops, they can be bent very easily
ive never seen that personally
Switch off SMT(or HT) and turbo boost can give you another few hours
like i had an old HP notebook, no flex at all (although i had to change the hinge once but it was under warranty)
My MacBook Pro early 2019 can last for max 15 hours of use. Not the M1 model, but I have switched off HT and TB
I mean the motherboard itself may bend coz of the heat
well 9H backup from a gaming laptop with desktop 3060 like performance is amazing
i think it beats a 3060 Ti as well
not sure
it definitely beats a 3060
6800M is basically 5% slower than 6700XT
I suggested not to spend too much on a laptop
Well i dont have any choice
I mean, to sell the RAM stick
6800M and 6700XT are exact same chip
It is a pain to choose a laptop in 2021
possibly with DDR5, successor to Zen 4 and 5000 or 6000 series GPU from nvidia
unless they drop the bi annual cycle
Ryzen 6000 'Rembrandt' APU graphics not too far behind the Xbox Series S in performance, although will need a good DDR5 kit (much higher than 4800 MHz)
if AMD is really going 5 nm, intel is gonna be in trouble
I donāt think any of us can actually give you the advices to choose which laptop you should purchase
they dont measure nm equally
AMD is gonna have both 5nm and 6nm on next-gen RDNA3
so it doesnt matter
5nm for high-end and 6nm for budget
well just give me a short answer
even with the stock ram and all, the 6800m is going to be better than 3060 laptop right?
since 3060 mobile is my only nvidia alternative atm
there's NO 3070 mobile laptops left IN stock anymore
Personally Iām not really a big fan of AMD gpu drivers and their product QC.
any1 have a 3090 willing to pay any price.
Neither am i
but i gotta pull the trigger before 28th
I think you may have to get a 6800m coz it should cost less
3000 series laptops are not getting restocked before October
considering the current trend
But as I said, Iām not an expert picking a laptop
and this 6800M might also go Out Of Stock within a week or two
oh you want a gaming laptop?
Coz as I said there is a lot of things to consider so Iām unable to give you an advice which laptop you should go for
RX 6600 is gonna be marginally slower than the 6600XT, should be priced around $300-330 msrp
But for specs wise, maybe
Only difference between them is 4 less CU
yea, please read my previous messages for a rough idea
not too far away
oh alright.
All Zen 4 CPUs will have on-board graphics apparently
Well the global chip shortage is no way get better even by Q1 2022
its probably gonna be as long as Q3 2022
yikes to anyone who wants a 3000 series desktop card
Try out Lustre for free - https://bit.ly/384ns8B
I was wondering, how much cooling performance are we leaving on the table when it comes to GPU cooling. When you want the best cooling performance you normally need to water cool. However I think the biggest problem with air cooling is the air temperature surrounding your GPU. How much cooler wou...
ive looks up putting a little fan at the back of the case below the gpu, but as exhaust, now im wanting one for intake
At least Iām happy that I got a 2070S
people thought the 2000 series owners got ripped off
i think in terms of performance jump per generation it was one of the worst
True or they can wait for a really long time for an upgrade and wouldnāt be able to do so even today
It is a low mid tier GPU driving a 1440p 144hz display
not a lot of people really use those
i would use back anyway, less chance of interference
yeah makes static noise on the front
I think it lacks of power tbhā¦
May not be able to run more than 1 HDD via the multiple 3.0 slots
yeah, I got one last year june (upgraded from gtx 770), was a good decision
Not necessarily the best option that we have. But I didnāt and consider the timing, I might needed to use my 960 for a while before I can purchase a 3000 series at the end of the cycle
Slightly underpowered 2070s
A bit slower than 2070s
its slower than the 2070.
never mind the 2070 super
ok its exactly the same performance as a 2070
i mean the 3060 was the cheapest i could find
2070 super goes for like 950 dollars
i bought mine for 550 dollars
I bought mine for 783AUD or 564USD, the gigabyte 3x model
I think the 2080 at that time was selling at 750AUD
OOS unfortunately
Yeah thats now when its discontinued in a gpu shortage lol. Its msrp is like 400 bucks
500 bucks even
my country just puts crazy tax rates on everything
even when there isnt a shortage
hey thats not bad.
i can see a few kinks. but with the side panel on they wont be noticeable
well done sir
On the left ye
Bend it to late
Has to reheat it and bend it a 1cm infront. Worked out
nice
https://videocardz.com/newz/amd-zen4-ryzen-cpus-confirmed-to-offer-integrated-graphics#disqus_thread
AMD to offer integrated on-chip graphics for next-gen Ryzen series The Next-generation of AMD Ryzen CPUs is now confirmed to offer integrated GPUs. Upcoming Ryzen CPU series based on Zen4 architecture will all offer integrated GPU by design. While this does not mean that literally all CPUs will have iGPUs enabled, it does confirm that [ā¦]
Confirmed that Zen4 CPUs will have on-board graphics
For the first time ever
good that they finally get rid of vega on them
Mainstream CPUs will have graphics but possibly not all SKUs
I imagine there be variants with graphics disabled like how Intel does
yes cheaper that way
Ryzen 9 and 7 family will offer more graphics cores than the Ryzen 5 and 3 families
since more yield
(though F cpus don't tend to be much cheaper than normal except to OEMs)
Yeah like $10-20
Nice!
Ummm nope I don't speak tec byyy š

ok thanks for dropping by

š
nice

Ill be claiming that right up!
seems like a scam
Really?
idk
I think it looks pretty legit
yeah it sure looks
if you look close enough you can see they spelled the d in discord with a c and an l
100% legit
plus it just got deleted buy a mod
cliscord
dude ofc its a scam
other way granty
Discorcl ?
discorcl
I forgot how to spell discord for a second there
now steam has to release a 3 month free discord
i want seafood
i want a 3060 to fall out of the sky
its a phishing scam
yoo my dad said I can get an iphone which one should I get
an android
but if you have to have an iphone
get the 12 pro or wait for the next one
I would get that but my dad said I have to get an iphone idk why
k
probably so he can track you or smth like a weirdo
nah he said because he wants a different system in the house idek
because everyone is using android in the house
i just think that if youre dropping 1000-1300$ on a phone
it should not be on an iphone
the camera sucks compared to modern samsungs, the display is only 60hz, its not even full 1440p on the screen
its weak, it has limited customization
just not as good for the price
I see
i can vouch for all of this bc i have one lol
12 pro
deste Daddysusissos
ngl the phones look clean as hell though
they are
i will admit
theyre really nice looking
if youre ok with getting a base model the regular 12 isnt too terribly priced
it also has lots of color options
where the pros only have like 2 options lol
also @uneven tulip
yes?
make sure that the one you get has enough storage
these things dont support sd cards
is 128 good
should be enough
ok
no
what you get with the phone is all you can have so make the right decision lol
6969
terrabyte storage is too advanced for apple
it has to be years old for them to adopt it lmao
@uneven tulip youll also have to buy the plug separately if you get the 12
they stopped putting them in the boxes lol
same with the earbuds
"eco friendly"
the funny thing is that they say its eco friendly but they actually use more packaging and materials selling it separately
lol
Lol I saw a article titled
how to make a gaming pc for 1000 usd
I check out the parts on Amazon itās 1700
iNfLaTiOn
it isn't
its not inflation its just companies marking up the price because they can
All leaked info on Zen 4, Epyc Genoa and AM5 socket
Big changes to cache and IO
Gigabyte again
Doubled L2 cache
Finally they put focus on something that isn't L3
Big changes to I/O
Uh, guess there's a bug with hwinfo or some driver
Keeps showing my cpu as using 100-110W all the time, even when idle
and VRM info just says 21W out
Brainless idiots everywhere donāt mind them
Classic
True story.
If you don't like the color of your case fans, can you pain them?
LOL, YES, and perfect timing as I am getting some of my fans ready to paint.
Painting fans. Seem like a recipe for disaster :D
Can i use an external hard disk as a game drive on PC?
i've never done that
its USB 3 obviously
my laptop is gonna have a 1 TB NVMe SSD and a M.2 slot so upgrades are gonna be expensive, although i do have a 500 GB EHDD which i use for my console
(But plan on using it for my PC)
Crucial m2 ssd.. 1tb for 70-90⬠
And no. I would not recommend using an external hdd with usb3 to run games. It may be possible, but slow
Has anyone used any external NVME drive enclosure, and would you recommend it?
I use this one, and I like it , quite a bit.
ASUS ROG Strix Arion Lite External Portable M.2
Thank you @wintry prairie! It's nice when someone can recommend something they have actually used.
guys is it good to reach 80 celcius GPU temp at 70% fan speed?
I'm surprised how recent that article was
taken granted that there's not even 20series GPUs listed in the chart
Hmmm, I just noticed that, good catch. Newer GPU are easier to cool, and now we need to look more at VRAM temps, but this article should have 20/30 series listed.
thanks mate
i just wonder what is optimal fan curve settings
Anytime, good luck and have fun!
Whatever your preference of noise/thermal balance is
Good luck! I don't use fans on my GPUs anymore, so I wouldn't know.
Let me guess 120gb for 150$
Unexpected, unseen before; an ultra-thin, lightweight one with high performance. Delta 15, AMD Advantage⢠Edition is equipped with the latest AMD Ryzen⢠9 5900HX Mobile Processors and AMD Radeon⢠RX 6700M Mobile Graphics, with 1.9kg, 19mm, amazingly thin and lightweight. 6700M and ryzen 5900HX
Not many rdna2 laptops yet
Its just the enclosure, you put the drive you want.
Nice job!
is that second tube diagonal ?
Nice!
Iād just buy a prebuily PC
I prefer to build.
