ye lol im mining for no reason
i dont pay electric tho
free chicken sandwich every once in a while
At this stage, wouldn't selling the hardware at this point make more money than the mining would?
nope, only draws 88w max
If it dropped that much I would honestly just cancel it
yes but i dont want to
any news on the specs for new BF ?
@molten coral was 1 day shipping so i already have mine
3080ti at 800 is dummy worth
3080 ti is atm 100 more then a 3080
at 1200 its a scam
60gb is a placeholder size at least on the xbox store
it says the same for other upcoming games like far cry 6
where windows 11
How does everybody like Windows 11?
Very minimalistic
wait what?
Its fine
I'm honestly very content with Windows 10 still
win10 support going off in october of 2025
Wish I could share the image but no image perm, RIP
I'll upgrade to it the moment it releases
^
oop
But does it work well?
I just BEG its not more "locked down" like mac is.
This is like Windows 10X
My biggest fear is they drop control panel fully now
sameee
They'll make sure it's not worse than current OS as they're really trying to drive gaming through PC as well (along side Xbox)
Like with windows 10 you can basically have full and unrestricted control over every detail with with hardware
i hope its not like
enter password 3 times + parental control
gets access to the basic control panel
If they remove those advanced functions I will be angy
I'm very happy with Windows 10, StartIsBack+ and DisplayFusion.
Perfect OS for me.
didnt they say 10 is the last version?
yeah ive seen microsoft push win10 with gaming as much as they could but i think they probs took the opportunity to make it better for win11
which will just keep getting updates
Yeah, not so much anymore
yea a few years ago lol
This is what they said yes
They did and now they're doing an uno reverse card on that statement
smh my head microsofty
oh so its official?
Yeah
It’s official
just leaks tho
Tablet UI
yeah
Good thing you can change that, thank goodness
I quite like my current gig. If anybody asks, I had centred task bar before it was cool
i hope it doesnt take like 10s to open task bar
is that windows 7 task bar?
graphic design is my passion
Someone at Microsoft: bUt aT lEaSt It LoOkS gOoD
Also, the iso for the Windows 11 been leaked
is that a mousepad? a poster? a box?
So, anyone can give it a try on VM
It's a juicy little program that gives you old start menus back on Windows 8 and 10 ▶️ https://startisback.com/
StartIsBack returns Windows 10 and Windows 8 a real fully featured start menu and start button, behaving exactly like the ones in Windows 7. It's totally awesome and easy solution for your new Windows woes.
it surely does... but at this point even being an aesthetically living person on this planet, i would rather have it open a bit faster lol
pre alpha hair phyx sheeeesh
Its a program called taskbarX
Wait, Windows 11 launch on next week?
jeez these leaks and news are so new
there are only 3 images on google img
others are all "win11 concepts"
And the iso been leaked
They have their own event on next week
o
Probably gonna say “Release today” or something
Problem is they literally said windows 10 is the last windows
But I bet windows 11 will be free for all windows 10 users for a certain time.
hmmmm
Inb4 it’s free forever
I don't think it will come next week
They said its still in early development
u can just yeet along years for 10 yers
and most itll do is restrict background change
Wallpaper engine
Oh no
Hah
Well, least I’ll get the pro version for free, so yay
I kinda like the startup sound of it
i like how microsoft never fixed the lil 5s easy to remove the restrictions to the key-less windows version (gotten from their own store)
Hah
Its funny, yanno how changing too many pc components means you will have to buy a new key
Well, it was the opposite for me
I didn't have a verified windows account, I got a new gpu and then suddenly I did

Windows 10 key was stored in the GPU's VRAM
Someone was able to run Doom from 3090's VRAM using it as actual secondary memory loll and it ran super fast
I was wondeirng if it's possible to run Windows off of a graphics card's VRAM
is VRAM volatile?
are you selling this? how much
ill give you 1k
@floral tinsel or just solder a large pool of GDDR6 memory to the motherboard rather than use the memory that's dedicated to the graphics card
Like PS5 and Xbox Series
I still have my Geforce 7200 GS
i will keep it forever
I bought it to play GTA San Andreas, cutting edge graphics
true!!!
Why don't they do that?
They are in China
Look at the AMD 4700S
It's an APU that was designed for Xbox Series but didn't meet the specs so they laser off the iGPU and just sell it as an OEM PC
Anyway, the APU has 16GB GDDR6 RAM built onto motherboard
I had a GTX 770 4GB and now use RX 580 8GB
I now use a 2080 Ti
That's like a 3x rasterization jump
My first significant upgrade was a GT 730
Was able to play BF3 at 60fps
it felt like a totally different game
i5-3840, 4GB ram, GT 730 gpu
can never forget that build
or was it a 3840? I'm not quite sure. Turns out I can forget it
I have a rtx 2060
Hey do current BF's block players if they're using a vpn? Anyone know?
I can only connect to BF4 servers if my VPN is on, but most servers kick me for using it...
then you cant connect
i get the boot with my vpn
How to fix error code 1 in bf4
Thing is
FSR is available to thousands of different hardware, including consoles and smartphones
It's easy to implement too
But it definitely needs ironed out since its quality is comparable to DLSS 1.0
I'm sure all triple AAA studios will at least try implementation to give performance boosts to that wide userbase
@supple bane you have the Fifine K669 right?
So guys, here in my country the hardwares are too much expansive, and its really worse with theses pandemics prices… I have a gtx 1660 and the ryzen 5 2600. Im not sure if I’ll upgrade my setup so shortly…
Im afraid about games like bf 2042 or something like that… I mean, my pc will be “compatible” with the next gen games?
tuf is mid bin so not great
evga youd have better luck imo
take what you can find tho, most cards overclock fine
Rtx 2080 super with ryzen 5800x and 32 gb of ram. That should do 4k on 2042 yeah?
3080, 10700k, 16gb of ram, can I run 2042 at 1080p 60fps on low?
not even close
Do I need a better psu?
unfortunately you'll get more than 60fps
yeah get at least 1k watts
looks like you should downgrade to get 60
60 just feels right.
Trying Bf5 in 4K with a 3070 but having issues with stuttering on ultra settings. Is it too much to push 4K in BF5
FPS drops to 25-30. Render latency 80-200
how much vram is it taking up?
I need to check that
I can FPS cap right? No vsync
Ye
There’ll probably be max fps option
Or as always there’s the console command that works through all battlefields
Hopefully I can make my game run polygon mode like bfv
Possible through setting lod bias 🙂
Is Bf 2042 going to have the same requirements like Bf 5?
nah
Maybe not exactly the same
new game with updated stuff
The side im watching on said that it's the same xD
Yk the side canyourunit
Idk if my pc can make the game I guess it's a little bit too bad
Well, as long as your PC can run BFV, it should be able to run BF2042
I am not a PC players but this is the worst time to be one. The price of everything skyrocket. Unless you are rich, you cannot build a great PC without selling your soul.
A friend of mine in Manilla, bought a XSX instead. Too much money involved to get a PC
Good thing I bought my GPU at its earliest MSRP
A humble 3080 was easy AUD1k back in the day.
The basic models are what AUD2.5k up to AUD3k
( trying to find the currency bot converter )
At the moment pc isnt cheap BC the Reccourses are empty
But that is hitting the other consoles in future too
Not rly BC ppl are using it for mining. Theyre doing it since years and no one cared
well, console uses its own dedicated graphic card. Sure, not enough resources coz COVID, delays, no enough stock and etc, but you won't have a XSX costing you AUD2k (AUD749 currently) because of that.
While PC, the way things are going, a basic 3080 will cost me AUD2.5k today, and AUD3k tomorrow.
Rn is a terrible time to be buying a PC
Used cards are basically the only ones you'd have a chance to get for anywhere near an affordable cost
That said if you're in AUS then prebuilts from PLE or PCCASEGEAR are very good and you know what you're getting
I used to be PC player and against console
But man, PC is so fragile when it comes to price. If anything happens there goes memory, SSD, 3D, you name it.
I got a XSX instead of building a PC for that reason.
Consoles have similar issues with parts, they just downgrade production numbers if they can't get the parts cheap enough
Bruh, used cards after mining might die in weeks or years if you are lucky enough
Mining cards are normally pretty good actually
I'm talking about GPU resource which is never infinite
Miners run them 24/7 yes, but they run them underclocked so as to save power and extend life
What?
When you buy already used parts for pc (not all) and good pc costs you like 1.2k euro. That's like 2 PS or Xbox Gens. When you want an esay to handle console with less Hacker and you don't want to play over years, then Xbox or PS is better. But when you want to play long time then Pc is better. You can have more games, games are cheaper, you don't need to pay for online playing,... But the prices are insane atm. Not only BC Corona. The Reccourses are empty for an special part. Hope they can fix the problem but it was obvious, that the Reccourses are dying some time
If you know what you are buying then yeah it may save your money
But random one with price of brand new one without overpricing is not a good deal
Yes
For PC you need experience
Luckily, I have a good friend and I got an pc that can run Bf1 for 100€ xD
I’m curious to see how much I will get in terms of FPS with an 8700k 2070super and 32gb ram + streaming, should get around 100fps at medium without RTX
Hence why reputable prebuilts are the go to currently if you're not a PC whiz
Never buy already build PCs. Alone the fact that all the parts are already build in costs 100€
Get a friend or something that can build it for you
Dude, I know the drill
How much you pay overhead for good prebuilt? 'Cause in Russia (country where I live) it's like robbing. Almost always it's 2 times price of its parts
Hence why I add "reputable"
There's a couple of Aussie places I mentioned before that sell prebuilts at part cost plus ~$100 on top for the building of it
That's actually real real good
Yeah
Use ebay for good prices of used parts. But be careful
Most big companies that make them suck though
I wouldn't buy parts like memory off eBay though
Some party I never would buy already used
CPUs are fine and maybe GPUs at a pinch
But on eBay there are rly good prices some times
But I already said you need to be careful
My personal fight between console vs PC stopped where what I can run on XSX at 4K HDR on my my TV, will require a great investment to run the same with a computer. Not just overall performance but it takes me what 10-20 seconds from a cold start to be ready playing.
The other day I tried running GTA5 from my external NVMe (USB3.0) from a cold start and damn.
Console is not perfect, you cannot upgrade but you make the most from the money you invested on it.
Again, I am not here to start the PC vs Console fight please, just sharing my opinion from a customer perspective.
eBay is a poison chalice, it looks great but often it's too good to be true
What fight? XD. I just got some arguments for both sides. Every console has good and bad things on it
I've bought multiple crappy parts off it in the past
Where do u live?
Wise words
Australia
hahahah just saying. Nowadays is so easy to start a fight for no reason.
I guess eBay is in some country's a little bit difficult. Here in Germany it's all okay. Obvious fake offers are too good to be true so never buy from it. But here is all right with eBay. It's rly good for PC party but yes idk how it is in other country's
Same. I have moved to Amazon tho. Next Day or even The same day with Prime. It is sooooooo damn good
said noises
Amazon seems a bit better, gumtree is normally what I go with so I can pick up personally
But watch out on Amazon are much fake products (but idk about pc components)
Amazon is fairly new to Aus
I have a side and that filters fake Amazon reviews. Many ppl on Telegram groups or something get they're money back and can keep the product, when they give 5 stars
Let me search the site gimme a moment
The fact that Amazon allowed me to cancel some purchases that I made stup1d mistakes was awesome. Anywhere else it would have been a nightmare to return.
I am not saying that cannot happen but Amazon AU seems to be somewhat more serious than Amazon US when it comes to fake products, sellers with wrong intentions, etc.
Yes but watch out on Amazon too. There are many fake products on Amazon that are horrible. Most of them you can't return. (mostly from Asian or some country's you never heared off)
I buy from Amazon like crazy and that was my impression
Ah k
yeah
If an product doesn't have a review, don't buy it
And use the side https://reviewmeta.com/
I usually give preference to local sellers almost always
It helped me alot
👌
The sad thing is, I can't use Amazon prime
Why?
Would be illegal to say it here I don't want to get banned
What if anyone would never buy products without reviews?
That's how it works. It's too risky
I have a crazy approach lol
And firms that are publishing good products on Amazon are buying it to make good reviews
So good products start with good reviews and bad too
Bit if they have no one it's an risky deal
Got your point
You can't do it but in my experience it's not that good
Just trust in reviews from other ppl with this filter side xD
Usually, I search YouTube and tech forums ( I am from the IT field) before buying any tech device. Then unless the seller account looks weird on Amazon, I don't buy.
On eBay, only from high score sellers.
Smart ^^
haha I always do that and it pays off.
On cheap products with many reviews I'm using the side I already sendet. It helped me by choosing my earphones xD
Few cheap things I go with the reviews, no bothering much
But only the reviews with text and that doesn't sound like copy paste stuff
YES HAHA 🤣
so again, we get back to Youtube, tech info checks
Yt is good
Never use stuff like TikTok or something like that for it
There is so much fake tras öhm I'm meaning stuff
Remembers me when I tried to get my Xperia device that is not available for sale in Russia
Tons of reviews and shitty markets were reviewed before I made a decision where to buy
That reminds me a guy from Canada who bought an XSX from Russia or some crazy story like that coz it was the only place the dude found stock without selling his soul.
My mate is a rather rick individual, he has 2 3090s and has them in SLI, does anyone know if 2042 is going to have SLI support?
I wouldn't assume so, bfv didn't from memory
Besides SLI is almost completely dead nowadays
DX12 may figure this but it will be around 30% performance boost
as someone who's run minimum dual cards since voodoo 2 - the benefits of SLI are no longer applicable in this day n age - performance is minimal and newer games dont support it out of the box
Only good thing about sli is filling your case with two sexy cards honestly
Yes I do
Heh, I had the 3DFX Voodoos myself.
indeed - first dual card was the voodoo2 orchids - loved them - 12mb of ram each - w00 !

i have an Xbox 360 E, people say its forgotten, i wonder how much it would be nowadays
r/makemesuffer
ok
yeah its a big project :)
i bet like 90% of the video were sponsers or talking about something other than the project itself
nah
because they're a channel sponsor?
currently most videos are 2 or 3 merch mentions, a openign sponsor spot, and the 1 minute long one at the end
the merch mentions are just a meme at this point i think
and i dont mind them, he doesnt stop the video for them he just slips them in and some times its pretty funny
hey whats the desert role?
!!regular
ℹ️ The Regular role is granted to active, positive, courteous, and resourceful guests of the server. This role is earned, not given, and is conferred at the discretion of the server staff. With this role guests can post/embed images, execute a selection of bot commands, and change what color their name appears as in chat.
i mean linus was good, he just yknow
the ad was pretty awful
i imagine he earns bank from the 1 minute sponsor spot on a channel with that many subs
probably the most ive laughed at a ltt video
bruhhe watercooled a chair like why
his views seem to be dropping off.
yea
i think its because he has moved away from actually getting hands of with tech and doing cool stuff
yeah
now its just product show cases that no one cares about.
i loved him reviewing bad products
like the bad ones are funny
nowadays hes been making pcs to like
"look" cool
one of his vids said something like this "running windows on my ps4" and its so clickbaity
like he just replaces the ps4 with an pc
ive started watching jayztwocents more than ltt now because its crappier and i like it
his videos have a lower production value
and it makes them feel less "corporate"
and he still actually plays around and does stupid stuff with hardware, and i like that
same
Gamers Nexus is a funny channel
he reviews products and bad walmart ones
he also puts in those little whats its called
time period things
chapters
ltt produces probably some of the highest production value content on youtube, they most likely have the best camera setup (they shoot in 12k) they have really well built sets and impressive camera operators, but it all makes it feel like a documentary and not a yt video
the first seconds of his videos is him talking about ltt store
Is Linus joke to you?
Linus is good but i don't base my purchases off that channel
instead if I was actually interested in a product, I would watch a Gamers Nexus review
Anyone hear do any programming for fun? Looking for some potential info
Is the 2060 worth it?
It’s a hilarious card. But I don’t think any 20 séries is worth it unless it’s a big upgrade for you and insanely cheap
At what price?
Id honestly sit and save for a 3080 because it’s the best possible performance for your buck at MSRP. It’s like 700 dollars for a card that tops even the 1500 dollar 2080ti card line
Ahhh
It will take a whole like 9 months for the stock to stabailize
2060 is like 1000 euro here now
But the 3080 is absolutely the best card
Rtx 3060 ti is
Im just looking for something that's powerful but isn't excessive.
Ehhh is it though?
The best value
What’s the MSRP
400$
Because a 3060ti is either even or slightly above a 3070 in some games
On everything? I’ve seen borderlands, Valhalla benchmarks that places 3060ti ahead
By 5 frames
Im wondering if it’s specific differences
3060Ti Aorus Master matches the Founders Edition 3070
Maybe it’s a founder edition 3070
Okay so it’s basically even like I said or it’s teetering on certain games
MSRP is Manufacturer's Suggested Retail Price or something
ie, what the manufacturer thinks the item should cost
Rtx 3070=1100$ here msrp my ass
LOL
Yeah that’s like almost the MSRP for a 3080ti
Right now if I’m going to get a new card
Im going to be waiting
the manufacturer thinks the card should cost like 600-700 dollars. resellers think "nah man, fuck you. it's worth 1200"
I have a 1080ti and it’s a great card and I really only feel like switching it out for a 3080 or a 3080ti
Especially since like I don’t want to take a dip in VRAM
Yes
1080 ti pretty nice
It’s the EVGA FTW3 so I def like it
I skipped 20 series
Unless you need a gpu for your work
Manufacturers actually had to raise the prices of the 3070's a little while after launch
I got 2070 super, but I upgraded from 770, skipping 3000 series deffo
Which made things worse
And my comp is getting around 5 years old now so I’m just wondering what I should do. Either get one end of this year or next year
Manufacturers can go suck d
Imo wait it out as long as possible at this point
my video card is 8 years old at this point. and i still don't have money spare for an upgrade
What resolution you use?
gotta pay rent as well
I don’t plan on ever buying anything past MSRP ofc
1440p
The important part bring had to; the memory market was so expensive that they had to raise to so as to not lose money
1440p to me is the new 1080p
You kinda have point
There was a month or two of warning so I bought a 3070 nearish to RRP
Gtx 1080 ti is like rtx 3060 ti
Are they really that close in performance?
Ultrawide 1440p is my new 1080p
the 1080 is apparently way to much of a beast
like how the titan X stayed relevant for waaaaay to long
I heard some leaks about Nvidia new chipset they say their nex gen will be 2x the performance of the current gen
The leaks always say that
^
Yeah
Thats what they said about the 20 series
which android phone 300-400€ range?
Look how that turned out lmao
I've still got my 1080, it's dead though

1080 dead?
So one may as well stick to the 10 series?
10 séries is great
If not going for the 30
Oh you mean the card it’s self isn’t working anymore?
Imo yea, keep waiting until price normalizes
Cause im not gonna go for a super powerful computer I just want something that is powerful
I bought a 1080 FTW, which was the model that had an infamous issue of the capacitors exploding
Oh god
Personally I just don’t think the 2060 is all that special. What 10 series do you have
Didn't happen to me until the warranty expired
Haha I have the 1080ti FTW3
Wait me?
I dont have any
Ftw3 is the fixed version
Im literally looking at computers to buy lmao
im happy with my gigabyte 5700XT
Ahhh okay
Oh are you the guy that wanted to upgrade to rtx 2060?
Get a PC with a 6800XT
Honestly I still think 10 series is good. I just simply wouldn’t buy a 20 series, id either but 10 or 30. But 30 only for MSRP
But if you wanna know the specs of my pc... I cant remember the graphics card but its got an amd phenom 2. Its that old lmao
eh?
Holy moly
Thats old
I just want to play new vegas and sims 4 without much of an issue lmao
Tbh I've still got a PC with a phenom and a 970 in it on my bedroom floor
So in your guys's opinion. 1080ti or 2060. Which one should I really aim for.
the sims 4 runs pretty easily. try to run the sims 3 with everything installed
1080ti is better
My 2012 laptop is still working lol
game doesn't even have 64bit mode
Hmm?
Cause the 1080ti sounds good because it sounds powerful but not too excessive.
I would say neither
1080ti is a true gamer card
unless you own amac. they fucking patched it to 64 bit for mac os and will be porting it to the M1 macbooks
that is such a broad statement and isnt really true.
I still think a 1080ti is better than a 2060
Wait for the prices to go down and get rtx 3060 ti and higher
1080ti is the best card NVIDIA have made in a long time for power over time
You think the 20 series was a good leap from the 10 series in comparison to the 30 series?
Ahhh. The most powerful game I want to play is planet coaster and that should be well enough right?
That’s true but we’re talking about 5 years old gpu
its not necessarily a good upgrade, but it offers raytracing, dlss, rtx voice, and more performance for cheaper.
The most powerful proc i plan to get is a ryzen 5600
so for a new pc 20 series is better im afraid
5600x is a beast
not the best time to upgrade gpu or build a pc tbh
That’s what am talking about
Im just gonna buy a pre built for harveys. I tried looking into making one but the thing looks so delicate to do I dont want to mess it up
building a pc isn't that hard as it might seem
oh believe me, pc parts arent delicate lol
^
Please for the love of God don't do that
ive stabbed a motherboard with a screwdriver SO many times trying to install cpu coolers
Eh not all of those cards were cheaper though. Premium 20 series cards have really nothing on even the normal 30 line
Awww
If you need to buy a pre-built get one from PCCASEGEAR or ple
Whats so bad about Harvey's?
lmao i dont see your point, obviously 10 series is slower than 20 series, and 20 series is slower than 30 series
you cant say 10 series is better than 20 series because its just a lie
because its.. not

Why can’t you just wait some time and build a good pc
Harvey Norman only stocks the big brand prebuilts which are filled with nasty parts, bad designs and are filled with planned obsolescence
dayum aussieland is expensive
Im just concerned about fucking up, cause if I do its lots of money lost
I mean our money ain't worth much
It’s about the performance jump
If I had a 970 or something, a jump to something like a 2080ti would be fantastic. Probably worth it too
I get ya, tis why I reccomend buying a prebuiod from a computer parts shop as they know what they're doing and are open about how much they charge for stuff
jumping from 770 to 2070 super was good stuff 👌
20 series isnt always a good upgrade i agree. but its still faster, cheaper, and offers more stuff
Yeah thats fair manic
But just jumping from a 1080ti tô a 2080ti which was 1000 wasnt worth
And you don't get proprietary parts
1080ti is still a good card
Whats the 1660 like?
Yeah see like depending on where you start and where you land matters
1660 is a good value budget card normally
My point was if I’m going to upgrade from a 1080ti, I personally would rather skip the 20 series and go for a 30 series
I have a friend that always upgrade to xx80 series when release. He had a 1080 and upgraded to 2080 ti but then he wasn’t able to upgrade to 3080 lol he’s upset
Also manic holy shit that store is cheaper than harveys
Im going to go for the 3080ti this time around
I already skipped the 20 series so I’m ready for the 30 line
Ofc by the time the price stabilizes the 40 series will be there
Most likely yea
Either way there’s only so much that game developers do based also on the limitations of consoles
And since consoles have massively improved since last gen
They optimise their games pretty well
Developers have more options
The only reason why upgrading around now is good because we are entering the next generation of game development
Pretty much yea
Which is why upgrading is just good idea. Hell the 30 series will get you through for years to come
The 1080 has lasted you this long too soo
It’s just not able to keep up as much but it’s still going well ofc
It’s a nice card but by 2022-2023 it will just be too slow I think
It may not be keeping up but its still kicking
Yeah it still plays the stuff I play well
by 2022-2023 we should have rtx 4000 🤔
How does amds cards stack up? I know they're more budgety but still
Once again have Nvidia caught us by suprise, this time with their RTX 4090 and 4090ti.
Hot specs include:
18.000 Cuda cores
232 RT cores
2.169 MHz boost clock
48Gb GDDR7 VRAM
1 kilowatt
For more information and pictures please visit my facebook page:

Please do not reupload this video, if you want to ...
AMD cards are getting better but I still think they’re Eh
But AMD processors?
Based
april 1 lmao
Amd cards have come a long ass way
Intel is absolutely asleep for some reason because they never seen to do anything interesting
if all you are going to do is play games at 1080p and just want as many frames as possible and thats it, rx 6000 out performs rtx 3000 by quite a bit
how ever with nvidia you get better raytracing, better apps, dlss and nvenc
Ajhhh
so it depends what you want
4090ti leak
The resolution on my monitor is 1920x1080
yeah i feel like people who play in 1080p shouldnt really complain about graphics card since a toaster can run at least 100 frames in games these days
nvidia has more bells and whistle stuff
Soooo i dont think thatll do me well
rx 6000 does outperform rtx 3000 on 1080p
absolute beast of a card
weirdly rtx 3000 performs quite poorly on 1080p
the lower resolution the worse they perform
when i say poorly, i mean its slower than amd cards
1440p 27 inch is where it's at fellas, crisp asf visuals and a big enough screen
If you’re gaming like 1440p 144hz —> 4Kish range I’d start using nvidia. But then use a AMD processor
^Thats my setup rn
I've got a massive ass msi monitor for the series x and its beautiful
Based
I think mines 27inch as well?
I got a 34”
Hello, Can I run BF 2042 on 1050TI , Core i5 8300H, 8 ram ?
24-27 inch monitors are sweet spot monitors
plus with nvidia you get all these features like nvidia broadcast and geforce now
!!specs
Currently there are no official PC specifications released by DICE for Battlefield 2042.

BF specs need to release before beta most likely
I got 2x 27” and a 34”
There’s no way they let anyone play a beta before having PC specs
The 34” ultrawide line up with the 27” perfectly
Man i wish i had a freaken 3080 pandemic really made demand rise like a mother f*****
i have a 2080 super but those 3080 fps on 1440p games is just midn numbing
hopefully 2042 supports DLSS as well
2042 Will be powered by “Intel” when we see the advertisements. Just wait
I hear theres only 2 companies in the world able to manufacture silicon chips, like how crazy is that?
Their funds booming
well intel sponsors a lot of things
wrong
but it's not that many
since it's very expensive
oh yeah you right
I need help in recommending gaming laptops.
Which brand is most reliable.
MSI
Asus
Acer
i think im confusing that with soemthing else
gaming laptops, the best is the Dell alienware
It's the most Aesthetically pleasing and has great performance
intel, samsung, tsmc, global foundries, hynix, micron, and a few others
all have fabs
Does intel sell to nvidia?
no
intel pretty much only uses theirs for their own cpus
but they are going to change that a bit
nvidia uses samsung rn for Ampere
and Turing was tsmc
you think things will get better in time for the 40 series launch?
AMD uses tsmc
MSI or Asus?
yeah dont focus too much on brands, brands do certain things better than others
Alright like don't worry since all brands can be assured reliable already?
I need something that has 11-13 in monitor I like compact but then they offer old gen GPUs in it.
Alright I go for the brand Razer since it has support and would you guys recommend it to.
what?
I was looking for 11-13 in laptops but then they might be outdated soon because they use older graphics card.
11-13 what?
Inch
for gaming or ultrabooks?
Gaming
dont you wanna go for bigger?
there are a ton of budget gaming laptops
for example the acer nitro 5 is like 15 inch and the base model costs like 600 usd
11 is too small
Alright I found a Laptop
Razer Blade 13
its expensive as fuck
there are better options for cheaper
Maybe a few generations old is cheaper
Well whats the average budget?
there is no "average budget" it just depends on what kind of specs you want
but the razer blade 13 is too expensive for the specs
personnaly, I think the acer nitro 5 is best for budget
So what is the Samsung of Gaming Laptops?
their peripherals I think are pretty good
Samsung is also to expensive
keyboards yes, mouses.. i dunno. Headsets, never touch em
Your right lol I think the specs are better for budget even more RAM.
Mouse just need to be a white and wired no rgb gimmick.
(my peripherals):
blackwidow v3: great mechanical keyboard for the price, rgb looks great, doesnt feel cheap at all
basilisk v2: good grip imo, price is ok and I just like how it looks and feels
firefly v2: idk how the price conpares to other mousepads but it looks great and is a pretty good mousepad: doesnt create input lag and feels smooth
yes my peripherals are full razer because the shop is pretty close
just got an Corsair K100 rgb / Logitech g903 / Thermaltake mousepad
@weak girder have you seen the new blackwidow mini ?
Why keyboard when there is the one for laptop?
imagine using a laptop keyboard
Wait so laptop keyboard bad?

mhmm: cool rgb mechanical keyboard thats awesome to game with and feels satisfying to use, or shitty membrane laptop keyboard. Boy oh boy what a hard choice
Oh nice keyboard though imma use the one in the laptop since I'm on budget.
mac keyboards are the best membrane one out there imo
if you had a mechanical or optical, you will never give up on those
I have a cherry mx red keyboard
opx switches
I like it, everyone that uses it for a moment thinks it's weird as hell
Isn't there a even noisier version of the cherry mx blues?
its good for gaming but not my go to for work or typing

thats my keyboard
Im not the biggest corsair fan
but expensive as fuck
Okay Nitro 5 is my go to wishlist.
Hope the new BF:2042 will work.
tip: upgrade the ram if it has 1 stick of 8 gigs
64 ram every slot.
But then since as a teen gamer.
I live with parents who don't respect gaming but collects whatever tf they want.
I'm stuck with the upcoming mobile, never touched a BF Game thanks to them.

AMD launches Radeon RX 6900 Liquid Cooled with even more performance AMD has unveiled its flagship GPU from Radeon RX 6000 series, the RX 6900 XT LC. A hybrid cooling solution attached to an external 120mm radiator with a single fan are not the only changes in comparison to the vanilla RX 6900 XT model. […]
Uhw, another card that won't be available
Which AMD can't do anything about
people were acting like AMD were going to have stock before the 6000 series launched
It's supposed to go on the back of your case as an exhaust
You don't want a 330W GPU as your intake lmfao
rgb mousepads are lame
RGB itself is meh imo
the only rgb i have is the static white leds in my case
ik i lose 5fps by turning rgb off but idc
that is so obvious i now feel stoopid :(
good
bad day again ? dayum
Will dlss be available at launch?
no one knows
wtf was around 200 when i installed it like 2 months ago
zip bomb lmao
deez
compiling shaders go brr
tak always flexing that he won the silicon lottery
my 4790k would lick 5ghz until it actually had to compute something
4.9 was stable tho, v impressive for a basic water cooler
that cpu was certified poggers
i should be able to get my cpu to 4.2. but i cant get off 4. i really lost the lottery with it
id have to push 1.45v to get stable at 4.1. people say they can do 4.2 at 1.35
my 1060 thoooo
that card. that card was such a good overclocker
my 2070 barely gets 50th percentile
does anyone have or have experience with a pcie usb expansion card?
one that they could recommend to me
im looking at this one atm
I have one but I know some of them may not be able to utilise all slots at the same time
well i only need 1 slot so thats fine heh
USB c?
A
Right
needs to be either 3.0 or 3.1
Why won’t you get an adapter?
and preferably doesnt require supplemental power
because im trying to diagnose a problem with my vr headset
and most people say this is the way to go
i believe its some kind of weird incompatibility between the rift s and the usb host controller with my system,
so an add in card would include a different and separate controller.
and i know its a hardware problem related to my pc as the headset works on my other machine
ok more paragraphs incoming
according to gigabytes website, the front usb 3.0 ports use a different controller to the rear usb io ports. and if i use the rear ports the headset simply doesnt work, however front io does work with some minor tracking issues.
my gpu doesnt have a usb c port on it, and its a type A port for the rift s anyway
Right
So adding an additional PCIE USB expansion slot will be adapted with the additional (new) USB controller
sorry?
The device connected to the new PCIE card, will be using the card’s onboard controller?
i believe thats how it works
Hmm
I have purchased one of the PCIE card for USB. It required additional power from the PSU
So one of the cable goes to the cable that connects your SATA drive*
yeah the thing is, i believe i am out of sata power connectors and its gonna look oogly :(
And it won’t draw power from the PCIE card for some reasons
my biggest concern with the one above is im not sure how the drivers would work
as i couldnt find a website for the brand and would basically just be hoping windows automatically installs the right thing
The one you are looking at has stated not required additional cable
I think they will give you a disc or windows update
I can’t remember how it works. It was 5 years ago
if only i had something to read the disk with
Or if you can talk to the seller who can send you the software via email
ill root around and see if i can find another sata power connector, if i can find it i have my eyes on a silverstone card, much more reputable for sure heh.
Have your tried updating the motherboard firmware?
yes
Manually tho
and the usb drivers
@shy quail
ive been trouble shooting this for months heh.
Good luck I guess…
Windows 11 has been leaked on 4Chan.
Try it at your own risk, not an .iso from Microsoft themselves.
Can some PC enthusiasts help me out real quick
I’m wondering if going from:
16 gb ram/i7 10700f
to
32gb ram/10700k
Will make much of a difference?
Specs are:
1TB ssd
RTX 3070 Ventus
i7 10700f
650 watt psu
16gb ram
what is this?
I’m wondering if it’ll make much of a difference in FPS
U mean storage?
how much total space of the storage?
1tb
idk how but i think it will can fit in. or u can delete some app or stuff in your console u dont wanna use it anymore
Oh the storage is fine, I was talking about the CPU and Ram upgrade
Or if it’s unnecessary
ohhh that, that i dont know how. Sorry @opal burrow
All good
ok
Not a big difference
Over clocking 10700k get a few FPS in most cases, 32gb will probably gain about the same in a few titles.
i have 4gb ram and a i3-3120M, what should i upgrade first
@prisma talon Both
i really need help cuz this problem bothers me so bad , okay so my headset it just works fine until suddenly it disconnects like sound is gone even if im playing a spotify song it will stop in order to get my sound back i have to unplug it and replug it again and the sound is back again and i have to like press like 1 sec back on spotify to play the song i tried power settings i tried different USB ports but it's still the same i really need help
i even went and replaced it and got another one and still the same problem
Red Dragon H510 Zeus V2 , my friends got it as well for a year and nothing like that happens with him it's only me
16 gb of ram is the standard and I haven’t noticed a difference switching from 16 to 32
usb port for headset ??
yea
ok
You might need to mess with some of the settings in device manager
any help if you are free?
cuz i did some stuff already in that device manager
and same still happens
I wouldn’t really be able to tell you how to fix it, but all I can really say is to keep messing with it
oh alright thanks for trying to help tho
From what I saw looking it up it seems that it comes with multiple types of connections
If so you could try the auxiliary cord and the splitter and if none of those works it’s just the headphones
i mean
i did replace it with a new one
same for my 2 friends they never faced a problem like that before
Make sure there are no Bluetooth headphones connecting while listening and idk if Spotify lets you change the output but if it does make sure it is connected to the right output source
so im sure it's something in my PC im not sure what is it cuz im not good with Audio stuff
Yeah I’m more of a hardware guy lol
i'll see tomorrow ig im gonna sleep now , thanks again for helping
You’re welcome
If anyone knows any good DACs that won’t drain my bank account I would appreciate recommendations
I was surprised my motherboard supported 600ohm headphones so I didn't get one.
I am not sure that it would help or not. They go fairly loud.
So that makes me wonder if recommending a new motherboard over a DAC is a better idea or not.
did you manage to fix it ?
its useless
How so?
you wont notice any difference except in your wallet
yeah thats a very bad upgrade
I have the pc but it’s not opened yet
Waiting for 165hz monitor
I didn’t get 1440p because I wanna be able to run my games at 165hz
those specs would run games at 165hz at 1440p too
"decent"
The amount of times I’ve ran games on older pc’s and had terrible experiences even after taking the time to make sure everything is optimised at its best for the game and still getting shitty FPS
So I felt like 1440p would juts be too much
And if it’s not I’ll get a 1440p monitor next year
So
you probably made a mistake going for 1080p tbh
Really?
I felt like I did because 1440p 165hz was only $100 more
I think $259 vs $299
So not $100
This is the one I got
This is the 1440p one
bro id say get that on sale before it runs out
Curved
and run 2 monitors, they are the same frame so it would look right
But I just got the 1080p one 😂
162 pounds... i paid 350 for my budget of the budget 1440p 144hz
@modern gull
ditch that fecking 1080p monitor
Dang
I guess I made a mistake
But I’ll upgrade to the 1440p one next year
yeah it wont be on sale then tho, thats the reason id say get it
I’ve already spent over $3000 on all the new pc stuff
yeah i know the feeling
you should be able to yes
Then I won’t refund
why?
1080p is fine if I’ll be able to run 165hz more consistently
And there might be a better deal later on
It’s just a tax time deal
Christmas deals etc are better
I’m happy with the pc tho
Was the last one in stock all over aus
with a 3070 on 1440p low you would get around 180 fps
on ultra its 130
I’d be happy playing on medium settings lol
Medium to high
I juts want it to be consistent 165
Those are the specs
It is a prebuilt, but a 3070 in aus is $2000 alone
MSI MPG Trident AS 10TD Black Gaming PC, i7-10700F, 16GB (1x 16GB) RAM, 1TB M.2 PCIE SSD, GeForce RTX 3070 Ventus, GBLAN, WiFi 6, BT 5.1, MSI Gaming Keyboard GK30 and MSI Gaming Mouse GM11, Win10 Home
oooh. its single channel ram
Dual Channel
It’s dual channel with only 1 stick included
I can’t send pics
2 slots
Lemme see
eh?
if its only got 1 stick then its single channel
that will basically cut your fps in half on bfv#
Yep you’re right but I meant slots
yeah its all good have 4 slots, useless if there is no ram in it though lol
That’s very subjective
It’s more prominent on AMD
I’ve seen comparisons with systems with my specs and it’s not more then a 10fps ish gain
Not like I’d be playing on ultra settings
that is on an intel system above
It’s bottlenecked
bro its the same computer
on both sides
just the left has single channel ram and the right has dual channel
I’ve asked around and people said it’s a bad idea if I put in another 16gb ram stick
Which would make it dual channel
they are saying that because 32gb is unneeded for gaming
but dual channel is basically a must
So
Does it have to be the same ram?
Like brand and everything
Or can I get any ddr4 ram
because if you buy something with a lower clock speed then the other ram will be brought down to match
Oh
But what about xmp
I heard the speeds advertised are over clocked ram speeds
That have to be enabled in the BIOS
kind of, thats misleading though
when a ram stick says "3200 mhz " thats mean its rated to be stable at that speed
the ddr4 speed is 2133mhz. but different sticks have different capabilities of what they can go to
oh, I thought you already had dual channel
then in that case, yes
upgrade the ram
no
If that’s the case I’ll look into getting another one
it will still play all games perfectly fine
but even in the best case scenario id expect a loss of 30 fps
I’m pretty new to pc gaming so this shit is complicated
@supple bane actually without dual channel I had 100% cpu usage and with I had about 80% in bf5 but I dont see that in your comparison
that single channel increases cpu usage
if i didnt have to take my radiator out to remove the ram id do my own science right here rn
probs some dev build tho
