well they will both offer stellar performance. but if you want to know then they trade blows.

the 11900k is newer than the 5900x, the 11900k came out about 6 months after the 5900x. so in general expect higher performance from that.

however its a mixed bag. sometimes the 5900x wins and sometimes the 11900k wins. they are basically the same for gaming.

but productivity is a whole other kettle of fish. the 5900x is 12 cores 24 threads vs the 11900k's 8 core 16 thread. meaning it will crush intel in productivity.

finally the 11900k is much cheaper than the 5900x

so if you are just gaming go for the 11900k. if you are gaming and doing anything productivity related go for the 5900x
