Tjunction is when the transistors can't function correctly at those temps are start to degrade so the cpu has safety measures built in to stop that. hitting a high temp here and there isn't a problem especially gaming I really doubt he is pegged at 90c the whole time talking 24/7 they are meant to heat up and cool down. if it's 90c the second you turn it on no matter the load yeah that cpu will probably die very quickly. but occasionally hitting high temps is exactly what the cpu is made for up until that tjmax point then stability issue and failure can occur.
