The only thing I will still change about my setup, is perhaps a wall mounted arm for a 10" LCD for discord etc

My apartment only has 1 real spot for my desk.. so I must work with the small area I got.. Doesnt help the G7's feet stick out like a sore thumb

the S2716DG is a TN panel, and the S2721DGF is an IPS and wow this IPS makes my TN look washed out if I have both screens on the desktop

I know about VA, TN & IPS but other than knowing about them... I dont know anyhting

I know VA has wide view angles.. IPS is high contrast

and TN? dont know shit

TN = fastest response times and least amount of ghosting

but the colors arent as good as an ips or va

Ahh, makes sense. Honestly I never thought a monitor upgrade would make such an enormous difference. I was so content with a bottom tier high refresh rate..

white and orange light sources used to look very similar on my AoC, no soft subtle glows that stood out

now with HDR, i can so clearly see the warm orange glows that are so massively different than white light sources from electricity

camp fires pop too, especially at night. but not in the normal "heres a light source" way

it has a more natural feel to it, just as a real fire almost does from 10m ish

yea just from comparing the windows 10 hdr settings page with that video and comparing the sunset that dude is walking by on the ship looked insane on the new monitor

and it's a shame they don't support it well like other games

imagine Rockstar giving it an enhanced Edition like Metro got

also - if you own metro exodus, do yourself the favour and play that game to the 2nd chapter...

and for most internal areas, where there's glowing shrooms it ruins my immersion with NVGs coz they're so obnoxiously birght compared to the PITCH black surrounding

like you go underground and cant see anything, except for the damn glowing shrooms

and when you use NVGs boom you're blind
