If you can afford it, then it's just a nice to have upgrade. When an operating system runs a program, the physical memory is mapped into virtual memory. It's then paged and cached. If there are parts of your program that's not being used a lot, it's removed from cache. So when a program does something, anything, the processor looks in the caches, and if it's not there and that page is not indexed you miss and have to go to physical disc to retrieve that data (swap file). You might not NEED 32gb but it's certainly nice

It depends how you overclock i suppose. Like if you use msi afterburner and example set apply overclock at start might be risky if no good overclock. But you dont really need to reinstall windows for this, you can fix it in safe mode easily.
