reasons for high temperature might be:
-room temperature being too high due to summer and no AC and whatnot
-your CPU being high end and running it on a stock cooler for what i'd suggest to limit your frame rate if it doesn't bother your performance. If you have a 60hz monitor, limit your frame rate to 60 or somewhere around that.
-cooler's dissipator having chunks of dirt for what it's recommended to clean it at least once a year
-bad airflow of your computer case. If you have case fans, make sure the flow makes air enter from the front or below and exit from behind and up
-poor quality thermal paste that needs to be replaced
