lol
instead of r5 2600x its r5 3600
whats ur gpu?
gtx 1660ti
do you have bf1?
Yeah
Though your planning on reviewing 2 different gpus
rtx 2060 is at least faster then the gtx 1660ti
We compare the GTX 1660 Ti to the RTX 2060 SUPER to see which graphics card offers the better gaming experience at the sub $400 price point. We tested with a selection of 9 very demanding and popular games at 1080p and 1440p using High or Ultra settings where appropriate.
Buy the GTX 1660 Ti: http://www.amazon.com/dp/B07NJQLQWP?tag=cesitekw300...
yeah but if theres not a good enough cpu to handle it then it could be worse
i have my game on my hdd?
shouldn't do nothing
oh
Quicker load times
i just wanna play lol why is this gotta be so complicated
corsair
oh
why are there so many issues with pc's and games, it amazes me how you can have a problem that seems to be randomly generated
windows 10 2009 is solid for gaming
they improoved performance
but windows 10 is literally spying on you xD
With every update they add more to it
and bloatware which nobody uses
who would prefer onedrive over gdrive xd
is this the most recent version?
yeah
i cant keep track
20h2
i use still windows 8.1, cause my laptop is kinda potatoe, but at least i can run bf4 xd
my far cry problem I deemed as a corrupt file somewhere
oof
cant you upgrade to windows 10?
hmmm could be because w10 uses more ram to fonction
yeah
but they do fix lots of bugs in recent versions
do you have 4 or 8?
8
gb ram
bf4 needs 4 to fonction correctly so I dont think its your ram actually
yeah idk too. My problem was that since windows 10, my processor would activate turbo boost all the time, its like overclocking it self xD
And bf4 didnt like it
what cpu do u have?
940mx 2gb ddr3
my school laptops rock an i5 6200u with hd 620 graphocs and they run windows 10 fine xD
Its not very good, but it runs xd
yeaah I think itd your gpu that causes issues
yeah windows 10 runs fine, but bf4 was running weird
doin crazy things
couldnt fix it
yeah maybe, but i couldnt downgrade gpu drivers, only with 8.1, because the game ready drivers were only available for it. For windows 10 nvidia removed them, like the website is broken
oh could be a faulty driver yes
yes
i mean i will buy a new laptop anyways in a year when i get my job
xps15 or something like that
xD
quite expensive
if you have the money you do you
xps 15's performance is not too far off the xps 13 tho
yeah idk, maybe there will be better things then
i mean if i would buy it today
you know
you could buy a gaming laptop if you want but they can get quite heavy
a gpu is a good thing to consider since the xps will have the same performance in games that your laptop has now
integrated graphics you know...
xps's are really made to be light weight and good for travel
Yeah, but intel with intel iris plus graphics are improoving, maybe in a year they will make a better chip
and by then the performance will be better
hopefully
xD
they have flaws but its mostly price
and cooling
for their laptops at leadt
yeah sure, i dont hate apple
but they do overpricing their phones xD
maybe ill get one
who knows
I saw this one video editor on yt who told how he liked macOS for their intuitive design and stable system for video editing and the commentd where just people lynching him for having a preference
anyways I wouldnt buy apple I have no use for it
lmao
XD
I think you cant on the m1 chip now
In virtual machine windows runs fine on m1 chip
i think that microsoft is concidering to improove it
there will be someone who will make it work
wouldnt you get like...
2 fps om virtual machinr
they will fix it xD
bootcamp used to be a good option
I just dont get, why didnt we use arm chips since beginning. if they are performing better or same
I used to have macbook
it was the first macbook
it used to be good back but I got it in 2014
it was ok, I still had a desktop back then and took the macbook to switzerland where it still is today lmao
xDDdd
yeah same feeling with windows 10. Windows 8 launches explorer instantly, windows 10 just waits 3-4 secs.
windows 10 might be fine on good pcs
but i would not concider my laptop as very good xD
yours is mid range in therms of laptops
you know some people consider the rtx 2060 super to be mid range
xDDDDDD
ig in the eyes of those people I have pure garbagr
Dude my gpu is as good as an gtx 460 or something xD
XD
the gtx 1060 is being called a low end card by some people lmao
loll
"1440p 144hz is the new standard"
lmao
the worse is my friend who bought a 1650 super 1 month ago who's considering an upgrade
with antialiasing it does look fine
on a laptop screen it should
oof
yes
hes not crazy tho, he will never do
dude he can gift it to me, ill get an pcie adapter and plug it in my laptop XD
hopefully xd
how tf is this supposed to work lmao
"whats that you got there"
a homemade egpu
A additional psu
jeez just get a desktop
the frankentop
plus a desktop would be cheaper
yes
thats true
i didnt concider it anyways, but i think its a prttey interesting idea
like having a laptop with ok performance if you carry it outside, and if you go home ultimate performance
maybe they make something serious out of it in the future
who knows
in the future you wont even need to upgrade to a top notch pc
im sure
in the future I think theres gonna be so much optimization softwares with deep learning that will always optimize the game for your pc
yeah
Yeah i did heard about it
dlss is like running the game at 720p but it looks like 1080p
Like the processor is learning the way he is used, and then he can optimize him self
and radeon boost lowers the res when you turn your head
its barely noticeable but can double fps
ai upscaling, yeah thats pretty cool
plus how can nvidia possibly improve theor cards next year
no one would buy them
no one has an 8k screen
Yeah 8k is useless
but maybe vr will be alive again
and they make vr shooters or something
yeah I think vr is the future
theres a sort of csgo like game in vr
Yeah but we make the future, why dont we start know
xD
-bill gates
totally would sound like smth he would say
could you gift me a rtx 3090 sir gates
chinese new year's coming
In 12 moths youll get a rtx 6090
69
careful amd nvidias incoming for your 6000 series
rtx 69: nice
some people who arent really in tech get confused how an rx 580 is better than a 1060
but a gtx 580 is worse than a 1050
gt 710 rocks
xDdd
gt 710 vs rtx 3070 epic battle
imma do work
Intel 11th gen Rocket Lake whole product lineup looking to be faster in gaming and cheaper than Ryzen 5000 series
we be getting stuff too advanced for the games on the market
i7-11700K could be as much as $100 cheaper than the Ryzen 7 5800X while being about 10% faster
intel has not died
12th gen Alder Lake is a much bigger threat to AMD
Intel could be on DDR5 a year before AMD
Alder Lake possible launch timeframe is Q4 2021 to Q2 2022
Zen4 is Q2 2022 to Q4 2022
Nvidia may have gotten rid of the RTX 3080 Ti with 20GB and replaced it with the 12GB variant
We just know that they definitely axed a couple of upcoming Ampere SKUs, with one of them being either the RTX 3080 Ti or 3080 Super
Nvidia might have realized that having 3 different RTX 3080 SKUs may not be a good idea
one of my friends are building a pc and this is what happens
do u think its a faulty mobo ?
its not gonna fit there XD
yeah thats what i said
im 90% sure its a power supply issue ice
dont you have a psu from your old pc that you could give to him so he can see if it works ?
he likes in yorkshire lmao
ah
i met him via internet ages ago and we just became good friends
well remember i said i had to rma my powersupply a bit ago?
the computer was doing the exact same thing as whats happening there
the lights on the motherboard would come on, then when i pressed the power button it would turn on for about 1/4 of a second then turn off again
he has an old psu in his pc he was using
if he has a working psu somewhere tell him to try putting that in
if it does work, and knows how to use a multi-meter he can check if his psu is working by checking the voltages
but thats kinda complicated 🤷♂️
i just told him to see if he could put his old psu in
what cpu is it?
a ryzen 9 he is installing in the new pc
cod games in 5 years
@strong breach More because noramlly you pay for the PCI extension and then you got pay for the SSD. Also you got plug an extra cable from the PSU to power the ssd's
its not worth it unless you work with alot of data or heavy files
what kind of weird rule 34 stuff do you have..that you would require 132TB of storage?
The next cod game and its updates
Damn
Most I’ve ever held were a couple of 20TB drives
When we were mounting the security system
Not SSD obv
And they aren’t that big
But then
They are huge compared to what SSDs can achieve
I have a 1tb and I find its well enough
but cod games take a stupid amount of storage
Man my gpu coil whine is back
It went away for like a week when I stress tested my gpu for 4 hours
Now it's back

glad mine doesn't have that issue
there is no ez fix for that sadly, either replace it, open it (dont do it, it may void your warranty) or leave it as it is
@opaque saddle should I stress test my gpu everytime it goes back or should I just leave it alone
no, dont waste your time
Does it get worse or the sound gets less louder over time?
i dont know, i actually doubt that
I have a very small table as of right now. It's only 120 cm
Wide
I have to slant my case. I have yet to make a wider table so I can place my case as far as my cables can
i have a standard table with a bookshelf
it has an arm distance between my eyes and the monitor
unless you move the pc away from you
The dp cable included in my monitor is short
that might work
i do have a 3 meter HDMI cable
depends on what you wanna do
sometimes a hdmi can do most of the things you wanna have from DP cable
But my monitor will support lower refresh rate
i think it wont support adaptive sync over HDMI
It wouldnt?
coz of different HDMI standards that comes with different bandwidth
Also, monitor manual says only up to 120hz by hdmi
seems like the monitor manufacturer wants their users to use DP over HDMI
and they have cheap out the parts
i guess you might have to deal with it. unless you can move your pc further away from your seat
Aight thanks. I have to live with this
first time building a pc
get's a loud coil whining gpu

i think HKC is a brand exclusive for Phillipines
What GPU
sometimes they do sell it overseas but not often
1650 super
which 1650 super
Palit
It's just the coil whine
i got the GTS450 from Palit
it was the least expensive brand that i could get at that time
hmm i guess you dont wanna hear what happened with it
My friend got palit too
He doesnt have a loud coil whinr
We bought our gpus like 1 week apart
i ended up paying for premium cards next coz it died within a year
@ashen ether PSU can also be a factor to coil whine btw
limiting framerate apparently can
yeah i told to deal with it, replace it or open it
google says
i mean you are looking for a solution and not trying to avoid it
You can RMA a GPU for coil whine
but make sure its gpu coil whining tho
it is the gpu
I know that a motherboard, GPU and PSU are the 3 parts that can have coil whine
PSU and GPU are the worst two
Also, the coilwhine only happens when I play games
coz PSU coil whine cannot be fix
On idle, it wont make a sound
not even safe if you crack it open
GPU coil whine can be fixed by getting a new PSU
Around 5 to 15 minutes after I join a lobby it will stsrt whining
Just about anything with a power source can create coil whine to some degree, but it's usually caused by an electrical current going through a power-regulating component like a transformer or inductor, causing its electrical wiring to vibrate at a variable frequency.
But how did stress testing my gpu fixed coik whine for a week
wow you have a lot of knowledge
Well, my temps max out on 65 degrees celcius either stress testing or gaming
It's an entry level card at all
hm?
1650 super for around $170
My friend bought the same card 1 week after me on the same shop
He doesnt have a loud coil whinr

Gigabyte put awful fans on my RX 580
Decent heatsink but the fans push less air than a fart and are loud
I could replace with Noctua 80mm fans
Anyways, if I get $100 in the next few months what should I add/upgrade first?
what do you have
but I could be wrong
and what you dont have
she has coil whining
unless you can rma it and get a refund
go for a more expensive card
i meant a step up
depending on the price tho, sometimes a step up from 1650S to 1660S isnt worth paying for it
Coil whine is annoying but it doesnt damage anything
ive heard evga support is great, and they said if my psu had coil whine its unlikely they would replace it unless it was severe
I think Dust got the Palit
Because it's mostly just an annoying sound
I mean it is the cheapest brand from the market
Their cards are the worst that I’ve ever used
Shall ask @ashen ether to chat with the customer support and see how it goes
The problem do occurs on other brands as well
You can, they might not do anything about coil whine though, but you can try
Coil whine can happen on any gpu
(and other parts)
If they got a lower wattage PSU, maybe it’s better to go for AMD if they don’t want it replace their PSU
Coz PL2 from intel draws insanely high power from the wall, and the higher clock speed brings in heat
its gonna be rare a 60-100w difference is gonna require a new psu unless they bought the bare minimum before
Can’t wait to see their 12th gen tho
would be keen to see what can they do with something not 14nm. Coz a lot of us got sick of seeing their 14nm from skylake
Alder-Lake is gonna be a problem for AMD imo
i think caring about the architecture instead of the end results is a bit weird imo
I think one of the main issue is intel’s cpu architecture
main issue how? it competes with amds latest and greatest at the cost of more tdp
Alder-Lake is gonna be a bigger performance jump than Rocket Lake is over Comet Lake
Coz AMD has replaced their often and when it’s even more optimised. They got a new one on the market at the time
Rocket Lake is about 25% faster than Comet Lake in single-thread
what does it matter if the end result is roughly the same peformance?
thats where im getting at
An Fx-9590 overclocked to 5.2+ GHz back in the day could nearly match a stock i7-3770K/4770K while costing about $50-100 less, but that didn't matter one bit because the overclocked Fx-9590 consumed triple the amount of power
What I'm saying is power consumption is a pretty big deal
power consumption is a point
theres a line where it is a big deal sure, like the 9590
I know over in Canada and many European countries electricity is pretty expensive
Also consider the heat that higher power consumption gives off
if youre concerned about a 60w difference at that point its fair to say pc gaming should probably not be a consideration
Safe to say they wouldn't be buying a high-end AMD/Intel CPU that's for sure
i always hear the heat concern, but it seems like theres a slight difference there too
assuming they are using the same cpu cooler
thats only a 5c difference
for some reason 10600k not on this list, but 10700k stock with 2 more cores is only 6c hotter
so yes, amd has a performance lead, yes it is half the power consumption, not that intels power consumption is in general a concern anyways, and the "heat difference' is marginal and a non point
but at the same time amd is more expensive across the board
and certain products like 5800x vs 10700k have a huge price difference
lately on average the 10700k is 100 bucks cheaper
Ryzen 3000, 4000 mobile, 5000 are all on 7nm, which has way more heat density than Intel 14nm
You should see Intel 10nm and 7nm heat density
Seeing 80-90C is gonna become the normal operating temperature for CPUs with how hard Intel and AMD been pushing boost clocks
Best thing to do in my opinion, set your own clockspeed and voltage
Maybe try undervolting too
99% of Ryzen 3300X/3600X/3700X desktop CPUs should hit at least 4.2 GHz all-core at ~1.25v
5600X and 5800X should hit at least 4.6 GHz at that voltage at well imo
you only have one issue there
intel has no 10nm or 7nm

and they wont till like 2022
Shocking they're even a competitive brand with how the other guys used a shrink ray on their chiplets
Intel 14nm ain't a bad node tbh, much better than TSMC 12/14nm
Intel 14nm is so matured at this point that it's also better than TSMC 10nm
is there any way for OBS to display something when its recording so i dont have to check if i forgot to click on record?
is a 2600x fine with a 3060ti ?
I wouldn’t buy a 2600x but if it’s what you have it’s what you have.
Can already taste the heat
Now 10c hotter than Amd
and can run 5ghz at 100c this time
So, I don't know if this is the chat for it but I need some help
When I run BF5 on Medium - High settings, I get average 70-90fps, when I run it on DX11. When I run DX12, I get over 100fps solid, but I get micro stutters here and there
Is it something to do with the game? Or what? My specs are i7 10700K and 2070 Super with 32gb 3200Mhz ram
Whenever I play any other game at max settings, I get average 120-144fps, with no issues, but BF5 is the only one with the issue
But my frames are so low in DX11 even on Medium settings
how odd, i can run ultra with some settings on medium on my gtx 1060 6gb, on about 40-50 fps that is
1440p?
I mostly run on high at 1080p
and get more than 60
cpu?
i like my nice graphics, bit less frames is no problem for me
If I run 1080p on a native 1440p monitor it will look weird
my cpu is a core i5 4570
input lag but more fps, i use it too
likely a cpu bottleneck
yeah, ram and cpu are both slow in this pc
ultra and high is practically indistinguishable
8gb of 1600 megaherz ram
i had an i5 7400 with a gtx 1060. and that bottlenecked it like crazy
so a 4570 will certainly be bottleneck
shouldn't
guy that made it cheaped out on it, next time i'll build myself
shouldn't bottleneck to bad lol
yeah
no it was
how?
likely your ram
I can put future frame rendering on and get over 100 frames, but the input lag bothers me
TiMe tO DoWnLaOd MoRe RaM
it ran at 100% usage all the time, with the gpu running at like 50%
yeah but that limits cpu usage to get more kick out of youd gpu
its not odd lol
most people leave it on
did you use the internal graphics or smthing?
what? no
I run at 90% cpu usage and 100 gpu
so idk about you
lag is so minimal i can't notice it.
@weak girder but the input lag will be an issue though, which is gonna bother me. I don’t really notice the input lag but sometimes I feel like I will
There it is... the CPU bottleneck in perfection. It's still pretty well playable but in this case, the GTX 1060 3GB is held back heavily by the Core i5-7400. A 6 core CPU would be perfect for running this game.
Feel free to follow me on Social Media:
Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/crstnbench/

Dis...
look at the cpu usage
that stinks of a bottleneck
it doesnt go that high up for me
I'm currently overclocking the GPU
but 6c is a lot better
not gonna do much
it wont, no
yay two extra fps!
about 5 fps is the most ive achieved
In terms of extra fps, no, I know that though. But the minimum fps will not be as low. It also depends on each game
Eh
It doesn't really kill your pc lol
you wont kill a pc with overclocking, but you reduce its life
you i know, probably will only affect gpu, it's when overclocking a cpu goes bad.
yeah same, not worth it
people value overclocking too much
that was on my 1060, which was an incredible over clocker. it was 100 percentile on userbenchmark lol
meaning it performed number 1 out of 100 cards
Spent all this money on the pc, might as well push its capabilities to what it's capable of 😄
overclocking's not what its capable of
i did a userbenchmark run with the core on +400 and memory on +600mhz iirc
I know what you mean, but I don't know how to word it properly
its ok lmao
wow thats a lot
i am still using a 1060 hmmmm
in about a year, maybe less
when did you buy it?
about 1,5 years back
it was cheap, i was on a tight budget
the reason i upgraded my gpu was ark mostly lol,
See I’m not overclocking for extra frames, but I’m overclocking the gpu to increase the minimum fps
i didn't have a job back then
1060 still goes alright though
no...
its just that you dont really need to upgrade
the settings im playing ark on rn, would be completly unplayable on a 1060
like 20 fps
i bought my for 450 euro's, some parts were second hand too
I used to run a R9 380 and 8gb of ram, with an i3 6100
Couldn’t run 90% of games. It hurt so much trying to play with friends and your pc can’t run it lol
get a 2600 if you are on a budget
budget pc in 2017?
will give a nice upgrade
1600af?
Nah, I built it for like $1000AUD like many years ago
or that
Like 5 years ago?
err is that a lot
?
isnt AUD not worth much?
when i am going to upgrade i'll sell the entire pc and build a new one, the motherboard can't do anything, i want amd and not intel and new ram, gpu not as important to upgrade but i probably will.
A 2070 super last year I paid $1000 for
its 600 pounds
Our 3080s are I think going for like $1400 at the moment
The 3090 is like $3000+
wut
I have spent about $5000 on my pc alone in AUD since building it in September
And $1500 of that was basically just a new case, fans, cpu cooler, motherboard, and motherboard again lol
That should tell you what it’s like in Australia
Right now
That gpu is just over $3000 for us
For a 3070 we would pay about $1000, for a 3080 we're looking at about $1400
our shops are full of rtx 3080's but 3090's are getting sparce
huge price gap between the 2
We pay about $1000+ more for a 3090 over a 3080
And only get like 10-15% performance increas
like you need more then a 3080 lol
Increase
People who get a 3090 for gaming baffle me
Like
What do you need all of that power for
cyberpunk
8k, raytracing
Yeah, 8K is nice but it’s not really needed for competitive games, or first person shooters like battlefield and cod in my opinion
For single player games it would be awesome
But 1440p works great for me and my next upgrade will be a 3070 in a couple years
lmaoo
"8k is nice"
Hahaha
not the best but ok
What?
They do, but is it really worth it when many tv shows and channels don’t support 8K yet?
and I dont recall 8k monitors exist
its not worth it at all
8k monitor would be completly pointless
4k tvs are nice
Barely anything is supported for 8K atm
but a tv isnt the best for gaming
But people will still buy it because “it’s expensive”
the PPI on a 4k 27" is already nuts, it would be impossible to see a difference between 4k and 8k
on a monitor
true that
well, 1440p and 4k is subtle so I wouldnt think there would be a huge dofference with 8k
and 8k tvs are huge so the ppi would be the better on a 4k 27 inch than a 8k 92 inch tv
i am still playing on a 1080 23 inch sreen with 60 herz
yikes
got it for free from my grandpa, i got two though
might uy anothe rmonitor with some better specs
one good monitor is better than 2 shitty ones
sell them
dumdumdumdumdum 144hz dumdumdudm
*cough
1440p 144hz baby
not a good idea with a 1060 lmao
basically, multiply the fps you get at 1080p by 0.7 and you will get your 1440p fps almost exactly
so if you get 100 fps at 1080p, you will get 70 at 1440
rly
1440p is bout 1.6x the pixels
i prefer twqo bad ones over one god one
your seeing life blurry and with faded colors my friend
the colours are ok, the rest isn't
couldnt recommend enough mine
i have one old dell monitor and a iiyama e24
i might go for an lg screen
ew
lg screens are bland
dont you want smth else than what looks like an office monitor
this one is 160 euros
"ultra gear"
about 180 usd
only a hunderd sixty dang
yeah
oh usd
e-bay doesn't do the netherlands
still
danngnggg
1440p 144hz not the best
156 euro's
I couldnt recommend it enough
200 for 27 inches
Yea I have a 144hz free sync monitor
low looks good in bfv but the ambient occulasion and terrain are kinda meh
so Id bumb at least those 2 to medium
or ssao for ambien occulasion
I’m still overclocking gpu and I’ve overclocked the memory to 900mhz now lol
Still going
Bit scared to do 1000
+900? or 900 mhz total?
it will crash before any damage occurs
It's had quite a jump with temps staying the same so that is good
Yeah still benchmarking it and stuff
Gonna keep pushing it till it crashes then ease it off
it's the same panel as yours, 1080p but there is a 27 inch option
what I get 60-80 fps ultra-high with my gtx 1650 super
what cpu do you have
it ain't that bad lol
blurry af
if you look at ppi:
1600x900 on a 21 inch screen is BETTER than 1920x1080 on a 27 inc screen
@prime ore
single channel ram ewww
@marsh gull we actually have the same cpu lol
then why do I have better preformance?
what speed/ how much ram do you have?
its not normal that you're getting 90-120
@weak girder i have a 8gb x 2 3200mhz ram
hmm
I have the game bar turned on
you should be gettings a bit of stuttering but not lower fps
does your motherboard limit ram speeds?
I dont get suttering
I have a tuf b450m
And i have docp turned on
My ram is CL16
hmmh it should support 3200mhz
It does
With 8 I didn't have fps limitations
Awesome
thats a lot of ram slots
ive never seen an EATX look like it was too small for the stuff thats on it
LG has revealed its first 4K HDMI 2.1 gaming monitor The LG27GP950 is a 4K (3840×2160) gaming monitor equipped with HDMI 2.1 interface. The monitor features a Nano IPS display with Vesa DisplayHDR 600 support. The monitor has not yet been officially announced, but it has already appeared in LG’s CES 2021 lookbook. The monitor […]
First 4K monitor that goes beyond 144hz
so expensive
Gonna be a smaller price gap between i7 and i9 this generation because they have the same core count with only difference being clockspeed
I hope Intel puts the 11700K at ~$399
11700k amd counterpart is 5800x, which is 450
Intel is either gonna undercut AMD prices or match them
thanks AMD for the price hikes
thats always such a misleading metric though, its not like reasonable people are buying a 10900k for gaming when a 10600k does 98% what a 10900k will
but i get it, the meme "this 300 dollar cpu beats a 500 dollar cpu" number response
why buy the new 11th gen if you already have 9th gen and up?
too many variables to make a general statement, per usual
assuming same "tier" i wouldnt see a reason to upgrade unless you absolutely need the best of the best
Some people think its about gaming on cpu and gpu but really alot want process power to work with algorithms or render
Thats where the high end really pays itself of

in about 3 minutes will start
ooo amd now and nvidia in an hour
i wish they do
Hess has one doesn't he?
lets see if people will look bit away from it if they announce the 3080ti etc
yes hess got one
but stock is actually more dry then december or november
All we can get here are the 3070's
3080ti has to be 1k
yeh most likely but you never know nvidia
the 3070 is 1k here
id only be kinda annoyed if nvidia announces refreshes
watch them apologizing for the stock shortage etc
laughs at upside down land
stream is up
my money is on low end announcements like 3060, 3050 ti, 3050
they said something about rainbow six siege getting RTX yesterday
MAYBE 3080ti announcement
lower end 30 series cards would be pog
yea
yea i wouldnt use a conference to announcent rtx for an esports title that is like 5 years old
Kinda weird they would announce new stuff if they can't even keep up with the current pre-orders.
id imagine low end is where most of the money is
instant buy

"introducing lisa su"
shows white redhead lady
lmfao
called F1 merc petronas team

no wonder Merc is so fast they have ryzen cpu in it
are they sponsored by amd?
2 more months
@storm osprey yes they use amd tech for data processing etc
ooo
oh yea, hopefully amd announces 5600 for sub 250
The AMD cards are insanely expensive here compared to the NVIDIA counterparts sadly
Looks like I'll be getting a 3070 to drive my VR
im kinda confused about this whole thing about vr being super intensive
because, i have a rift s, which isnt the highest resolution headset. but my gpu rarely reaches 70% usage and im playing ultra in every game with the fps maxed to the 80 fps cap
Well I'm looking at getting a Pimax 8KX which is dual 4K screens in ultrawide
I've currently got a vive pro which runs great on a 1060 but that defs won't be enough for a pimax
LOL that mobile juke
For normal headsets the valve index also has a 144 hz refresh so you can use the extra GPU power
well amd stream has been wack so far
So does memory speed on a mobo means the fastest the ram can go correct?
thats determined by cpu and mb afaik
this stream sucks
glad thats over, what a waste of time
lmao
3060 with 12gb vram and the 3080 with 10gb vram
people who work with 3d modelling and rendering
as a gamer its annoying on principle
@storm osprey thanks my cpu only supports 2666
but im also someone that wont mind dropping settings and i dont expect 2gb to be a determining factor commonly
I only got a intel bc it was super cheap
well intel isnt as ram dependent as amd is so theres also that
I got 3200mhz of ram bc it was cheaper
and I thought if i ever get a ryzen chipset it would work better
I'm also annoyed by vram why doesn't rtx 3080 have 20gb of vram
you pay 700 and get 10gb vram where the 3060 has more
like.. actually annoyed?
20gb is a lot
id say 12gb of vram for 3080 at 700 bucks is reasonable, anything above that is generous
I mean they are able to add more vram though
well yea, they are always able to, but theres a reasonable expectation
they did add 2gb of vram from 2080 to 3080 and kept the same price but gave a huge performance jump
True
10gb is only bad when relative to amd, and thats likely why the 3060 has 12gb of ram too
so NOW it looks bad internally too
True
im a bit miffed that my 3080 has less vram than a 3060, but at the same time not even cyberpunk is hitting 10gb of vram at 4k, rtx, ultra/med settings
True though cyberpunk 2077 is not very well optimized
only time will tell how screwed 10gb of vram will be in the future
roblox man will push it to its limit
i dont think it will be a common problem for AAA games for another 2 years
True though rtx 3060 which is cheaper then the ti is coming out at 329
nvidia playing numbers game
since 3070 has 8 GB
12gb of vram for a weaker 3060ti is trivial
3080 has 10gb
True makes no sense at times
ik
its just a numbers game to counter amds vram
i just meant you go 12 GB on 3060 to 8 GB on 3070
Look at that 16gb of vram on the rx 6900xt
doesnt the 6800 get 16gb?
yea they do
Yes
weird scenario, but at the same time amd has commonly given higher vram counts
570/580 had 8gb variants when their counterparts were 3/4/6gb from nvidia (970/1060 3gb 6gb)
True
well, at least i get more time with my 3080 before nvidia announces something like a 3080 super that makes my card look like a bad purchase xD
rtx 6900ti
gpu owned in order: 970, 980ti, 1080, 3080
RGBTX 8800 Ti Super Mega Ultra
RGTX 100000TI SUPER ULTRA DEATH CHRIST
11gb of ram
well i wish i didnt vaguely watch those 2 streams
Laptops, laptops, Epyc, RTX3060 Laptops...
considering i dont need a 3060, the coolest news was DLSS for warzone...

Kick ass value
3060Ti and 3070 owners still should be salty
True
$330 GPU in the same generation having 4GB more VRAM than a $500 GPU
12gb of vram on a card thats 329
Though us tariffs might affect it
guess 100-200 dollars more
I'm waiting until end of next year to upgrade
So about 18-22 months from now
Nvidia will have GPUs 5nm node by then
idk if they should be salty, they have more than enough vram for their use case (even up to 4k for a lot of games) and they get better performance
Not gonna be enough for 2022
Bet you even by end of this year there's gonna be games more demanding than anything currently out
sure there might be a handful of games pushing 10gb at 4k max settings, that isnt the norm though
Is the radeon rx 5600 xt good, I wanna do a build for my brother
