Maybe they add TAA sharpening setting for next game, so it can be tweeked to our personal liking. If i remmeber corectly rockstar games added an option for this in RDR2.
I'm getting 45-65 fps while in the middle of encounters in bfv
It's really screwing me up
I have it with rtx off, low to medium settings
I'm on a ROG G14 max specx
you got high cpu usage?
Nothing above 80
might not help to reduce graphics tho
this games seems cpu craving lul
aslong as your gpu gets up to 100% changing graphics settings will help for fps
if your gpu is lower at max graphics lowering graphics probably wont help.
Been trying to figure out the cpu usage in bf5 but havent found any solution actualy
maybe the game just needs this much cpu during full battle
oh
When I bought this screen for $1.7k
btw try with future frame rendering, it should lower cpu usage.
you spent 1.7k for a screen?
Yup
Ultrawides
If this was out at the time I would've got it instead
But it was jumping all over the place
nice

I suppose if you feel like spending that much on a screen
i bought a 34" va ultrawide
Actually I'm wrong this was the one
wtf these prices just going up
Ultrawide 3K screen with QLED and 200Hz
great now you got lower cpu usage ๐
lol
no problem man glad to help ๐
taa sharpening loks disgusting in rdr2
but anything than taa in bf1 looks like shit
fuck, were doing sports in my zoom call adn we have to do things like squats with our camera on in front of everyone
I havent tried to adjust that much to be honest, the image i have there is plesant enough. Basicaly in battlefield its like they have set sharpen to max on everything lul
tf?
yeah
oh yeah bfv looks oversharpened
you might not see huge diffrence as everything is sharpened anyways lul
image on the right has post proccessing / taa at max
sorry cant talk im doing pull up rn
no worries
what does that mean?
click image, bottom left it says open original
what do you mean? my point was you will see a more accurate comparison if you open original image.
no I thought it was like a secret setting that eliminates sharpening lol
didnt understand what you meant
Oh i see lol
finally i finished sports
nice
I hope they atleast will make a setting for image sharpening for the next game, cause DICE over sharpened everything with bf1/5. Again i am pretty sure all this sharpening is to compensate for the blur TAA makes. In my opinion slight blur from TAA is actually nice, ghosting is not ofc.
i dont find bf1 is overly sharp
bht bf5 definitely is
sharpening anti aliasing is not that great of an idea
Its better than 5 thats for sure, still too sharp for my taste.
@modern gull try rdr2 with taa sharpening
at the maximum
its funny how disgusting it looks
Mhm i should, i got it at like 10-15% now. Probably will look poop
starting RDR2 now lul
does it look ok at 10%
ya not any issues i mostly accidentaly adjusted this setting lol
but i remmeber it being on around there
it automatically set to 100 when I adjusted the graphics quality slider to high or smth
oh lol
I just told myself: wow this game looks disgusting on high
at 10% not noticable sharpnes atleast
hahaha
thats what sharpening does, tiny thing like that can break graphics
but medium is already very beautiful in this game
dice should know that yet they over sharpen their game
especially bf5
mhm
I need to put the game to 1440p so it looks ok
but then I have to drop down settings
its wierd how sharpening is the oppositebof anti aliasing and they try to combine anti aliasing and sharpening
looks soo horrible lul
hahahah
they do that since TAA blurs the image
but sharpening causes pixelisation
yeah, I prefer a little blurrines to jagged edges
10% for sharpening should bee nice too keep the image smoth and detailed while using taa
lol
ok cool
just adjust the slider
I hate restarting the game everytime I change graphics
man i hate the sharpening in bfv, why is it even a thing
everyone agrees
hahahahhaha
it looks like garbage
people doing post process lost their glasses during that work maybe
lol
haha
that game would look so much better without its sharpening
it already looks really good
then it'll look perfect
TAA is a realy great AA in my opinon
yeah
yes it should
its not demanding and looks great
fxaa is not demanding but looks terrible
only recent games support taa
even tough it might be a bit blurry you still get alot of detail and smoth and plesant experience
I tried playing steep again and it looked terrible because there is only fxaa
ya fxaa will be sharp kind of but its not actualy sharpening the image its more the TAA blurs the image
the high setting when it comes to TAA in games would probably be to eliminate ghosting i am sure of
low is less resource needing but more ghosting
dont sharpen image on next game like bf5 lul
aaaaaa
is the amount of threads important for basic office work?
i imagine it isnt
but i ask just in case
i have to build two pcs for my office and im wondering if 2c2t is worth it
what you gonna do?
all they do is microsoft office apps and similar softwares and a lot of anydesk and teamviewer
ive been building 2c4t in the past
pentium g5420 specifically i think was the one ive been buying
Get information about the version of Office youโre considering buying or are beginning to use.
system specs needed atleast
anybody remembers the low budget amd cpus? the ones below ryzen, cause i never remember those
cool ty
np man
it would seem that 2c2t is more than enough as long as its any modern cpu no matter the tier
ya probably. aslong as it can run windows nicely i'd expect office to work no problems
whats more important though, cores or threads
i guess a basic 2c2t with an ssd and 8gb ram will suffice
is 6c 6t better than 4c 8t or worse
cores are always more important except for very few games where the threads are super well optimized but ive only heard of like one or two games that do that
6c probably better but hyperthreading is really helpfull sometimes
but i'd still vote 6c tho
games often get higher frame rates at 6c6t than 4c8t, ive seen an extensive test about this yesterday on yt
ya you got more actual cores
only one game in the test ran better at 4c8t than 6c6t
yea, it only makes the cores seemingly faster (not literally but its comparable to that)
but more cores is still better
@weak girder i hope they will add a slider like rockstar did in rdr2 as TAA is an amazing AA
mhm i would think soo
@weak girder Here you go, your photo https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/792336177008607242/796703933703520266/20210107193029_1.jpg
it would be better if you had a comparison tho i'd say
wait a sec let me launch bf5 lmao
dont hold on i got photos
ok thx
yeah
gg dice
you could easier see ssao artifacts i suppose with higher sharpening. but i think bf5 has hbao if i dont remmeber wrong
mhm ofc
rdr2 volumetrics cannot be beat tho
the volumetric fog is realy nice including the clouds
especially the render distance, it feels really realistic how tress and shadows look from far away
just imagine how great bf5 would look atleast if you could reduce the sharpening effect they added
it doesnt feel like objects that get rendered
hmm what do you mean?
in rdr2
ya what i was tought you meant
I feel like there is no "render distance"
whereas you can clearly see it in some games
ah ya like you see the objects realy far
billboard textures etc... would be nice in distance with less performance cost
devs usualy does that for larger objects like trees. grass usually fades away
It will look like bf5 lul
at 10
so it looks a bit sharper without making it horrendous
oh it actually doesnt impact fps at all
ya dont need to sharpen it much, the taa blur is also nice to smothen the image
I keep it on most of the time for rdr2
shouldnt i would expect
I like playing the game with a controller
I dont always do though
vut the blur looks nice
yes more plesant image
games like gta i play with ps3 controller
always
btw you wouldnt need to adjust it too much to get a nice balance between smoth and sharp image
i think 10-15 is best
yeah its enjoyable and I hate people who say "BUT WHY DONT YOU PLAY ON YOUR PS4"
cuz my ps4 is 30 fps bitch
id say more around 70
towards ๐
well that could be 1 for that matter actualy
around 100 to re word myself lol
lol my last console i bought was ps3
fun fact i mostly bought it cause of battlefield bad company 1
thats a very expensive battlefield game
my brother bought a ps4 6 years ago do now I still have it
damn nice
bc1 was the best of the two in my opinion
got bc2 and demons souls in 2010
those were probably some of the best investments of my life
luemao
i never played bc1. I've only seen videos and I don't like the hud, but the maps look interesting and I always wanted to try them
par for the course man best map in a battlefield game "silly wise"
i hated playing an fps game with a controller though
the only reason i got bc2 for ps3 was because my pc was an e7200 with a geforce 9400 and couldnt run shit
personaly i think its ok, but i would never play example battlefield on pc with controller tho
oh i see
same
ive played cs since i was a kid and i was hell used to playing shooters on mouse and kboard. Moving to ps3 for bc2 and bf3 was a very suffering experience for me. Every time I played those games, I ended up ragequitting
until I got a new pc
my first computer was a laptop my second was an hd 6750
ah i see played cs since i was a kid myself lul
desktop
i got my first own pc when i was about 14 "desktop"
gpu?
yeah radeon hd 6750
and it was standing on its last legs until 2017 where I habe my now pc
in 2011 my first pc with the hd 6750 had a 1st gen i5 if I remeber and 4gb ram
nice
i really couldnt get good with a controller for the life of me and it made me mad how other people did. I still think mouse is objectively more accurate than a controller, but I am especially bad with controllers, i played bc2 and bf3 for like 3 years on the ps3 and i didnt improve a bit and it was frustrating to see how everyone else could shoot me with ease when I couldnt even aim to someone standing right next to me
i remmeber i had core 2 duo at one point
I guess controller isnt for everyone. But did you have aim assist off or on?
i tried both off and on
it wasn't that
i was just really bad
i am very decent with mouse actually
i see
its not like i cant aim for shit, it's just that the controller feels terribly unnatural for me
that not unusual
you have direct control of your movement with your mouse
with a controller your thunb cobtrols a joystick which is a lot less natural
lol i have had controller in my hand since i was a little kid, including mous/kb so i am used to both.
ive also had controllers since i was born, but i never played games where i have to aim with them
I didnt start gaming until 2016 lol with csgo
im not an og
I used to play the wii though
since I was a kid
actually I played the wii since I was 5
i was born in 1992 and i already had a nes and a few years later i had a pc with windows 95 so i really always played videogames, but i only ever played shooters on pc and rpgs and platformers on consoles
oh wii didnt exsist when i was 5 lol, dont even think ps1 did
I was born in 2003 though
do yall think a A6 7480 is good for basic office work?
Ah the good old nes
Sorry i wouldnt know i lack knowledge on amd cpu's
I remeber the old fx's and how bad they were
lol
when my friend wanted to get a pc in october he saw one with a 1050 ti and fx 8350 and he wanted to get it
NOOOOO thats a terrible idea
i mean, if it was cheap enough, it could be a good idea
it wasnt though
and itbwas a prebuilt
with the same price he got a 1650 super and r3 3100
custom built
hello bunch of tech cutie nerds
your pfp makes this 10x worse
you mean 10x better
you dont need anything powerul for school work
that pc is gonna be gud for gaming
budget? and what level of performance? (30fps? 60fps? 120fps? 1080p? 2k? 4k?)
approximate?
bruh
for 500$ you can get an awesome pc that runs anything
ok if you can:
1650 super / 1650 on lighter budget
ryzen 3 3100/i3 9100f
16gb ram
motherboard and case are personal preference
THANK YOOOOOUUUUUUUUUUU
research about pc's
@prime jasper unless youre in some niche market gpus are stupid expensive right now and blow up any sort of budget part
oh yeah btw I live in hk @prime jasper we are on of the top leaders in production quantity so parts are cheap here
Idk about you
I live in merica
your stores are packed with 3080s?
yep
a) Ryzen 5 3400g + 16 gb ram (divided into two 8gb modules) + a320 motherboard + 450w or more corsair/evga/seasonic power supply
b) i3 9100f + gtx1650super + 16 gb ram (divided into two 8gb modules) + h310 motherboard + 500w or more corsair/evga/seasonic power supply
c) i5 10400f/Ryzen 5 3600 + gtx1660super 16 gb ram (divided into two 8gb modules) + b460 motherboard if intel, b450m if amd + 500w or more corsair/evga/seasonic power supply
d) ryzen 7 3700x/ryzen 5 5600 + rtx 3060ti + 16 gb ram (divided into two 8gb modules) + x570 motherboard if ryzen 7, a520 if ryzen 5 + 600w or more corsair/evga/seasonic power supply
compter centres whatever you want to call them I sent you a picture
people are still fighting
good combos but it can be expensive
i named from cheap to expensive
for b 550 watt would be better
yes, but if his budget is limited, 500 will do
3200g for drastic measures
coz 3400g isnt cheap at all
@fallen harbor wouldn't recommend the i3-9100 when there's a 10100
if pay for a bit extra for the gpu, getting something not 3400g will be nice
not worth it
its more expensive
last time i checked, the 9100f had a better price-performance ratio than the 10100
and idk if it has an f variant
4 threads isn't enough anymore
the 10100 doesnt have a f variant
depends on your standards
9100f has 8t no?
in usa 10100 is cheaper
9100 is 4t
i dont recommend F variant tbh
oh shit
10100 introduced 8 threads
get the r3 3100
woah did it come out recently or what
rather have non f than f coz the igpu can be nice sometimes
its only a dollar more for igpu
yeah
what use lol
in some places, the F version is more expensive than non f
One advantage that Intel had over AMD is iGPU in every CPU they made but now Intel ships more F models than regular
coz no one wanna get the F
i miss when 10400f was 150 bucks
i can only speak for my local prices tbh
i said in some places
i cant be arsed to split my brain into two worldly prices for everything
btw I have an i3 8100 with a 1060
I wanna upgrade my cpu for the future
what cpu do you think is best
id go for ryzen 5 5600
ive been thinking i5 9400 but then that would be a bottleneck
if you can get an 8700k used for a good price id do that
bottleneck is when the gpu is stronger than the cpu, not the other way around
it can the other way around
it goes either way really
yeah
it'd be a waste, but it wouldnt be a bottleneck
thought bottlenecking a cpu is just rarer
you can pair a 2080ti with a intel core m
it can reduce gpu usage and cause fps drops
"itd be a waste" is basically what a bottleneck is
a waste can be like you got a 12 cores cpu
but you use for for checking email, that will be a waste
semantics but sure
"imma pair up my i5 940 with a rtx 3090"
some people do that
the point is that you are making no sense in looking for a cpu for the future while also not wanting to surpass your 3-generations-behind-gpu
If a i5-9400 costs more than a i3-10100 then it's not worth it, I'd still buy the 10100 over the 9400 even if it were more because you'd be able to upgrade to 11th gen
i got a 6 core cpu on my laptop
i switched off tb and ht for 5 extra hours of battery life
ended up getting 63% of what the CPU can do with HT and TB on
my brother is doing very advanced AI and coding as a living whith heavy programs and hes still rocking his macbook pro from when he graduated 6 years ago
a lot of people do that on windows
he just thinks an upgrade aint worth it
coz its a macbook so you know its a macbook. sometimes they might have used their windows for a few years as well
Don't get a 9th gen Intel CPU that lacks Multithreading
when some people upgrade their 2080 ti to a 3090 because 4k 144hz is their new standard ig
dont upgrade if you dont need to
not very significant for gaming
It will be
this is the macbook i bought in 2018, replaced it for free in 2019
I got an imac recently
in 7 years
I dont have any real use for it so I think I might give it to my parents
I got it from my uncle
not sure why i still think STM or HT is important for cpu that has less cores
who has no use for it either
New games like RDR2, Cyberpunk, Death Stranding all take significant advantage of multithreading
they do
taking advantage is different than being the standard
my parents wants to get a 21 or 27" 5k imac coz they cannot see thing well
if you got a cpu that has less cores, more threads will help
my mom has an 11 inch nacbook air from 2013
Death Stranding is a game that scales up to 32 cores and 64 threads @storm osprey
however, if you got a cpu that has more cores (like 8 cores), threads don't really matter
and my dad a old laptop with an i5 6300h and integrated graphocs when he does some very gou and cpu heavy tasks
i have done most of my laptop work on my iphone these days
again, because it takes advantage of more cores doesnt mean its the standard
laptops are more practical
6c12t is waaay better than 6c6t
no shit
no, no it isn't
unless you can use all 12t at the same time
Those 1% and 0.1% lows
hyperthreading really gives you an advantage
sometimes HT can be very helpful or not at all
people said 4c8t wasnt gonna last when ps4 released "because of console core counts" even though it took 7 years for 6c12t to even be close to the recommended now
depending on the games. but usually i will leave it on if i have it, for gaming
very few games take advantage of multithreading, if any at all, it's lightyears away from being the standard
4c 8t from 7 years ago is different from now
and fx 8350 has 6 cores and its a shit cpu
isnt 8?
Majority of games actually see improvement from multithreading
its like core count isnt the only factor and theres differences between console and pc
4 full modules, total of 8 cores
the fx8350 is 8c and it isn't a shit cpu
and its like seeing improvements doesnt meant its necessary to have multithreading
Even Half Lyfe 2 from 2004 saw benefit using 1c2t over 1c1t
consoles share ram with vram if I understand coreectly
have you ever seen tests about this? because you are making it sound as if that improvement was significant when it isn't at all
i have seen the results are mixed
no you shouldnt upgrade a 6c6t to a6c 12t
either helpful or not helpful
theres an advantage but not worth an upgrade
I wouldn't buy a 6c6t CPU like the i5-9400 in this time unless if it were like ~$80

this is interesting, but only for 3900x
3900X is basically two 3600X together lol
one conversation is saying to not upgrade the other is saying to not buy
not buy is a strong word
most people here simply exaggerate things that they don't know much about
saying 6c6t is never worth it unless it's 80usd is an outstanding display of ignorance
just like people recommending dual channel ram when their game cant get past 20fps on a mid end computer
gentlemen I inquire
whom hath released the hounds
why tf would you get mad at people recommending smth they dont have
yeah theyre right dual channel is a lot better
Lack of multithreading on the i5-9400 isn't the only issue, it's also on a dead chipset
i get mad at people giving missinformation
yeah but you were saying people who cant get 20 fps shouldnt recommend getting dual channel
I wouldn't buy anything 9th gen Intel because 10th gen exists and with 10th gen you can upgrade to 11th gen which is a big upgrade
.
5% gains from 9600k to 10600k doesnt seems like much of a difference to bring up
yeah...
like when most people here said ICE's problem was not having dual channel for instance
when it clearly wasn't the case
Didn't see that convo
good luck trying to explain that to somebody that just learned dual channel exists
Dual channel RAM doubles your memory bandwidth which in turn reduces the communication latency between your CPU and RAM, therefore your CPU can feed your GPU more instructions
It wont matter if you have a low-end GPU tho
absolutely besides the point
it doesnt affect cpu usage but @latent light is right here
...
your cpu and gpu always work in coordination and by reducing the latency your cpu feeds your gpu information st a slower rate which reduces gpu usage
Dual channel RAM makes a huge difference for APUs like the Ryzen 3400G
yeah this is exactly what everyone told ice when his i5 9400f 1660s 8 single channeled gb ran bf5 like a slideshow believing they were super smart about it
yeah i think ill leave this place
Battlefield V Beta, 1x8GB vs. 2x4GB RAM performance comparison.

I'm not wrong
Dual channel makes an astronomical difference in BF5
Ask @supple bane
I tried this myself too
Pulled out one stick of ram and played BF5
Couldn't even hit 60 fps
I think my issue is cpu
Ryzen 5 1600 and RX 580 btw
my cpu has something wrong with it
i think reducing your total ram changes that test a bit
@proud trellis s problem has nothing to do with ram
getting 16 helped me a lot tho , look at COD
cod eats ram alive
i5-9400 and 1660S shouldn't have any issues playing BF5, there's gotta be some type of issue there
its not ram
Could be any problem, from temperature issue, windows issue, bad game install, hardware issue, ect.
he has 2x8 which is not a problem whatsoever and even if it had a problem he would get low gpu usage, not abnormaly high clu usage
temps seem fine
malware was the most probable
cpu is around 40-50 and gpu 60-73
but then it still doesnt make sense
People think itโs a hardware issue
Also I've noticed 2133 MHz memory is too slow for BF5
thats not gonna impact the cpu thid much...
Even a 9900K paired with 2133 MHz memory won't touch 100 fps in BF5 lol
yeah but thats
GPU related
dude come on half bf5 players would get shitty fps if we follow that logic in bf5
i wish i could send my pc back tbh
and just say i think its a cpu issue
but i cant
Ahhh prebuilt.........
say that their pc is a piece of shit
yeah
Yeah I've seen plenty prebuilt PCs have issues that I couldn't even fathom
cant even refund it
waaaah such a big difference laaah
so 2133mhz touches 100 fps, and 3200mhz gets a 10% increase
its not ram it makes no sense
@proud trellis are you still having the issues with bfv btw?
yeah
can i remote into your pc again and dig around some more?
dm me the team viewer stuff
we were in vc the other day, he tried every setting at every resolution it didnt change shit
one min
@storm osprey also that's campaign, not even comparable to multiplayer performance
Campaign runs way better than multiplayer
no one likes the bfv campaign
It was decent
They should have taken the last Tiger story and turned it into a 6 hour campaign imo
idk I didnt buy it at launch
youd probably guess why
I bought it when the pacific update cane along
and people liked it
the BFV campaign seems shit
DEME Y FOT QUE TOO TILLE SOUS L ENAMI
i cant find this very specific "9900k ram difference for bfv mp" so if you want to back up your claim have at it
there is no difference
i imagine there is a difference, but not dramatic, and i fully suspect a 9900k paired with a proper gpu can hit 100 fps with 2133mhz ram
yeah
I keep closing the game any help or suggestions? I lowered the resolution I lowered the graphics I put it in performance mode I saw a video and nothing at all.
too many possibilities, a ton of variables
can somebody help me with edilon bf 5 ?
Adata on Wednesday said that it was testing 64GB DDR5 8400MHz memory modules on the 'latest Intel platforms' for consumers, which probably means Intel's upcoming 12th generation Alder Lake processors with up to eight high-performance Golden Cove cores and eight energy-efficient Grace Mont cores. The motherboards that Adata uses right now are from Gigabyte and MSI.
Alder Lake CPUs will support up to 256GB RAM
necessary
Seems like dual-channel can be activated on a single DIMM of DDR5
So maybe quad-channel support too?
Also 128GB DDR5 modules for consumer in the not too distant future
๐
Memory controllers for DDR5 gonna be way more advanced than DDR4 controller
to play battlefield 3 well I need to wait for the warranty to expire ๐ฆ
wanna post that in #streams-and-videos bud
AM4 and LGA1200 sockets will still hold relevance to AM5 and LGA1700 for two reasons: value and supply
DDR5 is said to cost over 3x more than DDR4 in 2022
Also will be tight supply since smartphones will adopt DDR5 memory as well
Though ddr5 could be beneficial as now igpu can have better graphics and be better for gaming
GPU chiplets confirmed for RDNA3, should fit right in a Ryzen package in tandem with a CPU core chiplet
The AMD patent for GPU chiplets is pretty wicked, shows multiple GPU chiplets in one processor package
Looks like APUs could have more than 1 GPU chiplet as well
Navi 10 went up to 40 compute units, recent Navi 21 doubled that to 80CU and looks like Navi 31 will double again to 160CU with chiplets
Damn rdna3
That patent that AMD filed provided a lot of info
Even putting current 7nm Vega iGPU on DDR5 would have big performance gains, upwards of 50% or more
Meant to reply to first message
If you want an example, look at the GT 1030 GDDR5 vs GT 1030 DDR4
Yeah
Though ddr5 does have its limits
DDR5 is way better than DDR4
It wont have that big of an effect on CPU performance but for graphics it is a huge factor for performance
there would be more clearnece/ breathing room for the GPU right?
Not sure but it won't be long until we find out
DDR5 bandwidth is 85+% higher than DDR4 with 0.1v less power draw
It wasn't until 2017 when DDR4 was actually worth upgrading to from a DDR3 platform if you had a Intel 2nd to 4th gen CPU
not sure why they would put a ddr4 into the 1030 and they knew it wont sell well
Please help i brokr my baaskspsacpe key
im on a laptop and i dont have spare parts

Ello ello
The entire fucking button fell apart
can you still press on the membrane
The rubber thing
guess youll just have to CTRL A and restart every time you mess up

Ok so I managed to get it to respond
Why do I keep getting kicked by punkbuster when I load into a game?
What bf are you trying to play?
guys
does windows 7 or 8.1 instead of windows 10 fix weird fps drops in bf4?
Its butter smooth 60 fps, but sometimes it drops to 15 for like 10 seconds
its annoying
In the beginning at match, not on all maps, and sometimes in the middle
even if in taskmanager bf4 has high priority
nothing in backround
specs? @prime jasper
i5 7200u, 940mx ddr3 2gb, 16gb ram, bf4 on 128gb ssd @supple bane
was fine some windows updates before
its smooth but just suddenly framedrops
xd
its hell
with a gpu that slow, when the frames drop to 15 fps, scroll through task manager and see if there is something using loads of resources
i had a similar issue in dirt rally, for about 5 seconds my frames would drop to below 10 and then return to normal, and i found steam was using like 80% gpu, after closing steam it was fine
yeah i didnt find anything
thanks anyways
@supple bane i mean its a laptop from 2016, of course the gpu is slow xd
it was fine
but one windows update ruined it for some reason
I already know why battlefield 3 is closed to me. it's because i broke the processor. because months ago when I was playing gta and didn't know much about computers. at one point the cpu and gpu reached 100%. I think I broke the processor ๐ฆ
@prime jasper reaching 100% usage is normal
VRM on upcoming Gigabyte Z590 is gonna be absolutely monstrous, overkill in fact
That's more than enough VRM to power an RTX 3090
still better than less vrm
This may hint at very power hungry Intel 11th gen CPUs
coz their current 10900k uses 250w during PL2
10900K overclocked under water can draw 300+ watts iirc
14nm
the z490 is designed for those processors
Someone selling 3950X for 5800X price

What's better, 16 fast cores or 8 very fast cores
Think I'd still pick 5800X over 3950X even for rendering/content creation
depends. for games 8
but with the IPC of zen 3 and speeds, the fact it has less cores is not that bad for content creation
It's either you get 25% higher single-thread performance or about 70% more multithread
coz i seldom render stuff from my pc, usually people will pick the 5800x rather than 3950x for the same purpose
you ever had a game crash so hard that it crashed steam with it, and then crashed task manager when i tried to close it

Yes... and in fact cooked off a fan in the process, which I had to replace, when the board lost its shit and dropped into a multi-boot BSOD hell.
yikes
it depends on how much is fast and very fast for you, but for gaming nowadays theres no much difference between 8 and 16
Just one tho
@supple bane Windows 8.1 and older video card driver actually helped lol
no lags at all
I have been playing BF4 for a couple weeks and things were smooth. But one day when I was loading into a server, the game started to stutter and freeze. It would keep happening like it was an old PS2 game trying to load when the disk was all scratched up. After waiting and waiting, the game finally kicks me to the main menu and says I have lost connection to the session. Does anyone have any idea what the hell is happening? Like this only happens to BF4. I have uninstalled, reinstalled, repaired the game. list goes on. I have an i7-9700k @ 3.6 and an RTX 2070.
If that post is for me, Iโm sorry but it doesnโt help. I had already installed those drivers as well as trying to go back to the old one
@candid sentinel A little tip from me, if you update your drivers, keep the update file exe thing where you downloaded it, so if you regret it, you reinstall from the older executable. And if they are fine keep the new exe and delete the old one
and so on
I'm on the old driver again anyway and it still isnt working
thats not good news
Yea...I have no clue what the issue is. As I said; this problem is ONLY with BF4 and no other games that I own
unimpressed

i moved my mouse so fast and hard i hit my keyboard and pulled my AT pistol out, and thats not impressive
waaa
that was with just 1000 dpi at 5 ig sens.
there is proof you can flick with a heavy mouse
and proof that you dont need a light mouse for snappy movements
the argument isnt that you CANT do these things, but that a lighter mouse will be better

yo ok so im doing a motherboard and cpu swap here soon
will i need to rebuy windows
everything else will be the same
Just contact Microsoft for the key
when I had that happen I just contacted their support and they gave me a new one for free.
Eh just try it I guess
so all i need to do is call them up after to get a new key
Pretty much, explain the situation and hopefully you will have a nice agent on the line.
oh ok
so would i just have to look in my setting ow whatever to findit
ill just use a turorial on yt
yeah i found a way to do it by just right clicking on the windows button and selecting the admin thing
then typed in a command and it showed me
Why so much people hate epic laucher?
i dont like its ads
they are so annoying i didnt even feel like looking for a way to hid them
i just close the launcher
gamers are a fickle bunch and want everything through steam for "convenience"
because "having multiple launchers is a pain"
GoG the store front? what about it?
I remember gog did have some sort of solution
gog galaxy 2 unites them all into one lkauncher
I dont get why you should use gog
its like useless
every other launcher allowys to add non (insert launcher name here) games
Why you say that?
Because its imo useless
at least for me
You could have your games on your desktop
and turn off icons
The gog launcher will start the other stores too ones you start a game
i could just use my desktop shortcut xD
Morning
Ello
guys Ik this has nothing to do with bf
but I downloaded far cry 5, I loaded up the story for the first time and I played for an hour before quitting
then I come back and when I look at the settings my vram use has tripled
I was curious and loaded the story and I had massive stuttering and 3x less fps which made the game crash
When I went back I couldnt even load the story anymore
yeah
how can my vram use triple
and hos does the game use 6gb vram on 1080p high
when it used 2.5 the first time
Maybe the beginning of the game wasn't very intensive
you guys have 6gb vram, i have 2 xdd
no
a 1060 should run this game fine
and its not normal for my vram usage to triple
and why wouls it crash
ok i know ain't nobody know about BF6 yet
but do you think a pc with a i5-10400f, GTX 1660 Super and 16GB 2666Mhz RAM will be able to run it?
Run it, probably.
If you want crispy visuals, no.
Because high graphics on regular pc on bf lately = death
what, no
we don't know much about bf6 but a 1660 should run it fine with high graphocs at 1080p
well shit
oh ok
How do you add more options to record in Nvidia highlights?
I feel like Battlefield 6 is gonna be even way more CPU intensive than BF5
Considering higher player counts and more detailed physics
8+ cores probably gonna be recommended
well fuck me then
You might be fine we're just gonna have to wait and find out
bf 5 used to run pretty smooth on low when i had an i5 8th gen and an mx150 lmao
I have high hopes that they wonโt disappoint me now
But from what I know about Battlefield, more players = more CPU usage
im already cpu bottlenecked like crazy in bfv
From what I have seen while playing Warzone with a full 150 player lobby
cpu usgae is only about 60-80%
majority of the times its at 70ish
Warzone is RAM heavy
Ohhh
yeah I have 16 gigs
Stuttery as fuck
true
Iโll be buying a new ssd when the next cod or bf comes out
have an empty slot
Battlefield games see great benefit from SSDs when it comes to loading into online matches
is BF planning to continue experimenting with their Battle Royales or they good?
When I played BF1 on a HDD it took 2 minutes to load into a match, with SSD it took like 15 seconds
would be nice to see a Warzone rival in a modern era battlefield settng
Need a modern era Battlefield to compete tbh
Yep
lmao true
I'm kinda hoping we won't get a BR mode
Cold War was kinda disappointing after one week
Steampunk WW2 ain't gonna cut it
Nothing against the game mode but it just doesn't fit Battlefield.
yeah youโre right
Once you quit Battle royales, you start to enjoy games a lot more lol
MW 2019 gameplay still doesn't feel as good as Battlefield 3/4 did
Battlefield 3 was very good
Battlefield just has the immersion of warfare for me
Kinda hoping for 64 vs 64 conquest but they will have to make some bigs map to make it good.
I wish Battlefield will also focus heavily on the storyline as well and not just online
I loved 4โs campaign
and 1
64 vs 64 players would be too hardware demanding unless they pull out heavy optimizations from under their ass
Not a fan of the singleplayer stories from the Battlefield franchise so kinda hoping we won't get a singleplayer and that they 100% focus on MP
Lol I dont think thatโs gonna happen
Sadly, it's it not but a man can hope.
if they wanna compete with COD they probably wouldnโt wanna cut out the campaign
MW 2019 was a big change to COD
has anyone played Homefront? I always thought that was the most well executed future tech game Iโve played
Black Ops Cold War feels like a 2015 game
sad that it never got an online
They can't compete with CoD's SP, if DICE wants to compete they will have to change some directions as the ''war stories'' are quite bad.
that was very bad
I love the BF franchise but DICE hasn't been able to make a good SP once.
I literally hated the BFV stories
Just my opinion of course
I love Bad Company 1-2 campaigns more than Black Ops 1-2 and Modern Warfare 1-3 campaigns
the sniper mission and the fighter jets part
The jet and tank missions are popular
Just my opinion of course
yโall should check out Homefront if you like alternate storylines and well executed future tech elements

Very useful for Ryzen 5000 owners, more performance with less power draw
pc dont use that much power
electricity is very cheap
you dont pay more than 400 euros every year for your pc power consumtion xd
AHHHHHHHHHHH
Less power draw usually means its more stable and heat effiecent
Not for electricity cost
Also in some countries people have to pay a lot for electricity
I live in East Texas, electric bill usually under $150 a month
since when does power draw have to do with it being stable?
efficiency is rather whatever too
a FRIDGE running 24/7 for a year is about 150 bucks to power it
Portable Bluetooth speaker I ordered
15 inch subwoofer
Charge lasts 6 hours at full volume
Why so big
I think big battery also have a big speaker to push out bass
Very loud also bass boost
its more to do with temperature than price
i just got the i-5 along with my new motherboard and case
everything else is from my old one: Ram Hard Drive and gpu
you should have upgraded to an ssd
guys why is my gpu only using 50-70% power on ultra 1440p in bf1?
errr cpu bottleneck?
i have a ryzen 5 2600x paired with rtx 2060super both overclocked
and 16 gb of ram (dual channel) 3000mhz
errr cpu bottleneck?
So looking at benchmarks for my PC on BFV i am supposed to get 100-110 fps but i get 70-80 fps
same config on the benchmarks too
So what settings are they running?
and your running on all low settings correct?
low preset yeah
and are you running in dx11 or dx12?
DX 11, tried 12 but it was stutters AF
What were the benchmarks running at?
Benchmark was in 11 too
Weird what is your pc setup?
Same setup basically but with 2667mhz ram
Itโs like a 2% difference though with that ram
And yes I know 2667mhz ram with a 3600 is a bad idea
Rx 570 4gb sapphire nitro +
Weird
Yeah idk what the deal is but thanks for helping
whats your vrm temps
since you oced your pc and not let it run on stock if it overheats it will push your oc down
and framerate will start going down
I recommend to remove your cpu overclock and gpu overclock as for it to go down seems like you might have done something wrong with ocing
Ah
but its still on 3000mhz
Maybe msi afterburner isn't setup correctly?
I have checked temps and they are fine, the performance does not seem to degrade over time even after a few hours of gaming
and i only did 4.2ghz on my cpu
maybe its the bottleneck?
There no bottleneck weirdly enough
i mean
the video i watched a guy had his gpu running at 97% with a ryzen 5 3600
and i have a ryzen 5 2600x
its a 2060 super correct?
a r5 2600 can run it fine
as the x is later model so your cpu is good but are you running it in dx12
no
dx 11
i tried both
like this shit is so annoying every game i play i get less fps than what i paid for
i also reset my windows
and it still didnt fix
did you ever update your drivers
Then I'm lost
rip
though I have one simple question whats your motherboards
b450-f
