heres an interesting situation, today my dads pc decided after you open a window (internet browser or folder) you can no longer left click on that new window
but you can open more windows from the desktop
by going to the task manager -> restarting the explorer.exe fixes it.. but after restarting the issue still remains
tried to uninstall the USB drivers and had windows reinstall on the next start up, but that didnt fix it
ran one of the cmd prompt "sfc /scannow" it found 1 error and fixed but that wasnt the cause either
and for some reason the system restore feature was turned off? thought that was on by default so i cant reset it to a previous version

hey guys, idk if it's a right channel for that but i gotta ask for my friend, We wanted to play some BF2042, he recently got 4070ti super (7800x3d for cpu) and now his game is at 40, maybe 60fps no matter the graphical settings. He sees the issue only in BF2042 but for some reason it works properly in GOW ragnarok.. Card/CPU usage is as usual, around 80%.... Any ideas? he didnt update the drivers that were released for 5000 series card launch

directx errors can be a symptom of the game or instability in the system itself, it's not particularly clear from either and other games can't be used as a (comparison) because different weights will cause cascading consequences

I don't know, directx errors are not a new problem, if you're using a game that has directx, aka every game in existence, then yes you run the chance of it occurring, it is certainly not a new thing in 2042 and has occurred since the game came out, it's about triaging problems, in the same way you can't compare battlefield to apex or valorant because they have very different requirements, they also have very different things to run at the same time
generally much heavier games will expose instability much more often (aka this franchise) than others

physx never truly worked properly in any game that implemented it, borderlands 2 assassins creed black flag etc all have issues with it
the reason is not due to Blackwell it's due to the CUDA toolkit, it has been warned for over a year that 32 bit support was being deprecated from 18.0 onwards (and was already being removed in parts), there is no reason why Blackwell should support something that isn't supported anymore

Might be in the low to mid end of reccomended specs. I plan on getting the next AM5 platform chips after the 9000 series really. From a 5700X3D that will be a huge upgrade.
