You can only lease it

oh no you need mcaffee to use the gpu

Have fun trying to game when it states the exe has a trojan horse even if you installed it on steam

The gpu will reserve a square on your monitor for ads
Nah man
When your loading waiting to go in-game, your getting all the ads
and also it is artifical because it already loaded
your watching the ads

It was a question
my 4070 ti oc is 12 gb, so yes
i think that's the 4070 default
to answer your original question that is apparently like, 3 hours old
lol
I really wish the monitor i want comes down in price significantly
Wait I thought these new intel processors were laptop processors.
Like those really weird ultra processors.
No, intel just changed their naming scheme
To something even more awful
Like what the fuck is the naming scheme now the original was simple you got the atom which was really low powered cores, pentium I dunno maybe desktop and mobile chips a bit more powered then atom and i3 for power efficient and a bit light weight gaming, i5 for you want to game but you want power to performance, i7 you want performance only and more, i9 you really want to game and need also a shitload of power
the original was not better
they changed it because it became a total mess with laptop SKUs and the i contention number meant nothing anymore
"a i5 means x" hasnt been true for some 5 odd years, its a outdated and incorrect view
only hurt their customers and the world, their bottom line doesn't care cause it isn't affected
we should all go back to ventrilo

2024 PC market is wild
console wins again
AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D reportedly featuring 4.7 GHz base and 5.2 GHz all core clock in Cinebench This might be one of the first leaks featuring AMD’s highly anticipated processor, the 8-core Ryzen 7 9800X3D. While a previous leak showed an alleged score from the Cinebench R23 benchmark, this one focuses on clock speeds. According […]
400 MHz higher all-core clock than 7800X3D
...good?
Console cpus are slower than desktop zen 2 from 2019
i5 i7 etc were just arbitrary segmentation within a generation, they didnt really mean anything
Zen 2 but very low cache and clocked low to the point it's as slow as desktop Zen+ 2700X
GDDR6 is slow when used as system RAM
At least its not Jaguar

They're the same architecture
rumors says next-gen Xbox and PS6 uses Zen 6 at the least, as well as RDNA5 or 5.5/6
For the cpu cores themselves anyway
Hope they wont make another XSS
Intel could compete with AMD in the console space tbh
they were selling their GPUs with very slight profits but that was heavily impacting revenue lol
lole you are noobs
How so
Would be quite a sight
I don’t they will for next gen
they absolutely do not lol
I downloaded windows 11 yesterday and it said that I want to play Directx function

What should I do?
cheap 7k series chips incoming because theyre about to be worthless?
not a big uplift, 7800X3D production was lowered
i really feel like i purchased mine at the right time
so like barely any difference
Maybe other things improved like temp and even lower power usage and maybe even higher 0,01% lows but thats hardly imaginable because the 7800x3d already been close to perfect

It's definitely not close to perfect
Taiwan saying only the 5090 is faster than 4090, 5080 is slower than 4090
5070 slower than 4080
600W
how can I see those extra fps through the tears caused by my power bill
what a joke lol
that kopite guy says otherwise, he says it's targetting '1.1x' over the 4090
his track record is really good so I have doubts on that report
5080 does have similar memory bandwidth to 4090 thanks to 30+ Gbps GDDR7, but has over 40% less cores/SMs
5080 could be better in ray-tracing and might have DLSS 4.0 exclusive on the new gen
no way it's faster in 3D rasterization
rasterization
This makes me think of Rastafari
nobody knows the specification's for Blackwell parts and anyone saying they do is lying to you, don't believe anything until AIBs start receiving information
anything until then is deliberate misinformation
Anyone know if 5070 with 12gb is factual? 🤔
Basically these specs
Nvidia will probably again flood their product line with way too many variants to confuse the customers
Will not be surprised if there's a 12gb, 10gb and and more
🙏 waiting for the evga 5070 to come out
They make as many GFX cards as Coca Cola these days
gfx is discontinued and not produced anymore
hasn't been for a while, the 4080 and 4090 are ceasing production aswell
Nvidia will never tell us how it's actually pronounced

@pale quartz question for my server, let say I turn it on, and then it boots but no picture as it is booting via the igpu so I turn it off and turn it on and it changes to the pcie gpu but then turning it off and back on leads to the igpu, why does the server act like this?
no idea too hard to say, drivers, probably
just disable the iGPU it's not that hard
I forget to mention, this is just the boot to bios
and bios either turn off the automatic change to pcie gpu or only igpu
and also when one is disabled, via bios the computer cannot detect the card or igpu
as I said I don't know, it's not my server, things can be finnicky and differ per board/bios etc
your card may not support elevation via the UEFI directly as priority, it could be firmware, it could be anything
Alright, understandable also, it is quite outdated so no uefi and also kinda a strange issue and I did check the basics of cmos being dead but that thing was 3v so it was fine
if you don't have UEFI then you're not going to be able to have a post image for the discrete card lol
It boots
I dunno about uefi or not and I was able to get a legacy bios pc to boot with an rx 570 4gb, cannot access bios but I was able to boot to windows
it's a rdna1 card so I wouldn't be expecting things to work anyways
you run the risk of problems with using defective architectures, is how it goes
Oh I forget to mention the server is using a quadro k2200
This was before I got my gaming pc, I believe it was a dell xps 410 that I found off a curb that just needed new ram sticks
RTX 4060ti 16Gb or RTX 4070.?
4070
I'll be ordering new Graphics card as my new PC parts will arrive next week so I want to know what is better and will get more Fps and will be enought for like 2 years..👀
4090
7800XT is also an option
Gimme the budget for it and I'll take it..
they are gonna release the 5000 series soon and hardware-lock some features
Just take out a small loan
430 eur atm
4070 Ti super

resolution?
1440p
4070ti s/4080 if you want to last 2 years
I have slighty higher budget that I was supposed to have so I'll look into it 👀
4060ti is a 1080p card and the 4070 vram size isn't going to be enough without getting close to maximum when pushing graphics options, so they're your 2 realistic options
And dont go AMD Radeon unless you want to be hobbled by constant hardware, software and driver issues.
hello jensen
I merely speak from personal, and support experience with Radeon GPUs. There is a reason they are cheaper, and as much as Radeon fans will try to convince you...its not because of the good graces of AMD 😁
super-heavy booster caught at the launch tower 🚀 https://youtu.be/lku8t7bXhDw
Can’t wait
Who doesn’t like getting shafted by papa Jensen?

AMD probably cant wait for Nvidia to announce what new features they will have, so they can spend the next 2-3 years copying and catching up 😄
I’m still paying way more for Nvidia, so either camp ain’t great anyways.
They're not even that cheap
battlemage pls be solid
battlemage is the final generation for intel discrete lol
dont be expecting any after

advanced crappy pasta
easiest block of my life
849eur, only 512gb. Feels like it only having an oled can't carry this. But they aren't in a position of making much of a loss like valve are
But I suppose the more competition the merrier
i bought a google pixel 8a with a screenprotector and after just 10 hours the protector started to let loose in one of the corners
Sounds like first world problems to me 😔
isnt everything here a first world problem
yeah who gives a fuck about the third worlds lol
Who moved to Poland?

But where did you come from
it doesn't matter

checkmate
they got their priorities set
Don't trust any AI thingies until a a common standard is set.
which wont be used by anything*
it's so lame lol
rdna3 "AI" cores are not used by anything on AMDs own stack, dont expect much from this
RDNA4 top end as an idea will match a 4090 and thats it
Upscaling
its not used by FSR

FSR is software based, only
they did say the next version could be hardware-dependent
wont do anything for reasons i have said before
So I’m hearing that AMD have useless AI in their chips for no purpose?
essentially yes
They can take advantage of that. But don’t
no theres nothing currently that can
AMD hasnt built any software which uses it, and people getting their hopes up are going to be disappointed
AMD move
games that are using fsr 3.0 or less are not upgradable by the user, which means 98% of current games are defunct even if they add it in a new version
defunct
defunct/unusable/redundant insert xyz word
That’s wild
So FSR 4.0 will split the gap
Like how Nvidia is with frame gen between 30s/40s card
Forcing people to buy new cards for better FSR
im trying to say it in a nice way what it means in lamens terms is people buying RDNA4 thinking they can accelerate fsr, cannot, they can only use it in games which use or have 3.1 (currently), and the amount of those games is well, fuck all
theyve already lost that war if you remotely care about upscaling theres no reason to buy radeon
I see but standard 3.0 and less works like normal.
yes
4090 had them good.
To far out of reach
radeon has no answer to DLAA, selectable models per game or anything of the sort, DLSS hasnt seen a significant update in a year and theyre still nowhere close
if the rumours are true then a 4.0 release is close
Prob what AMD is cooking.
But yea that’s true. Only true upgrade to DLSS is frame gen tbh
Rest is just improvements to raytracing and reconstruction
Should say DLSS as a whole
DLAA is the actual upgrade, since its the golden standard for AA solutions, there is no radeon equivalent for it
I see. My b
hiii
what cpu brand would yall recommend for an all-round low end laptop? intel or amd?
a laptop without dedicated gpu that is
just the cpu with igpu
for studying, graphic design, office work, and some games
not triple a games ofc
intel iGPU is often really bad
yeah, the only thing that i know is that ryzen igpu is a lot stronger
buuut
idk
since there are so many intel laptops at almost the same price as ryzen laptops, i thought that i might be missing something
or are these intel laptops equivalent to their ryzen counterpart overprized?
is their processing capacity similar? or does intel win by a lot in that regard?
id bet they are similar but idk
ryzen mobile cpus are usually better at power efficiency, that's crucial for a laptop
Ryzen integrated graphics these days is actually pretty good too
Just get a Ryzen one
okie
tyvm
also
now that im at it
does dual channel technology exist in laptops?
because a lot of laptops only have 1 ram slot
but there are some that have 2 slots so
if i get one with two slots and the ram modules occupying the two of them, would I get dual channel?
or is this not a thing in laptops?
Yes it always has existed
it is recommended to get one with two slots then if i get ryzen for the igpu performance i suppose
Buy more ram. Ez
Looks better
Thinks you’re using 32-bit windows lol
True
the answer is you might be depending on what you require, Ryzen iGPUs are inferior in terms of things like recording and do not feature staples that exist like quick sync, so it's not that easy to judge, you'll need to research the laptops specification by specification to identify your needs
I just need my laptop to stand beside me and play the Battlefield Heroes soundtrack over and over again
Hey anyone know how to fix battlefield 2042 restarting my pc after like a match or 2. When it restarts the screen stays black but the pc is on. Starting to think it’s the GPU or PSU since I’ve tried a lot of different things. I have a 2080 super and 750 psu
What is your cpu
Ryzen 7 2700x I believe
This is a really important question, when gaming does your pc fans start ramping really loud
Like, you could hear loud fan noises
I do hear my fans, maybe a cooling problem?
Like is it loud though
I meant like does it get louder when gaming, to the point it kinda sounds like a jet engine
Not really a concerning loud but they are audible even when not playing games.
Check your temps using msi afterburner
and see which part is heating up
Might be a cooling issue
Does your cpu hit 85c?
or go above that
I believe it’s in Fahrenheit
Yeah I believe so
Well, we found your issue
your cpu is overheating, the max temperature of a r7 2700x is 85c
You need to mess with the fan setting, or check your thermal paste application
I do t understand how every other game works fine though, including games with similar requirements
It’s only Ea games that does this
Your using more gpu then cpu
ea games use both
Like playing gta v, your not stressing out your cpu, the gpu is
but battlefield 2042, it uses both cpu and gpu more often
It is a simple fix though
Just check whether you applied thermal paste
Alright, thanks for the help
Did you get that pixel studio app? I'm using a apk version I patched myself but it's a pixel exclusive for a15
Pretty cool app, basically local image gen
its not done updating yet
ill check it out later
thanks
i love that the phone got 7 years of android updates and security patches
Good on apple for making the rest of the industry actually deliver on good OTA plans now
Samsung went from 2 to 5? And now they usually push major updates before Google lol
samsungs flagship phones got 7 year of support aswell ithink, to match google pixel
Oh damn you're right

Just 5 years ago, having more than 2 on android was considered a luxury, and now it's the bare minimum
it's easy to do years long updates with proprietary os
like ios and google with android
samsung must be an exception
it's not, just they didn't want to
every android phone, is from the AOSP which is what pixel gets, support is a choice, it's got nothing to do with if they can or not
really, I see now

Hey there, since BF2042 came out, I'm unable to play it without visual glitches like red / colorful flare lights spreading over the whole screen. Unfortunately, nothing I tried fixed the problem (DDU, Safe Mode, forcing DX12, disabling FreeSync, ...). I'm running an RX6800 non-XT (the AMD reference version) and it has no issues whatshowever, it's only BF2042
means your GPU is potentially dying
Run some gpu benchmarks
What other games tested do not show this problem?
Give exact names for comparative reference.
Guess we should just assume it was mine sweeper
512-bit is about a 30% increase in bandwidth over 384-bit
GDDR7 but the RTX 5000 series will use nothing faster than 32 Gbps afaik
I hear the 5080 will have faster 32 Gbps while 5090 has 30-31 Gbps
just like how 4080 had faster memory chips than 4090
why?
don't know the real reason but it might be to slightly fill in the major gap in memory bandwidth between 4080 and 4090
So... I builded my new PC but motherboard keeps blinking yellow.. Dunno what to do (I tried to Google it but no help / answer)
Motherboard manual should tell you what the lights mean
Nothing about it at all there..👀
What's your mobo?
Asus tuf gaming a520m
a520m-plus?
Yes

I checked everything but nothing helps..😩
what cpu did you put in it?
?
Ok let’s do something basic
Remove every non essential accessories and leave power supply and motherboard only with cpu fan as well
And ram
And turn it on, if it keeps blinking, remove one ram stick and put another one
And see if one works
AMD Ryzen 7 5700x3d
It's possible your bios version doesn't support it
Or not yet supported
Like it is an older bios
Might be time to buy a 2nd cpu temporarily @pallid grotto
No budget for it now after all this purchase...
Depending on where you bought the mobo from
You could ask them to update the bios for you
I have just discovered that the EA Anti Cheat has used up all of my storage space on local drive.
Yes, 100% it's the anticheat and not other files. 😜
Top fans in there too?
Yup, all the airflow 👀
5700 isn't that bad is it
Single fan on that cooling tower too smh.. should have 3 minimum
hm i regret buying a google pixel 8a, shouldve just gone for a samsung s24 instead. anyone wanna trade and i pay like 400euro inbetween?
why are you already having regrets
Cos the GPU in the pixel 8a is crappy
the camera and everything is better on s24
also google has decided to skip some features to the A series
for some stupid reason
the A phones aint that much cheaper, they should get all features
But he should've known that when Google has continously stated that they know and don't care
really?
ye we dont get low light mode in some apps etc like the regular pixel phones get
except the shutter lag
How about you broaden your horizons with other oems
oneplus 12 is quite interesting aswell
Still rocking my 8 Pro from launch
pixel?
Great phone, all I need is a new battery and I see myself using it for another year
Oneplus
oh i see
Nearing 5 years old now
That's dash charging, wait till you experience warp charging that's 90W
I like all the exclusive stuff too like the zen app
They peaked with their unique design around the 7 Pro
Honestly I can count on one hand how many times I used the selfie camera this or last year
so pop up is perfect for me.
But yeah, I'm just the tiny minority, so we had to regress back to puncholes

Not to mention the privacy benefit pop up has too
perfect world we got a screen that can turn transparent
and let u take a photo
then go back
Lol I remember the outrage around the 5? Wasn't it? Back design was basically the iPhone 7 Pro haha
Really? Here it's considerably less
And they do frequent promotions where they include free earbuds or cases
the 12 is 834 euro here
I remember when I got a trade-in offer of only £300 to the 11 from my 8 Pro, but didn't really want more from it at the time honestly
around the same price as s24
I still don't, camera is probably my only gripe and gcam is a decent solution I suppose. But apart from that, no complaints
Guess I won the panel lottery too because the launch models had issues with the display when you turned the brightness down very low.
i dont want oled on my phones to be honest, my latest phone got permanent burnins quite fast from overheating from running heavy apps
Well that's the base s24
The 12 competes in specs with the s24 ultra doesn't it?
Atleast, that's been their strategy since the 10
ye it got way more ram etc
ure trying to sell me into oneplus again
i should sell my pixel and get a 12
they may have 'settled' but they're still a damn solid company
ColorOS is a far cry from the old days of the 'stock' feel oxygen but it offers plenty of customisation and is snappy
oh no it's just a meme among the community
They still offer the alert slider and all that
cool
But they're alot closer than they were originally with Oppo.
They are Oppo
they always were a company created by them to expand into the west
They just did a damn good job at it that we never cared where they were from
what
ye
like contests
and the judges used oppos to say who won
not at all sponsored
lol

If you're worried about the camera, they made great improvements in that area after people complained lol
oh yeah, I use adguard dns for telemetry and that seems to block almost all of it.
cool
You could also try straight up removing it through adb, but some people have reported bootlooping, so not worth it.
There's always custom roms too, but play integrity has gotten alot stricter and ofc for security reasons it's not the best option either.
google pixel offers a free vpn to their users
Just so you know, the S24 series has worse camera lenses than the S22 and S21 series
ah, but i want the 7 year of support
Aren't they keeping the exact same arrangement for the s25 ultra?
but thanks for the input
Yeah, oneplus's 4 is measly in comparison
google also gives me 3 months of free youtube premium and extra cloud storage
I remember when they did that free bose headphones deal. People bought them, claimed the free headphones worth like $400 and then returned them lmao
No wonder they stopped doing it after 2 years
i remember when people would preorder games to get into the betas then refund the games
right after
lol
aye, that's still a valid tactic
The S21 Ultra has higher resolution and sharper colors in images taken with the rear camera. Colors looked washed out on the S24, likely to do with AI enhancements on newer phones
S24 has better front facing camera, that's it
hm
google pixel 9 apparently got underwater camera
that focus on underwater colors
yes, totally practicable in the real world
But does the pixel 9 have a water touch
Actual useful feature on the OP12
Allows you to use your screen just fine even in the rain.
Like magic. Honestly one of the features that's tempting me to upgrade.
for budget phones, the Galaxy A55 is a great choice at $300, also one of the longest lasting batteries ever for a Samsung phone
the a55 is like 500 here, but ye we have stupid taxes and stuff that makes everything more expensive
OnePlus 12 Rain Touch and Cooling System Unveiled
https://sparrowsnews.com/2023/11/30/oneplus-12-rain-touch-technology/amp
I hope more phones implement this
A55 with 8GB ram and 128GB storage is $280 here, 12Gb ram and 256GB storage is over $100 more
I hear OnePlus phones have compromised security
Source?
Last time I heard about this was with the 6
There is a small microchip in the phone , that explodes after 3 hours of on time. And takes your head clean off.

i went for the pixel 8a because 7 years of security updates. but samsung also got 7 years now so i shouldve taken that instead
Well tbf I guess you could say that oneplus nord phone had 'compromised' security
As in it literally exploded because it had the same issue the note 7 had

The 10 pro had a weak middle which could snap if you applied a decent amount of pressure.
11 had a small issue with fogged up camera lense. To my knowledge nothing wrong with the 12 though.
The former 2 issues were addressed on later revisions on the production lines
i remember this guy who would put every phone into a sturdy blender and see what harm it would do
i wonder if he still does it
does it blend?
Techrax?
I remember the comments on the videos: "why didn't you donate to Africa you asshole"

lol
OnePlus phones have an advantage of bringing the top flagship CPUs at a mid-range price, and you can easily install a ROM or a different version of Android
Yeah to my knowledge they're the only OEM other than Google that freely allow you to unlock the bootloader
And Sony.. but who cares about them
Everybody knows that the iPhone can make phone calls, play movies & music, surf the web, and a lot more. But, Will It Blend? That is the question.

Oh
Most Chinese-centered Android brands are worse for privacy than the alternatives. This includes OnePlus, Xiaomi, Realme, Oppo, Vivo, etc. If you're looking for the best privacy and security available on Android, I'd recommend getting a newer Google Pixel device and flashing it with Graphene.
Privacy in a mobile phone is more important than hardware
I mean if you want to fully degoogle then yeah graphene is good. But you lose out on all that functionality then
I guess microg would work then?
should i flash my 8a with graphene?
Graphene means you cut out Google entirely
ah
That's how it gets the name of being a totally secure OS
i dont really care if the us government get my info
I'm rocking a fork of crdroid personally rn
good rom
aslong as the us government wont sue me for using adblockers on youtube
its all good
lol
I'm eyeing the oneplus 13, 8 gen 4 benchmarks look too good to be true
can playing games that overheat the phone cause burnins on the screen?
burn-in happens from being too bright and staying on the same image or leaving screen on too long
heat might contribute to it
nah, the soc would throttle you down anyways.
phones are well equipped to handle it these days, unless you play excessively everyday
I know someone who had burn-in on a Galaxy S10 because they left a game running idle for all day lol
I do have burn in on mine, but it's from the status bar. Which only supports kristofer's point. Static element.

And I thought being able to see the tiny signal icon at all times if I look closely was bad
thats why i dont want oled on my phones
regular screens that are almost imune to burnins are fine enough for me
micro qled get decent enough blacks these days
I can only imagine how it would look on a 34in monitor or something.
Or a TV
,
one day I will I suppose
i have a qled tv and its blacks aint perfect like my brothers oled but its not bad at all
but today there are oled tvs with 5 year warranty
so if they get burnin after 3 year u just get a new
and u can keep doing that
lol
Just make sure you don't get one with Samsung
isnt samsung evo the ones with 5 years warranty?
someone said that if u keep getting burnins after 3 years after a while they have to upgrade you with the latest model of tv
cuz the older has stop being produced
lol
I meant their repair techs intentionally sabotaging tvs so they claim it was 'our of warranty'
oh
Though tbf only a few videos online of that happening, all in the US
If you get it through a retailer you should be fine
Personally I'd go for LG
wait evo is lg
not samsung
my bad
and they come with 5 years warranty
which is awesome
someone said that qled also can get burnins, but my tv came with a 10 year burn in warranty and claims to be burn in proof
well that's just not true lol
yes it absolutely can, phones are not good thermal insulators especially when the back is pressed against a material because it cannot dissipate heat and the screen will absorb the rest of it because it has nowhere to go
I used my friends S24 and it have great lens. Especially from a distance compared to iPhone. iPhone is good for portraits basically
all TVs can get burn in, there is no such thing as one that can't, burn in proof just means to what they are tested at for factory specifications, it's a technology limitation, not a (this xyz monitor can or cannot situation)
hard to find info on the comparison of cameras of 3-4 different generations but the real reason isn't the camera hardware but rather the SoC
Galaxy phones with Exynos chipset will have worse camera processing than SnapDragon
no it's not hard to find it's just not true, the lenses on the s21 are worse it doesn't matter if you're talking about exynos or snapdragon, support for rendering lowlight gray-scale is impossible on <s23 which is why images come out garbage as are numerous other things, you're just wrong sorry
the only case where the lenses are not an upgrade is between the galaxy z fold 6 and the s24 because the lenses are literally identical, there is no generation between the main S line where the cameras are not better in some capacity
common complaint with S24 Ultra camera is that pictures taken indoors are typically grainy compared to previous gens
maybe software optimization issue
there are always camera issues but this is not to do with the lens, it's because of how the image is post processed, it's happened in every cycle to some capacity since it was introduced
it's not hard to avoid the problem just capture in raw and there's no post processing anyways
I don't like it when my iPhone tells me to hold the camera steady for an additional 2 seconds after I snap the photo
but if I don't the image quality suffers
crazy that it has a camera stabilizer but still wants me to hold the phone as steady as possible
i found someone selling a s24 unopened box for a good price. what should i do with my pixel 8a tho
just can it?
i have the option to buy the phone right now in the middle of the night
should i do it or not?
before someone else does
or should i keep my pixel 8a
i respect the aesthetic
yellow phone, that's unique.
you do not see that everyday.
ye i like it
You'd think a phone camera would be decent 10 metres away!
Anyone have a .bk2 to mp4 converter?
Ffmpeg with libavcodec?
apparently they have stopped selling the 5800x3d
or are going to atleast
inb4 i can sell mine for a high price
anyone wanna buy my 5800x3d to the am4 system, a perfect upgrade if ure on a ryzen 3000 series, only 100euro more expensive than i bought it for!
nope
they stopped selling it because the 5700x3d is its replacement, so your 5800x3d loses value
Atleast the RTX Titan XP is cheap and still doing good
DLSS is good asf
i play all my games with dlss to 1080p even tho i can go higher
it looks almost as good as native
I just use 1440p with DLSS Quality
what gpu u got?
3080
ah
i used to play with dlss quality
but then i tried performance and got way better fps and it almost look as good
I could use balanced or performance. But I go for picture quality abit more
ye quality is a tad sharper and more detailed
I focus on low graphics, with a sharp image/picture
Never liked high settings personally
in every game iset texture quality to max
Same. It always go max or high setting preset
None of them are in production anymore afaik, there is just so many 5700X3D in inventory
its not to do with inventory its to do with bin, the 5800x3d is higher than (a 5700x3d), so its more expensive to keep around for benefit
i never sell anything,i just let my inventory collect dust. maybe i could sell my stuff for really cheap

I got my GPU back in April 2021 and played BF 2042 for the first time when it was part of the Xbox Game Pass. Since the first time I ever started the game, I had this issue. My GPU never had any issues till today, neither during gaming nor benchmarking. AMD indicated that there are driver issues with BF2042 ("targeted for Release 24.08.1"), but they removed this bullet point from their Radeon release note page when 24.08.1 came out....
All of the titles down below are what I regularly play / use. They all run without problems!
BF1, BFV, Assetto Corsa, SoT, Valorant, CS, CS2, NMS, Minecraft, Death Stranding, Astroneer, GTAV, Far Cry 5, Anno 1800, ETS2, Battlefront 2, Farming Sim 19 + 22
Creative software: UE5, Blender, Davinci Resolve
Benchmarks: Unigine Heaven, 3D Mark
I see. Have you also acquired the later Unigine Valley and Superposition as good measure?
its almost 24 hours since i pre-paid for the galaxy s24 , and the guy still havent posted the phone. good thing i used a third party secure payment that will return my money if the phone hasnt arrived in 7 days
gratz
is the delivery company gonna deliver the delivery?
lol
only if the package is properly delievered t othe delivery company that will deliver
and i think so
😄
its a sealed box with an s24 in it, only risky thing with it being unused is if it wont start for some reason
but it will come with warranty and reciept
so i guess its fine
Imagine it’s a fake
oof
S14, the 2 was a typo
i had that one
my ex had it aswell
i was amazed by it to be honest
i had an iphone and wanted to switch
It came a year after the S3
ah

it's fine no one really remembers it these days anyways
The Minecraft port on that was awesome, put so many hours into it
i bought minecraft during alpha and they promised us we would get every future version of the game for free
where are my story games for free?
Story mode?
Those aren't really versions
They're spinoffs
They made on their promise though, they even gave out windows edition when that was a thing for free to every java owner.
I didn't get my migrator cape though

They gave out exclusive capes to people like us who got w10 edition and 'migrated' to a MS account
the twitch and anniversary capes are cool enough I suppose
not the TikTok one though
damn minecraft was such a hit, its crazy
Best selling game of all time
, pretty insane
the creator won a bidding against jay-z and beyonce for a luxuary home
from the money
Yeah, he hosted parties with rich people for days in that home
I remember seeing tours of it and thinking that MS overpaid for Mojang
But now, it's clear they really made back on the investment
Minecraft is the best since day 1 of release. MS just made it better
Strap that boi in
That pc is heavier than me
sailors really living up to the meme
is that a coolermaster cosmos?
oh wait no it isnt
that case is too huge tho
or is it
damn im tired
Considered an “Ultra Tower”, funnily enough
if i were to buy a new case now it would probably be fractal design north with wood in the front tho

glad to see people still remember to shit-talk userbenchmark
Unfortunately google search results lead pc builders into a bunch of bad information on a particular website when researching which parts to buy.
What equipment do I use to make my videos?

Camera Lens: Sigma 16mm f/1.4 https://amzn.to/36i0t9t
Camera Capture Card: Elgato CamLink 4K https://amzn.to/3A...
i dont know about all this but just give me dlss and im happy
I assure you, the 8K textures and the high res audio flac files that take up 80GB alone are essential for the experience

True but like 90% of gamers just use the wired earphones that came with their old phone. I used to for a long time too.
YEAHHH :D

An exciting new case that is as cool as it is massive. This thing is designed to fit whatever you could possibly want inside!
even my most tired eyes are sharp enough it seems
and require expensive ssds
seriously, you want to play cod bo6 smoothly
$50-90
and also takes up like half your storage on a 1tb ssd

Very nice, dont mind your computer randomly disappearing, it was just me
AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D incoming MaxSun has listed the new CPU among the supported CPUs. Yes, it says Ryzen 9 9800X3D, but we have seen enough evidence (such as leaked packaging) to confirm that this is indeed a Ryzen 7 SKU. The 9800X3D has not been listed by any motherboard makers yet, but the series […]
4.7 GHz base clock for 3D cache is very high
doesnt intel clock way higher tho and they're still worse at gaming
clocks =/= performance in games
but but, bigger number go up ☹️
also if 9800X3D has 10-12% higher clocks than 7800X3D, that doesn't mean 10-12% higher performance
It usually really messes up some people when they realise that 5Ghz of one brand, generation etc. might not be as fast as 5Ghz of another brand, generation etc. 😄
Damn so gaming with nitrogen for the most highest overclock wouldn't give me a huge improvement
no
https://videocardz.com/newz/amd-preparing-new-ryzen-5-5600xt-and-5600t-processors-am4-saga-continues
AMD has (even) more AM4 processors But wait, there’s more. In July, AMD launched the Ryzen 9 5900XT and Ryzen 7 5800X3D, expanding the AM4 platform with more processors. The current lineup includes 20 SKUs in the Ryzen 5000 series alone, with many more in the 1000-4000 series. AMD clearly doesn’t want the AM4 platform […]

AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D tested in Cinebench R23 The first benchmarks come from Igor Kavinski. Later this week, AMD is set to announce its highly anticipated gaming CPU, the Ryzen 7 9800X3D. This is the first Granite Ridge CPU with an extra 64MB of 3D V-Cache. This CPU is a strong contender to become a […]
5.6 GHz all-core with PBO
which is like 600-700 MHz higher than 7800X3D with PBO
Show me real performance then i'll be interested
Then you'll see the price and realize it's not worth it for now
pictures have surfaced of a said to be 5090 from a factory in asia, could it be real?
its claimed to be a chinese dressed down version of it tho
Its a Zotac leak, so likely true...tho nothing here really tells us anything. 5090 existance was already known
idk why i get so excited for it, ill probably just get a 5070ti or something like that down the line anyway
i guess it makes it all feel more close
it's a real Zotac model

wouldn't be surprised if partners are testing 5090 with 4090 coolers
read this
they also have this to
https://www.techpowerup.com/gpu-specs/geforce-rtx-5090.c4216
Looks.. Just about how I expect it would look lol
But is it a global model or the China only D model
thats from this article
thats prob what people saw
heres the source they used
ZOTAC has confirmed that the card in the video is not 5090 but 4070 Ti Contrary to the video description, the card is not 5090 but 4070 Ti. ZOTAC has issued a brief statement refuting claims made in a video shared on Chinese social media. The company clarified that the graphics card being tested in […]
and i found this
okey
i didnt use any of those sites tho just for your info, and mine seem to have posted it earlier 👍
just did abit of googling. internet is there for a reason
As far I understand. They are not using the 5090 in any way
If they are making coolers for it. I’m kinda curious 👀
If they don’t have the card
wonder how much time AIBs have to develop their own coolers
i would like to see some spacecraft supercoolant material being used

why not hire elon musk to make spacex coolers to nvidia
I mean. Elon bought many server cards from Nvidia
nice
yeah Jensen said they worked 24/7 to set that up
everything is fast when you make your workers crunch as much as possible
suuuuuure, elon set them up himself
if i could embed i'd be rolling my eyes right now
thanks for the dividends Elon
I mean Elon bought them
He runs the show
He's a fucking joke
Think they were bought at a discounted rate?
this is more a testament to Nvidia than twitter than anything
the one thing they are good at is listening to their customers regardless of what the area is, hardware, software, where no others do in such a efficient manner
you can very easily get a hold of a manager at whatever division in Nvidia about a problem and they'll reply within the week, intel or AMD do not have that whatsoever
i want to remember an article claiming that nvidia is a software company mainly that happen to do hardware. idk how true that is tho
there is no such thing other than that's always been the case
Nvidia made CUDA, they pioneered software monetisation for things like subscriptions in cars, their hardware is just a vehicle for their software
that's what you and everyone else associates with Nvidia even without realising, DLSS, rtx hdr are all software based features
i guess that makes sense, but as a gpu costumer u look at their geforce cards and just take them for a hardware focused company
no, even during GFX they were a software company
Interesting, never thought about it like that before 🤔
you bought NV because there was no competitor to pascal in terms of software integration or game compatibility, and that's ultimately what it's about
that is still the case to this day its just more "depends what you want", the Nvidia brand has been about software since pascal more or less came out, some of those have been a failure like physx but the majority haven't, it's just so extensive nowadays that there is a subconscious association with them as an identity
the first gpu i bought myself was an old nvidia 9800gtx+, idk what that series was called, but yeah i get you
How did PhysX fail anyways, I never heard about it again after control
Which implemented it brilliantly, might I add
just a decades old tech that nobody really cared about to do well, it didnt work on other gpus so that was a contributing factor
wasnt physx somehow forced in the first or second mirrors edge, and it made people without it unable to play for a while before they fixed it
huh? I never heard of it in those games
Or if it was it the implementation must've been nowhere near as good as Control's
they didnt go overkill with it, but it was used to move clothings and shatter windows and other stuff realisticly if i dont remember it wrong
Nvidia does have their shit together. Early Nvidia was very roughy for them starting out.
Intel Core Ultra 9 285K put through extreme testing According to new screenshots shared on social media, the Core Ultra 9 285K will consume between 360-370W when fully unlocked. This power draw can be observed during a multi-core Cinebench R23 test, with all P-Cores locked at 5.6 GHz and all E-Cores running at 3.9 GHz, […]

hey its not called ultra for nothing...

On mad copium rn
Lunar Lake destroys it lmao
Maybe they shouldn't have priced their laptops at $1000+
Take the L and improve next time
lol i just got my s24 and it seems fine but after watching videos of perfect copies who are even more powerful in some scenarios im getting paranoid and want to have it checked out at a store
I mean it is exynos
only the ultra has snapdragon everywhere
Holy shit you need more than a thousand watts
God damn, for what

AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D launches November 7th No Ryzen 9 9950X3D in sight. On November 7th, AMD will launch the Ryzen 7 9800X3D. We now have a new high-resolution image of the packaging, which fully matches the previous leak. The key detail is that the box says Ryzen 7, and no other Ryzen X3D box […]
2nd gen V-cache, didn't know that Zen 3 and 4 used the same V-cache
release next month? pog
Wonder if it's better than 7800x3d 🤔
Probably barely.
That CPU like still top tier vs newer ones
The only people that will be getting it are people that are moving on from am4 / making new computers like Cats and I.
We'll see I guess 🤷
newer gen of 3d v cache so it should be better right?
Maybe?
We'll see when it arrives.
It's probably the start of something new that allows for improvement.
Like a gen 11 gen 12 intel situation.
I'm still thinking of getting the 7800x3d because it's priced appropriately, and probably will be at a discount when the newer ones are out
I mean, if it's worth I could get new one now though 🤷 just upgraded to AMD and the am5 platform
Where gen 11 was really bad but gen 12 was significantly better.
Price trends making it more expensive. Honestly you may as well make the decision when it's out.
i hope not i just bought it
The more important part being what's the cheapest while providign the most power.
Honestly.
Even if the 9800x3d is any better you still have a really good CPU.
Ya ya ofc
7800 top tier though, so don't worry too much I'd say 😜
yeah but i still wanna have "the best cpu for gaming"
5000X3D and 7000X3D use 1st gen V-cache while 9000X3D series uses new 2nd gen, it could be a significant change
anything would still be better than intel
It could definitely be the start of something good.
Skill issue just get one of the bins that's not fucked up
It's annoying because I'm expecting something better than whatever the hell the 9000 series was.
Funny enough in that case 7800 still probably the best actually 🤔 I am surprised it even beats newer ones at times
9000 series is just generationally bad.
It's good to get into but not to upgrade straight away to.
Ngl i wanted to buy 9750, but then I realized it would be money wasted. Mostly thinking outside gaming then, I wouldn't need the extra cores and CPU power
I had i9900k and in terms of CPU power that is all I needed, but sadly it was not so good for gaming. 7800x3d is faster and bretter for gaming
i had an option to buy 9750 for a cheaper price than 7800x3d but like why would i buy a cpu thats worse for gaming (like the only thing i do on my pc) so i just went with 7800x3d
7800x3d would be best choice for most people tbh, specially gamers
Unless you doing a lot of creative work that needs decent cpu
Mostly just means less waiting time
i heard once that more cores is better for strategic games
idk if thats true
but if it is that would mean 9750x3d would be better for like hoi4 or something
7950x3d isn't really worse for gaming now. It was at its launch, due to scheduling issues. But those have largely been resolved now.
Plus if you could get it cheaper, why wouldn't you? You can just disable CCD1 and essentially have a higher clocking, better binned 7800x3d
i didnt know about any of that stuff 2 months ago when i built my pc
Makes sense, fair enough
7950X3D can be configured to where games use strictly the V-cache CCD or you can disable the other CCD
7950X3D V-cache CCD clocks about ~200MHz higher than 7800X3D
As long as you use balance power plan, with game bar enabled, it automatically does this.
if you disable the non-3D CCD on the 7950X3D it becomes a binned 7800X3D
maybe not that simple
Genre of games don't matter one bit tbh. For me personally the 7800 seems all I need for now, thinking creative stuff. For gaming this basically top tier anyway, also if you don't want to bother installing drivers ect. I know the other ones needs drivers and software to work their best
Oh so they've fixed that have they?
The 7950x2d
3d
LOL
X2d more l2 cache
yes but in strategic games it has to generate a lot of stuff at the same time like wars in asia when youre playing in europe
or something
X1d more l1 cache.
I'll wait for the 9950
to be the bearer of bad/good news it won't be worth an upgrade
yes and no it still happens, cross ccd traversal is the main problem which still occurs to this day, it's not a processor actual consumers can buy unless you know what you're getting yourself into
disabling a ccd is rather pointless because there are games which prefer frequency and in that situation you just made obsolete (a reason) for the purchase
to those asking if it will be worth buying when you have zen 4 the answer will definitely be no
My GF has a 5800x and is considering getting 9800X3D
wonder if Zen 6 is truly coming to AM5...
AM6 platform will probably come out at Q4 2026, 2027 at the latest
AM5 won't have the same longevity as AM4 did
I wonder if the fold will ever use the snapdragon 8 elite.
when will Qualcomm stop with the name changes
Broke down and bought the Asus Rog Ally X. Seems to be the "best" handheld currently. Looked at the OneXPlayer, and it's $200 more for the same performance and storage. Steam Deck is just simply underpowered. Lenovo Legion Go seems nice, but battery life on a bigger screen just simply isn't there. Every other Chinese knockoff is pretty much the same thing (AyoNeo, GPD Win etc.)
"Z1 Extreme APU" Spoken AMD 7840u with a 780m
Having an eGPU would be nice. Lots of "on the go" 7600 USB C docks out there, but might be a little cumbersome for my deployment. Pretty much just going to turn the ROG Ally X into an emulation handheld anyway.
I think you mean gave in?
broke down implies something bad happened.
Have they fixed the sd card issues?
Sort of did....Having to make this deployment afterall when I'm supposed to transfer in January. Got told today that I'm making the full deployment and to plan for that.
Oh damn
Well the ally will keep you company fortunately

Looks like the perfect emulation handheld if you can afford it
As far as SD Card issues, can't speak to that. But seems like the Ally X is a much improved version of the OG Ally. Specifically battery life. Increased memory too seems to help as well.
Seriously the fact that you can play ps3 games on the go still wows me
I mean even if does kill battery, it's still very nice to have that in a handheld form factor

The only thing that is a little funny/ironic to me is that it's a 1080 120 hz display. Pretty confident other than emulating (at least retro emulation) there isn't a modern game that can ever fully utilize that resoultion and refresh rate. Not at 30 watts of power draw.
Unfortunately handhelds just quite aren't there yet in terms of power. The APU's are simply just underpowered to take advantage of modern AAA gaming. Waiting on Ryzen Zen 5 handhelds to see what happens with those. But gotta take what I can get right now
But yeah, for emulation, seems to be spot on.
I've caught myself saying switch deck when talking about the steam deck as it's essentially the same thing but more powerful.
Or in better words. More flexible.
https://videocardz.com/pixel/nvidia-ceo-confirms-there-was-a-design-flaw-in-blackwell-chip-now-fixed
Jensen admits the flaw was 100% NVIDIA’s fault Blackwell chips did have a design flaw, it sparked a busy period at NVIDIA. NVIDIA announced its first products based on the Blackwell architecture in March, but just a few months later, reports surfaced that the company was facing a problem with the architecture. At the time, […]
Someone said they use AI to help design architectures
God I hope that's not true
they dont
How would that even work
It wouldn't
free FSR 3.1 for everyone essentially
nope
directSR needs to be implemented in games and similar to fsr this is a new SDK version
I see. What about Nvidia’s DSR?
Or that’s different since it’s Nvidia’s software based?
so i got a screen protector installed on my new phone by a phone store and its perfect other than theres a tiny dot of dust or something, in the size of a single pixel at a bottom corner, do i learn to live with it or go and complain about it?
diff, NV DSR isnt the same
I see
i kinda would feel bad to have them get an enitre new thing just for a tiny dot, but idk

Intel is practically 2 generations behind AMD now lmfao
285K is slower than 13700K

This is worse than Rocket-Lake
Wait what the ultra something something and didn’t it use a shitload of power?
Bruh
Intel must have lost the good engineers
I mean, it is alot more efficient though no?
Like zen 5. Though alot of people expect performance improvements with each new gen release I suppose

not really, it pulls more power through the ATX 24-pin cable for some reason, which increases system instability
seems like software bug

also power draw spikes

I can't go back after going oled on mine
