5 hours? Should not take that long, specially if you just watch the 2 min video on how to install it, but good to hear. RPM is how fast the fan spins, will depend on the temperature of the CPU if you have set it up correctly. The Dark Rock Pro 5 fans go up to 3000 RPM according to their specs.

If your CPU is constantly at 100%, and gpu usage low, this is the reason. Either find a way to reduce cpu usage, or upgrade to a better cpu

at least competent ones that worked, but not anymore, and they don't particularly care about it now either

they were at least competitive where it mattered, but there's no reason for a consumer to consider them anymore for more or less any reason, even on price

when Lovelace was revealed nobody had any idea to the extent that AMD would somehow get worse from that point forward, they aren't a company which can reliably make a product which isnt compromised to the end consumer

it's just about what the consumer has to worry about, I can't in good conscience advise any person to buy a Radeon card in the knowing there's a decent chance 6 months later some of their games will stop working due to a driver issue in a similar manner to I can't recommend anyone buying a 13/14th gen processor due to them potentially having one that's dead due to a defect

don't think there is much IPC gain or performance-per-core over RTX 4000 series, though rumor says 400-500 MHz higher clocks, which means 3 GHz for the 5090 lol

5090 is gonna be a big step over 4090 mainly because of higher memory bus width and new GDDR7

also more cores but I don't think it will be near as many as the full chip, the 4090 had 128 SMs instead of the full 144, and they never made a 4090Ti with more cores
