As my job changed I don't need THAT much space on my personal computer and have had some hardware issues that was a pain to troubleshoot in my hardware filled case - so my Black Friday computer simplification project has started.

Bought a 4TB SSD which I'm waiting to arrive, in the meantime I've removed 4 old non-nvme drives from my computer, an RGB controller, RGB fans (replaced by black Noctuas), the attached power+sata cables, the USB hub that was required to run the RGB etc. . Now the computer is soooo much simpler to manage. Less RGB but ¯_(ツ)_/¯

just downclock the memory frequency by 66/133 until you get POST, there will be no performance penalty

ye i had a x570 motherboard but it broke and when i checked its price for a new it had doubled in price. so i went for a b550

I have a 1440 p wide panel, so it's basically 2 x 1440p which is hard enough to run with the games and hardware as it is now at 144FPS. I ofc. want 4k but will have to wait.

it isn't so much about being able to hit it, it fundamentally doesn't matter, OLED is just much, much better than LCD for transitioning, so it can do it

which is why LCD panels are dead in the water for "advancements"

lg got oled tvs with 5 year burnin warranty now, if that applies to pc monitors aswell it might be time to start looking for one
