Disclaimer: This is from someone who is rank 100, has completed all the weapon and class challenges, and has years of BF experience since BF 2142 (2006). It is my own opinion based on data and playtesting.
All guns B tier and up are competitive. Tiers B-S merely distinguish the quality of a weapon's purposes to a degree:
S tier: This is divided into 2 sections. Section 1 includes some very hard guns to use, but they specialize in what they do. Section 2 includes some of the simplest guns in the game.
A tier: all-around solid guns that are easy to pick up and play.
B tier: These are fantastic at long ranges. These are some of the easiest guns to use in the game.
Snipers: These roughly perform the same. The main difference is that each has a different sweet spot range where it kills in 1 shot to the body. The mini scout is the best sniper if you land headshots.
Best attachments:
-angled grip or ribbed stubby (other grips are viable for less recoil for an accuracy compromise)
-blue laser improves ADS accuracy (green laser is viable for hip fire builds)
-suppressors (brakes are still good, it's super gun specific)
-Extended/heavy extended barrel (you can opt to use other ones for play style preferences or need to keep costs low)
-3x-5x magnification sights on LMGs are recommended. These are also solid options on ARs for longer-range maps
-extended mag (certain weapons like the SCW and KV9 need these)
-Use the range finder attachment on snipers and go to your settings. Bind the range finder button to the same button as your firing button.
-bipod for can allow you to mount in prone. Good for certain playstyles, especially some lmgs
Consider frangible/synthetic tip ammunition on these:
3 body shots become 2 headshots:
NVO, RPKM, SOR 300c, M240 L, TR-7, AK4d, M417A2
Dmr becomes a one-shot headshot:
SVK 8.6
M250 disclaimer: This gun is decent in many categories, but has exceptional range. This can deal 25 damage at any range, making it lethal in those scenarios. At long range this weapon is S tier. M277 is similar in that its 25 dmg range lasts about 50 meters, but it is much harder to control.

they do that to remove instant kills for fully plated people.
The idea being that in a BR, you build up resources and such and so getting insta killed would really suck. as such, headshots do up to about 175 headshot damage, which is enough that you can coordinate with an ally to effectively insta kill, or can soften them, or can 1 tap them if they dont have both plates fully up
but if sniper rifles could reduce TTK to 0 in the BR, they would likely be too overpowered

well sure but so are many other aspects of weapon and gameplay balancing. In reality, the machine gun on vehicles would be much more powerful, bullets would go through most walls, headshots would 1 tap for most weapons if hit in the face, with helmets only stopping intermediate/high caliber rounds from a few hundred meters away. full auto recoil would be much more significant for higher caliber rifles, grenades would be much slower to throw, you wouldnt be able to hold as much kit, you wouldnt be able to run around as much due to fatigue, you wouldnt heal from your injuries, taking damage would cripple limbs, etc. etc.
the point being a lot of things are just a bit stupid, but they are like that for.. mostly good reason

Disclaimer: This is from someone who is rank 100, has completed all the weapon and class challenges, and has years of BF experience since BF 2142 (2006). It is my own opinion based on data and playtesting.
All guns B tier and up are competitive. Tiers B-S merely distinguish the quality of a weapon's purposes to a degree:
S tier: This is divided into 2 sections. Section 1 includes some very hard guns to use, but they specialize in what they do. Section 2 includes some of the simplest guns in the game.
A tier: all-around solid guns that are easy to pick up and play.
B tier: These are fantastic at long ranges. These are some of the easiest guns to use in the game.
Snipers: These roughly perform the same. The main difference is that each has a different sweet spot range where it kills in 1 shot to the body. The mini scout is the best sniper if you land headshots.
Best attachments:
-angled grip or ribbed stubby (other grips are viable for less recoil for an accuracy compromise)
-Blue laser improves ADS accuracy seemingly even when still. The buff when still might be a bug. (green laser is viable for hip fire builds)
-suppressors (brakes are still good, it's super gun specific)
-Extended/heavy extended barrel (you can opt to use other ones for play style preferences or need to keep costs low)
-3x-5x magnification sights on LMGs are recommended. These are also solid options on ARs for longer-range maps
-extended mag (certain weapons like the SCW and KV9 need these)
-Use the range finder attachment on snipers and go to your settings. Bind the range finder button to the same button as your firing button.
-Bipod can allow you to mount in prone. Good for certain playstyles, especially some lmgs
Consider frangible/synthetic tip ammunition on these:
3 body shots become 2 headshots:
NVO, RPKM, SOR 300c, M240 L, TR-7, AK4d, M417A2
Dmr becomes a one-shot headshot:
SVK 8.6
M250 disclaimer: This gun is decent in many categories, but has exceptional range. This can deal 25 damage at any range, making it lethal in those scenarios. At long range, this weapon is S-tier. M277 is similar in that its 25 dmg range lasts about 65 meters, but it is much harder to control.

Operation Firestorm Conquest and laser the air units mainly then tanks and such. Most of the time someone is on the IFV with an aim guided rocked equipped. That's the easiest way I can think of off the top of my head.

I so desperately want a sequel to 2142 that reintroduces the titan game mode with even more new unique game modes for the BF franchise. I feel like sci fi shooters that are grounded enough like 2142 have the opportunity to innovate the fps genre with new mechanics and ideas.

All guns B tier and up are competitive. Tiers B-S merely distinguish the quality of a weapon's purposes to a degree:
S tier: This is divided into 2 sections. Section 1 includes some very hard guns to use, but they specialize in what they do. Section 2 includes some of the simplest guns in the game.
A tier: all-around solid guns that are easy to pick up and play.
B tier: These are fantastic at long ranges. These are some of the easiest guns to use in the game. The last 3 guns offer large mags making reloading less of a concern.
Snipers: These roughly perform the same. The main difference is that each has a different sweet spot range where it kills in 1 shot to the body. The mini scout is the best sniper if you land headshots.
Best attachments:
-angled grip or ribbed stubby (other grips are viable for less recoil for an accuracy compromise)
-Blue laser improves ADS accuracy seemingly even when still. The buff when still, might be a bug. (green laser is viable for hip fire builds)
-suppressors (brakes are still good, it's super gun specific)
-Extended/heavy extended barrel (you can opt to use other ones for play style preferences or need to keep costs low)
-3x-5x magnification sights on LMGs are recommended. These are also solid options on ARs for longer-range maps

damn thats pretty good, espacially those frag kills lmao. I see you def arent hitting every shot at far distances but arent whiffing your entire mag either. noticed it the most when u shot at the 2 guys between the storage containers. although idk if i wouldve been able to kill them much faster while full autoing even with my classic vert build

yeah with how jumpy the tr7 is even with a full recoil build id rather opt for more bullets (i really only engage long distance if im in a much better position than my target, otherwise i just reposition for close-mid range)
