Marking the profile database files as "read only" will stop them from being reset.
Set your profile changes and save them.
Go to C > Nvidia > ProgramData (or C > ProgramData > Nvidia Corporation) and search for "nvdrsdb" without the quotes.
Locate the two ".bin" files (nvdrsdb0.bin and nvdrsdb1.bin), right-click and mark them as "read only."

Personally i think 2042, while having lots of flaws has a good concept, a fresh take on a way the game plays, and the freedom to play any role with specialist acting as a way to help guide you in your role ,so with with angel (best specialist) you can fill in any role needed for the job because of his loadout drop. It was killed due to the toxic feedback, and was practically on life support after that, and the lack of updates pulled the plug...

Well I’m speaking in terms to people actually doing their roles (medic, supply, etc) filling in gaps across the map in terms with operation locker. I played daily since 2017-2020 and often times it was the same people 200+ people mostly. Most people understood the perks of supporting your team.

I just noticed whenever people aren’t doing that their team loses and their kills or score are far lower. Just my observation

Then the team just have each other’s backs. Sounds corny but it’s just an observation from all the matches I’ve played today

Just a vet tip if you play bf5, for the assault class, you can reload the panzerfaust and bazooka faster by unequip and re-equip as soon as the ammo indicator reaches 1

Very helpful for the bazooka especially considering its long ass reload animation

In a sense your just cancelling the other half of the animations just to shoot faster

if your settings are too low you will get a CPU bottleneck and the game will stutter

I would like to think so... BF5/BF1 desperately need some proper anti cheat system though. No EAC/punkbuster/no "real" community hosted servers with admins in BF5 -> Rage hackers can do whatever they want. Report one, two others will show up, or create/steal their next account. In BF5 Dice could at least add the community servers with standard settings to the quick play queue. This way you could actually seed them and kick hackers. As it stands now, you open a Breakthrough server, sit there for 5 minutes, nobody will join, you close it again.

They could also add bots to BF5/BF1 to help fill up servers or allow people to simply enjoy the atmosphere/beautiful maps. I mean they were talking about a "battlefield universe". The older games are definitely part of it, aren't they?

There's pros and cons. Artillery hits the target not too long after you call it in, giving enemies less time to get to cover, and it also costs less than half as much as one V-1 (17750 for artillery versus 41500 for V-1). However artillery doesn't have as big an area of affect as a V-1, and also has a harder time hitting enemies underneath cover, unlike the V-1 which can.

I prefer having enemies scatter, rather than get the kills, so I can capture an objective. And I can call in more artillery than V-1s. So that's why I always go for artillery.

Hey, sorry for not getting back to you earlier! There are a few servers for Conquest and Frontlines. I mainly play Operations or Frontlines, so I can't tell you, if the Conquest servers are ok or not, but there are of course far less to pick from compared to a game like BF4 (4 or 5 in Europe). There are unfortunately no community rented servers for Operations, which is the signature game mode of BF1. An "oldfashioned" third party server program would be the easiest solution for the hacking problem.

To be fair thats if you play on DICE servers, while it doesn't solve the issue at hand with dice themselves cracking down on cheaters. You could just play on the robot managed servers with active admins to avoid hackers. Whenever i play BFV this is what I go for. The ping can be dogshit and the rules set on the servers are questionable sometimes this is the best alternative for both player count and cheaters overall.

You're welcome, keep in mind while its pretty easy to find a server on bf1 depending on you time zone you will be exclusively looking at the server browser. Its almost impossible for me to find full servers for NA if i use BFV's quick search

Unfortunately the only community servers that are active in Europe are HC, which I am not interested in. I tried to open my own server many times, but of course no one will join a 1 out of 64 Breakthrough server - or even check the community server section. For Frontlines it worked sometimes, but as soon as people can't protect their KD they will leave, which leads to lopsided matches, which leads to even more people leaving - without refill from Quick Search. Adding bot backfill + Quick Search to BF5 would allow me to open a server, and play for a while, with more people joining the server.

Are you opening up your region in the community browser? I don't know how it works in terms of other platforms but for me on pc you can set from the different regions around the world. Im in the same boat for the most part there aren't any servers for NA most of the time so I have to focus on other regions to get play time in(mainly due to the fact that servers in NA don't get filled until mid day)

In Europe there are still plenty of players, so I am not willing to play on 150 ping admin protected Japanese servers. I appreciate the suggestion though. Dice simply has to take care of their product and bring at least Easy Anti-Cheat to BF1/BF5, now that BF 2042 has it. Haven't seen anybody with a speedhack, healthhack etc. in BF 2042 (so far...). At least the most blatant nonsense would be stopped by this anti-cheat solution.

If you've seen enough cheaters, you can reliably tell them apart from good players. Unless they are good and cheating at the same time. Then it gets difficult. But yeah, those low level sniper gods are a good meme. ^^
