right the ping is denoted in download speeds from your PC...but with server side net code the server sends all clients info at the same speed (about 5Mbps) so if you are a ways off you seem to have a good ping but it takes a long time to get packets to you

There is range and speed differences. Smaller knives have lower dmg but faster and wider animations. Larger ones like swords have higher dmg but slower animations. Just like bf1.
But everything is a one shot kill if hit from behind or up close.

I feel that sentiment, There's nothing consistent just some of the guns I stay with for a short period.
I'd personally main the Model 8 Extended since it has a good fire rate and generally a nice weapon for aggro medics. Selbstlader 1916 can be used if ranged is desired.
Though the Farquad hill is a nice spam cannon too. Hell, I'd say go Fedorov optical if you have it. Not a bad gun.
Kinda why I prefer 5 since the weapons you pick remain consistent.

i feel like the howell automatic with an AA sight could be really good to spam as well
