Frances army at the time was like the biggest in Europe. They lost bc tactics. They also had a massive colonial empire.
70% ww2 casualties were on the eastern front bc it was the most harsh front. You're fighting in snow. The germans were not properly equipped for snow. The Russians used zerg tactics from starcraft and didn't give their soldiers weapons half the time.

That's German propaganda, mostly comes from post-war memoirs written by German officers to make themselves look as good as possible. The Red Army used conventional field tactics just like everyone else, the human wave narrative is more or less an exception that proves the rule.
On top of that, it wasn't the snow that was necessarily the issue for the Germans as much as it was the logistical nightmare that came from the extreme mud that formed once all that snow melted, coupled with overextended supply lines in an already short on supply military

Strategically, yes. Paris was/is pretty much the beating heart of France, whereas Moscow was, strategically speaking, much less so. Still an important city, but where France had zero chance of continuing as a standing nation once Paris fell, all the Soviets would've suffered a bit of a symbolic loss. Like I said, the Soviets would have just retreated a bit further, and once Germany inevitably ran out of steam, practically waltzed back into the city.
Not saying Moscow isn't important. It just wouldn't have been a war-ending loss had it fell.

This means that comebacks from a losing team is near impossible because the winning team is still constantly getting points as long as they have at least 1 flag. This is on top of kills.
Meanwhile, other Battlefield games bleed tickets/respawns based on which team has the majority of flags (aside from kills). That means a losing team has a change to make a comeback by stopping the ticket bleed if they can hold the majority of flags long enough.
