@crystal atlas first your issue with buttons not responding that way there set in your controller settings would be a Sony on a windows PC make sure your PC is recognizing it as dualshock 4 not usb/Bluetooth controller, also I this default controller mapping on PC is set to legacy when it goes from keyboard/mouse to controller ... Depends on what you are trying to improve.
-Learn how spread works in Battlefield 1. For example, the faster you fire the more bullets spread, even when during ADS. The reverse happens with LMGs, where the spread lessens the more you fire.
-Being suppressed adds spread to your aim. Meaning it might be a better idea to hide in cover instead of engaging enemies that are far away.
-Change sensitivities and aim assist if you are playing on consoles.

In Battlefield 1, yes. But only when you ADS.

Also, when transitioning from hip fire to ADS, you should stop firing, wait for the ADS transition to finish, then fire again. That will keep the spread smaller.

If you fire while you transition to ADS, then the hip fire spread will transfer over too, making your aim really bad.

In Back to Basics, I guess you have to make sure you're not suppressed so you can actually land your shots.

And obviously make sure you have good aim. I personally do not use aim assist on consoles because it screws with my muscle memory.

On Shanghai you can use the highest roof with the elevator to kill enemies on the roof with a bipod. On Zavod you could go in the tunnel and hold that. And Golmud I'd focus my attention on the top two northernmost objectives, take a roof

Generally speaking you want to aim for places where there is a cluster of 2 objectives or more

The Zavod tunnel is best example of that

The one-hit kill range is when the scope stops being blurry. Also note that if you press the hold breath button, the blur goes away regardless if you're in the one-hit kill range or not. Likewise, if you see a rainbow glint, then that means an enemy sniper has you in their one-hit kill range.

I was playing yesterday and we spawncamped the enemies base in 3 minutes

3 MINUTES

By the 3 minute mark we’d captured every objective on Suez

Luckily they broke out of spawn with armoured cars and we had a fair game but it’s actually way too common that they don’t

One annoying thing about battlefield are the anti aircrafts literally you spawn In go one cm from spawn and ur being shot at
