It's a great anti-vehicle weapon imo, and a great short range sniper. It's a 1-hit on anything below 75 meters. However beyond that it's kinda meh, only useful for hitting vehicles which are big targets anyway.

It's not really the fault of BF4 imo. BF4 has been out for what, 8 years at this point? most people who play it are veterans who know how the game plays inside out so they dominate all the time.

BF4 is still loads of fun for me. I finally hit rank 140 within a few minutes before or after early access for 2042 started. As long as you can find a competent set of teammates/squadmates (which is what you’ll mainly find these days, at least on Xbox, on account of the fact that it’s mostly veterans of the game playing, rather than people who got it recently in a Road to Battlefield giveaway), it’s great. The flipside is that you do have a lot of people who’ve played that game into the ground, and know every little exploitable thing, from overpowered weapons, predictable recoil patterns, to glitch spots where people can hid inside walls (thankfully, there aren’t a lot of those—I only know of two commonly-exploited ones—their locations are well-known, and server admins don’t take kindly to their being used). So, playing against them can take some of the fun out of it (especially if they’re in an attack helicopter on Gulf of Oman) but it’s still very enjoyable.

BF4 is a stable and mature game, and that’s one of its biggest assets.

Meanwhile, I still play like a noob... I’ve just put tons of hours into the game and never really improved. Would probably still fit best in the noob servers, honestly, if playing without my usual squad.

I’m decidedly average as a combatant. Don’t ever trust me to drive a tank well, haha (though I’m certainly better than some)... My specialty is support roles, like medic, repairs, spotting for a sniper while feeding them ammo, and turret gunner on vehicles (I’m a beast with a .50 cal; my max killstreak is still a match from Xbox 360 when I got over 100 kills on a friend’s .50 cal turret without dying, while also keeping the vehicle repaired; I think that was on Golmud). Had a look at my old Xbox 360 stats. I switched to Xbox One at rank 120, and my skill and SPM are virtually identical (like one point of difference, and I think it went down), despite it taking literally just as much time and score to get from 120 to 140 as it took to hit 120 in the first place.

BF2042 feels digital. Graphics is like a comic. For me its a dissapointment. Especially because release has been delayed to finalize it and make it a stable product. Its a joke at this state. Crashes, Performance on 6700k /2080RTX at 1080p is subpar and only maps with 128 Players and vehicles. No close quarter fights except on Portal with old titles recylced. Battlefield = Betafield. Period
