In V, most 2x sights are those fucking awful aperture sights, which are cloudy, imprecise, and still prevent you from cycling the bolt while zoomed on rifles.
If you find a weapon that has a 2x scope, use it. It's a big help, and it appears on weapons that you don't have to zoom out with.

2042 appears to have included bolt cycling while zoomed with iron sights, so you don't need a specific attachment for it.

there's been countless times where derivates of works has existed on the curtain of "improvements" which had a nefarious purpose of actuality by trying to tamper with people's systems

@ebon torrent I was on iwo jima trying to kill a plane with aa gun and it would fly directly at me each time, I was laying on the fire as it approaches and it 100% of the time kills you before you can shoot enough to kill it, by the time you get back to the AA it's healed and repeat
