In my BF4 experience, choppers are pretty much impossible for fighters to kill.
They're too small, durable, and agile for guns to effectively take down, and they can easily ECM away any missiles.
So the only thing that fighters can really go after are other fighters.

And I'm counting attack planes amongst fighters because those bastards are just as agile and are often straight up better dogfighters.
Functionally speaking, stealth fighters are usually just set dressing for the rest of the map. Their only effective anti-ground ordnance is the laser guided missile, which is an absolute pain to use.
Otherwise, all they can do is endlessly turnfight each other.
Also: I really wish 4 actually credited you for causing an enemy to crash. They introduced mobility kills for a reason.
Causing a diving attacker to eat shit should be worth something.

i found a way to climb over them - if you shoot just one of them at the front until the top of it is broken off and then go towards it, you can climb over it and put your tank on top of the spikes

Once I spawn in, a plane is already on its way to drop a 2-ton next to my feet, giving me about 10 seconds to live in a match.
Note; it isnt every map and it isnt every game that I use AAs
