I am not exaggerating or being funny when I say Battlefield 2042's beta is the worst FPS Multiplayer I have ever played.

To be fair, I don't intentionally play garbage video games. But as it stands, this shit is worse than COD: Vanguard. Or any COD game. I am utterly stunned.

I was really impressed with the new battlefield 2042 trailer and the unreal smoothness of the gameplay and visuals that i have decided to get it instead of the rather disappointing COD Vanguard. I have never played ANY battlefield game ever so i have no idea how the game works/feels. The only fps games i have ever played and am quite good at are COD cold-war/mobile and Titanfall 2 (best game i have ever played). @solid hinge Just is the flow of all these games for the last 8 years. Release something broken to meet quarterly sales figure expectations. Development teams are broken up and normally have a focus on adding new features instead of fixing defects (bugs). Year down the line new content has released AND the game is finally playable.
Look at Rainbox Six Siege for example. Played the beta and launch of that. Shit was so broken. Averaged 10k players on Steam at launch with a peak of 20k and now has a peak of 200k and an average of 51k.

and im speaking mainly from experience of other games, even studios like ubisoft work out most of the bugs from beta to release. they definitely dont spend a ton of time working on it but they definitely do spend some time. however youre mostly correct that it wont change much, they'll just iron out everything that is game breaking and leave the other bugs for later on when they have time. people that use the excuse "its just a beta" tend to use it a bit too much to defend things IMO lol.

God I actually love the airdrop system. Some guy had the genius idea of placing an armored vehicle with AA on it ontop the big building and pretty much eliminated air superiority just by turning the building into a SAM site

Only real problem I have with 2042 is the gunplay feels like COD mobile with controller/mouse and keyboard connected

See, the attachment wheel is a bit finicky with the d pad, so you have to fumble around the menu for a good minute or so getting all the attachments you want, and this ends up making you get domed if your trying to change your magazines or put a new sight on

See, I had to go through the menu because I couldn't get any ammo from people, so I had to switch to my regular ammo magazine and since people were parachuting in right ontop of us and I was using a longer range scope for the people coming up the stairs from ontop the heli area, I had to switch sights as well, so I couldn't get a safe spot

its more like groups of 8 people around a few objectives while in battlefield 1/5, its like 50 people on one objective

the problem with big maps is that they take longer to make too, so less maps and less content
