The gun play feels like COD. Jets are literally unplayable in 2042 therefore Helis dominate. And as far as the tick rate goes. You're bringing up games with smaller servers on maps that are 1/8th the size of 2042.

Im trying to remember what battlefield was balanced. I guess 4 was the most balanced a couple months after release. This I agree with. This new one has some problems, but doesnt seem crazy. The difference in weapons right now is a pretty big though. Helicopters feel pretty strong, but this feels like jet pilots kinda stink since there are no private servers yet.

I think the gunplay is fine but that might be because I've gotten used to MW a bit.
I personally had a harder time with jets in a helicopter, they can easily take out scout choppers and get away from attack helicopters and gain a lot of distance.
My biggest concern was the tanks feeling underpowered.

So I did a shit ton of testing last night
went through YouTube comments, discord messages, Facebook replies, a lot of places and found a large list of complaints to test out on my series s. What I found was that it seems your hardware has a large impact on your experience as well as your playstyle. The series x/s version was very balanced in terms of weapons and vehicles. It wasn't lacking at all in performance and looked amazing. Issues like low recoil or weak rockeys didn't seem to exist as I was able to take down vehicles consistently. While a lot of people were using it, the grapple wasn't as op as people make it seem. The map didn't feel empty at all, every objective was filled with combat, and if you managed to get the majority it almost felt too small as choke points filled with players, it was hard to pick an enemy to shoot. It's definitely different but not bad.

The xbox one version was a completely different experience, low frames, high input latency, inconsistent damage modals. Was hard to consistently take down vehicles as rockets would randomly be very weak but not every time. Bullet velocity was weird, it would look very slow but my hits wouldn't land unless I stopped leading as much. The map felt emptier as most of my games were played near the rockets and not the outskirts, objectives were basically the same all game. I think the inconsistency made it hard for objectives to be captured as I players struggled to destroy vehicles or kill campers.

But, I have confidence all these issues will be resolved by launch, so I wouldn't worry about buying new hardware

Fortnite arguably has one of the best hit regs with 100 players and requires some of the most responsive gameplay due to how fast people build. I don't thing the tick rate is the problem. I genuinely believe the reason the game hit regs feel so terrible is because of the range and bullets have travel time and player movement speed is quick. People aren't used to fighting with assault rifles at the same distance people fought with snipers in other battlefield games. It can and will be improved I am sure as the actual hit reg is not great. But that alone makes it feel much worse then it actually is.

my problem so far is that because there are no classes people are going to funnel into one specific loadout really fast. For example, let’s take BF4, remove the classes, and then remove the range edge that weapons had back then, which isn’t present in this beta. Everyone would run engineer because combatting and repairing your own vehicles is too valuable, and then the ACE 23, AEK... whatever AR people decided was the best I can’t remember. There’s also 128 players with missiles able to spawn at once? and why wouldn’t you carry a missile when vehicles are the real threat in conquest ?

In 2042, The M5 is a very common weapon and regardless of where it hits you, you're basically screwed. Either because one of your vitals die, such as your engine and tracks (which should only happen if it hits there, but in cases like my most recent game, you kill one guy and his entire squad jump in a Super Hind and rush your vehicle with C5 and M5's while above you in a parachute. I feel the easiest way to fix this issue would be to nerf the M5 and possibly improve the module system. Another thing to possibly change for the developers is the amount of ground armor that can spawn. The maximum of two on this massive map along with constant air pressure from attack helicopters makes playing as armor difficult

Something bothers me about the way that Soldiers in the game hold semi auto pistols. It's not an actual thumbs forward grip which is the proper grip taught in militaries and law enforcement worldwide. It's ruining my IMMERSION.

drone gives more information, and can kamikazi. The movement of Grapple is way more valuable then a stationary turret that gets instant deleted. Medic healing is way better long range battles then having a turret would. Also rez anyone.

That doesn’t mean it’s balanced tho.. the drone should only be for recon. I don’t think you should be able to get kills with it.
The grapple is good because grapple we all seen it.
The turret is good just to be annoying to people attacking you, they have to think about at least something else suppressing them that isnt just you.
And the medic can be very annoying if someone is using her while sniping and has the ammo crate equipped.

Its disgusting to spawn in helicopter dive onto tank and kill him. The moment drop for parachute is instant. If you tap spacebar in last 2 seconds you take 0 damage. Kinda crazy

anti air right now. Tanks are pretty easy to take out. If you take out your air the helicopters and jets will kill tanks anyways

There aren’t spots for snipers to be at on this map.
Specific metas only work for certain maps. You can’t go sniper only on pearl market and camp because pearl market is a suppression hellfire, however on maps like Dragon Pass, there’s always those snipers on those mountains the entire game. Now imagine those with unlimited ammo and fast healing capabilities.

theyd do better at just introducing calsses, not specialists

engineer gets this perk, sniper gets this, assault gets tat, maybe even make it intuitive as in whatever you equipe which is in whatever pool classes, gets choses as the "main class" when making that custom loadout for that bonus perk
