It's a fucking blast. There are a few caveats though such as the engineers having to choose repair tool or rocket launcher meaning they can't have both at the same time. Or that there's no scoreboard. Or maybe that the servers are being hit so hard many people can't play. Apart from those things I've noticed and a couple of performance inconsistencies, the game itself brings back the memories. It's really fun, I'd say.
