The Pacific maps themselves were probably originally conceived about the same time as Provence originally was. It was originally smaller and fit Chapter 4 better, so it was released then, earlier. Then came the Pacific, which was much bigger and clearly had some level of completion to it by the time the Chapter 4 trailer released (given the teaser at the end). Then again...lets not either of us pretend like we know the actual development timeline behind the scenes. Holy textwall batman

Yes, but that mode isn't really Battlefield in the sense of what the franchise stands for. A mode that involves only 10-15 people, closing them in one building is the near antithesis of the series that is known for massive, 64 (or 128) player battles involving vehicles and a vast arsenal, where one building can be just about leveled entirely.

Ground deformation is important. It gives areas with less cover, more cover. There’s loads of times id hide in foxholes in BF1. You can still do it in V. But for some reason ground holes aren’t actually in the ground. They’re decals on top of the landscape.

And as for the foliage destruction, you can destroy bushes and small trees, but big trees are invincible. Where as you could destroy all the branches off of them in BF1
