No I mean the bullets are literally gravity-defying. They drop at 6m/s² instead of the 9.81/ms² that gravity normally works at. I don't know...why exactly they chose to do that instead of some other solution, but oh well. It's nice either way to have a more accurate rifle.

I don't like MMGs being relegated to that type of play when they have some appealing stats
LMGs let me run n gun but most shoot too damn slow and are really lacking in magazine size so you can get wrecked hard up close and they don't let you take out groups reliably

It also doesnt help that ARs are a category of weapon since theyre effectively more mobile lmgs. This isnt true now adays but in ww2 lmgs were the main source of firepower. Im not trying to say the bf should copy IRL squad tactics but this has to be taken into account when designing a game with ww2 guns.
For example: the Bren has a 20 round mag and fires at 500 rpm. The STG is also 500 rpm but with a 30 round mag and its significantly more mobile. IRL the Bren was rather powerful due to the lack of ARs but in bfv it and other mgs lag far behind. Even if the Bren is not necessarily worse than the STG, it still looses a lot of its purpose.

It sucks that one of if not THE most competitive LMG is the starter KE7 with fire rate upgrade
It's such a generic gun but the fire rate and 25 round mag are about as good as it gets for run n gun support that also wants to have a chance of wiping three guys with the LMG alone
