It's a double-edged sword though, honestly. If you just go with what the old fans want then you don't get anywhere in terms of any real progress or change, which might turn away any potential new fans. Vice versa, if you go too wide, you might turn away old fans. It's honestly kind of a shite scenario and I feel bad that game devs have to deal with decisions like that. It's either make more money and piss off old fans or make less money and get no real change in the playerbase.

Obviously money is a necessity here, and not everyone can afford to just make a AAA title that only a a few tens of thousands of people are gunna buy, you know?

BF4 is about to be reinstalled and other than solo campaign, I haven't really played it since back on the 360

BF is the perfect game.

Never E-Sports which means not too grindy.

Not too realistic which makes it less fun.

And perfect activities for a casual player like me.

The only exception are milsimmers, but they shouldn't be in BF.

And these dinguses think it's the new ARMA.

It is just COD with more attention to detail on military theme and vehicles and a huge urban warfare.
