when it comes to modern guns vs the m1 garand, there are at least 120 guns I would rather use than the M1 garand.

Medic: MP28, MP34, Suomi, Type 2A, Type 100, ZK-383 again literally whatever they're almost all good

the m1 garand was a battle rifle and it completed that role for a good while, but overall it's impractical when it comes to a modern combat scenario. Even in the situations it was originally used in there are hundreds if not thousands of better weapons that replace its role perfectly
