I highly recommend using very high recoil weapons like the Type 2A (under Medic SMGs) or M3 Grease Gun (also under Medic SMGs) for a good while and adjusting to their high recoil then learning to counter it from there

You can either enter an empty tank or a friendly tank that isn't full yet with square or you choose to spawn in a tank over the deploy menu when hovering over the cog wheel symbol if its available and not on cooldown.
You switch seats with x, hold L2 to zoom for aiming R2 to fire, triangle to switch weapon if you're in the driver seat. I don't remember which it was but either L3 or R3 in the driver seat will let you switch the pov back and forth between the inside pov and outside pov.
If you're out of ammo you can go to a resupply station and hold L1 (also repairs), you can repair by holding up on the dpad or sometimes there are instant repair for a little health with pressing left on the dpad.
If you've chosen to spawn as support class you can repair your vehicle by getting the tool out with down on dpad then aiming on the vehicle and holding R1
