I've attempted to troubleshoot an issue with Battlefield V now for almost a week. I've followed several crash fixes found on the forums, in live chat with EA Help and on other web sites.

For one reason or another, when I launch the game it crashes to desktop as soon as it reaches the main menu. I was able to circumvent this (albeit begrudgingly) with setting up a new user account on Windows. This allowed me to move beyond the main menu and join a game, but it would crash within minutes of gameplay.

After some thorough testing, what finally stabilized the game was changing the audio to Wartapes. That being said, there are certain explosions (which I believe might be those from artillery strikes) that will cause the game to freeze and crash to desktop.
